Restaurant décor/ambiance and the lobby area.
One elevator was out of service for a day. Underground parking is gloomy and not well lit.
Accommodations and clean
Location right off the expressway
we paid nearly nothing for such a lovely room! easy parking great facilities comfy and quite bed/room
What a shame that I don't often travel to Shelton CT for if I did, I'd make a habit of staying at this hotel! The place is beautiful, clean and very friendly. Close to shopping and dining. Location was quiet and picture perfect!
I always stay here!
The lobby ambiance (indoor/outdoor), decor, seating, orange and lemon water in lobby. Friendly and helpful and courteous staff. The lighting in the hotel room bathroom, the shower head and curved curtain rod, overall the bathroom itself is pleasingly laid out although the toilet paper was quite uncomfortable and difficult to reach. The chairs in the hotel room were very comfy. Appreciated the view of the trees from the hotel room window. The overall room decor, including artwork selection was very pleasing and comfortable and in good taste. The Keurig coffee and tea options are impeccable. The Neutrogena bath products were sufficient. The hotel room towels were comfy and pleasing also, as were the pillows and bedding. The number and availability of outlets in easy to access areas (on the lamps especially) was a delightful discovery. The lobby bathroom facilities were very clean and pleasing. The food ordered from the hotel kitchen was quite delicious (the 1/2 chicken, french fries and fresh fruit were especially delicious).
Stayed in a room with 2 full beds, and the beds were very uncomfortable, lumpy with no springiness; just plain old. Thought the beds would at least be comparable to to very comfortable beds at a Best Western Plus, but they were far older and far inferior. The pool/sauna area was poorly ventilated and there were never enough towels available at peak use times. Also for the safety of guests, please install a water cooler or provide some other source of drinking water in the pool area. The floor drainage in the pool area was also dangerously poor, as much as 1/4th to 1/2 an inch of water sits across much of the floor when both pool and sauna are in use at full capacity. The photos on the website are also sadly misleading about the size of the pool area. Please provide the TV guide channel in the lineup or some other version of a TV guide in the rooms or the website to access the schedule for the TV channels available in the hotel. The carpet in the hotel room seemed old and not shampooed in a really long time.
the night front desk lady gave us a free mini milk for my preschooler's bedtime drink.
no free breakfast. no way to keep the bathroom door open I agree that the $50 hold for "5-7 business days" seemed a bit excessive.
I used to work here when it first opened. Its a property i trust and plus i was able to see an old friend, Cathy. Still working her butt off in the restaurant. My companion said hes never stayed in a nicer place for his birthday. Thanks for the comfort.
convenience to freeway bed A/C staff room 127 convenient to parking coffee maker/refridgerator elec outlets in lamps
ridiculous location of toilet paper no complimentary breakfast room 127 noisy from pool room 127 noisy from stairwell lobby
We have stayed here for every June/July for last 4 years and all experiences were good. We will stay here again next year. Location is close to where we had work. Hotel is Clean and the staff are very helpful.
I LOVED the shower!!!!!
It was way to hot in the pool area.
The shuttle bus, great breakfast, goid value for the money
Tv was small and slow reacting. Room could use some refurbishing
Rooms are nice and clean. Like Underground parking.
Pool was indoors. Would be ok if water in pool heated, however room was very hot and like sauna. Wasnt enjoyable.
Clean and comfortable room. Convenient location, we had a room on the lower ground level with parking garage right outside the end of the hall.
The door to the garage was NOT locked at nite even tho the sign stated it would be. Hot tub in pool area had no timer or start button and we called the front desk and we're told there was none. What's the point of that? Pool water was COLD.
Staff excellent both at reception and at breakfast. Room comfortable and clean.
Coffee in Rooms was not best quality. I like having a fresh cup upon rising but that coffee was very poor quality. Also one of the creamers was very expired.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The amenities in the room were up.to par. The food from the restaurant was fantastic!
The breakfast options were great however I did not like that you had to pay for a bowl of cereal that I set up for myself. However thats just a misunderstanding on my part. I thought that usual stuff was complimentary and the made to order food was an extra charge.
The staff at the hotel were very pleasant. The breakfast was very good. It was worth the fee for it.
Nice beds. Good loacation.
Bar is advertised open until 11 and checked on this upon arrival. Was told if it is busy they will even stay open later. 2 of 3 nights there they were closed by 9:00 - no explanation, just closed. Restaurant closed early one night as well. Buffet overpriced for breakfast. Pool area dirty. No control for hot tub. Called for towels twice and they never came. Will go back to Hampton Inn next time.
The pool was really nice.
Dining was okay.
Staff very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Hospitality table in the lobby is a nice touch. We've stayed at this facility quite a number of times and look forward to going back each time,
The $50 hold on my credit card for five days was new and somewhat arrogant. I'm someone who has never stiffed anybody, and I resent the lack of confidence in my integrity. New window leaked at top during heavy rainstorm (Rm.615).
It was a good choice for us.
