Our A/C did not properly keep our room cool. Did not sleep well.
That it was close to my to the starting line and finish line of my long beach marathon. Also they provided a shuttle.
I spend over $250 for one night stay and I felt that they didn't cater to runners. They didn't have coffee or any snacks for runners. Staff wasn't very friendly, they had no free wifi, no free parking and what was worse is that they charged $75 extra for late check out! I heard several people complaining about that and everyone was rushing during check out to avoid the extra fee which made it impossible to use the elevators. I was super tired from running a marathon, the least thing I wanted was to walk up or down some stairs. Never going to stay there again!!
Had the best time! Loved the bed so comfortable, my husband, 6 month baby, and I slept, well like a baby. Bathroom was big and most importantly clean, as well as the room. The staff were helpful and nice, I even scored free parking because it was my birthday. Overall its was awesome. I plan to come back again for my next long beach adventure!

The hotel is perfect for a quick weekend getaway; my partner and I were attending the Lobster Fest and staying at the Hilton was perfect due to pricing (value) and location.
We requested a room with a balcony (which we've had in the past) and when we arrived at our room, it overlooked the roof of the hotel and a school! Very disappointed. Requested another room and were surprised to learn we were being moved to the 14th floor; however, someone was standing in the hallway smoking and there were adolescents across the hall; very noisy (at 1 a.m. no less)!
Loved the lobby, lobby bar and restaurant. Ate about 4 meals there and the food was superb. Staff was very attentive.
Room was very dated, old stained wallpaper, cracked and rusted sink, old pitted light fixtures and the worst lighting I have ever experienced in a hotel. It was SOOO dark I honestly couldn't put my makeup on! Housekeeping not the best I have seen. For the price I paid I was very disappointed. I saw room service trays sitting in hall for 3 straight days! Same trays. There were lots of hidden fees and taxes I was not aware of. I will not be back.
The bed was super comfortable! I love the city view and the hotel was huge. The location was great. It was close to everything. I love it that it's right by the freeway entrance.
The hotel is pretty old and you can tell.

Easy to get to and from the Queen Mary, I had a three day event there. Staff very helpful, valet had my car ready . room service was quick and food was good and not over priced. I was able to have my dog without being stuck in a nasty room or some noisy section which is always worse when traveling with a dog. No weight restrictions, a fixed fee for the length of my stay.
The sign coming into the driveway was almost not visible. Almost missed it several times.

What I liked about that place is that I made it out alive.
I didnt like the fact that I paid $700 for two room. The stuff treated us like we were children with no respect and no dignity. They didnt want to accommodate our needs when we ask months in advance. We wanted the rooms to be together so are group can be together not on different floors. They gave us a hard time about moving closer and that they never got the accommodation we asked for and that I was a lier. I got mad and pulld up the confirmation on my email that the hotel sent me and there u see the accommodation I had made 2month ago. after I showed the front desk the email he just Rolled hes eyes and gave up a closer room on the same floor. On are way to the room everywhere we whent there were drinking glasses all over the place. The elevators were disgusting and unsafe. The whole Hotel smells like a big diaper. our rooms smelled like armpits and urine. I call the front desk and ask to speak with the manager. And they told us to call back cuz he was on lunch. I dont know who I spoke with but I gave them my phone number so the manager can call me. Later that afternoon our group decided to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt and try the restaurant on 2nd floor. The place was empty took the waitress 20 minutes to settle us down. the waitress was very grouchy and rude and new nothing about the menu selection when we ask questions. Her reply to us was it good and fresh and very Californian. Then we asked what's she meant by californian. Her reply was its good. Then walked away. 20min went by then she returned and asked if we were ready yet. We askd a few more questions and in one of them my cuzin asked how many calories does a fish tacos have then I said I don't think she's going to know stuff like that. Then she snapt at me by saying yes I do I have a degree in nutrition and iv bein working here at the restaurant for 20 years, once she got done disrespecting me.

It was fairly close to downtown.
You have to pay an additional $17/day to park. We tried to park one night in the garage and were told we had to go to an uncovered lot pretty far out back because the garage was full then while walking the distance around to the front of the hotel the parking attendant let 3 other cars in the garage. They were told they can drive around and see if they can find a spot however we were not given the opportunity to do the same. The pool had limited lounge chairs and the ones it did have the covers are all torn on the cushions. It also smelled of wet dog on the floor we were on the whole time we were there.

The extra fees charged and $17 for parking is a bit ridiculous. A little far to walk anywhere. Also the receptionist at the front desk told us they had 24hr room service but she was wrong they do not have 24hr room service
Checked in few hours early which was nice.
Booked 2 rooms one with 2 queens and one with a king. Called and cancelled the room with the single bed and when checked in they cancelled the wrong room so I ended up with 4 people with a single bed
The fire alarm went off at 1 am and no one knows why it went off in the first place and people like us that are in the 10th and 12th floors rushed down and no announcements were made what was going on. After an hour we were told everything is fine and we can go back to the rooms. After we went back in 1/2 hr it went off again and again no communication. We went down again to find out and we were told they are fixing the alarm. None of us could sleep the rest of the night as the alarm was going off for every half hour until 6 am in the morning. Nobody cared to let the guests know what they were doing. I stayed in hilton many times and never experienced something like this before.
The facilities were very nice and the location can't be beat.
We were provided misinformation regarding our reservation by phone. Later at the hotel, our concern was not properly acknowledged or addressed.
Location was perfect. Everything we needed or had planned to do on spring break was within walking distance. We had a very relaxing vacation & would book at the Hilton again.
the parking was horendous dont think you should have to pay for parking. the shower had slow drainage
