Score from 409 reviews Good
This historic New Orleans hotel was built in a refurbished bank and still features some of the original vault doors. It is less than a 15-minute walk from the French Quarter.
Score from 95 reviews Very good
This historic boutique hotel is located less than a mile from New Orleans’ vibrant French Quarter District.
Score from 263 reviews Excellent
Great staff and very accommodating. Great and spacious room with everything we needed in the room! I really enjoyed my stay and will be setting up another stay sometime soon! Great location and great overall experience
one downfall was some hotels in the city have a bar that is open all the time or the front desk can at least access more drinks for us. We were celebrating and we wanted to get a bottle of wine or champagne, and that was not available. It did ruin my stay but would've made it that much sweeter
Room is small
My room was too small
Close enough to the french quarter. A bit far to walk from Frenchmen area through. On the trolly line .
Everyone I spoke with was very helpful.
Seemed a bit run down, but they were also clearly working to improve the appearance (they were painting the lobby).
Great staff and location. Room was very clean and comfortable. Housekeepers did a great job making sure everything was okay and clean. Only complaint was that on the first night we had no hot water and after a 6 hour drive I was really looking forward to a hot shower, it was however fixed by the second morning! Overall had an amazing stay and would definitely stay again.
No hot water on the first night.
Staff was super friendly and helpful.
The location is great.
The staff was rude and unhelpful. They put us on the 18th floor where construction was going on and banging would start as soon as 8 am which woke us up most days. There was plastic all over the floors. If you expect a 4 star hotel you won't get it. If you expect to get your money's worth you won't.
Hot tub was not working
The valet service was very informative. The room was clean and comfortable.
The desk service was very suspect. On the second day started with a young man at the desk who just didn't know. When I checked out, I asked about the parking fee. I was told $100.00, but the charge should have been a little over $80.00 with tax.
Everything was nice, clean. Comfortable.
Run out of hot water after first shower!!??
Rooms were clean. Staff was nice.
We had 2 rooms on different floors and neither one had hot water, just lukewarm. The front desk always said they were out of change. They vaccummed outside our room at 3am. That makes for a long night. The restaurant bar is small without much bar seating.
We had NO hot water in our room!!!
Convenience to all locations, especially the streetcars!
Location was convenient. Never too far from anything. Great place to pass out after Bourbon Street.
Ice machines aren't guaranteed to be on your floor. It didn't ruin the trip, but it was a noticeable inconvenience.
The staff was very nice!
The lie they told me at the front desk such as "this hotel is booked", and there are "no upgrades". We had no hot water for the 2 days we stayed, and a door to the bathroom was jammed. The only breakfast we were entitled to was 2 eggs, grits, and biscuit. Who wants to eat the same thing 3 days in a row? The free breakfast was included in our price of the hotel. Our stay was awful, and I could have been at home if I wanted aggravation. We were uninformed that the hotel had 100 rooms under renovation. So, how could it have been "booked"? Booking.com was at fault here as well as the Hilton for not telling their customers of that situation. The bed in the second room they transferred us to was "hard as a rock". So glad we left a day early.
Location was central to all we wanted to do. Restaurant was AWESOME. Comfortable bed and pillows, slept great. Enjoyed executive privileges.
The only downer was lukewarm water in bath, had to change rooms, still never really had hot water during our stay. Would still stay here again, but it was aggravating. Also, they were powerwashing the front of the building. Very wet.
Restaurant was pricey but good
Broken Coffee Maker Shower was only lukewarm Parking Fee
Beds size of room
Coffee and no frig
St. Charles Hilton is always our choice when going to a saints game. It's always clean, comfortable, convenient and the staff is always helpful and nice.
The room was comfortable and clean with necessities.
We thought we had some type of light breakfast with the room.
the room was very nice , the staff was great
that when I booked this they did not tell me the hotel was under rentavations
I wish I had gotten the young mans name but he was great. Helped us get parked across the street because my truck was something the hotel could not park. Helped with our luggage up and down and was great with my son. White guy with a funny haircut. Great visit will be back
The beds were very comfortable.
Had a funny smell. A little mildewy. Wasn't over powering, but was noticeable.
We stayed there on 6/29. We had to evacuate the building from the 18th floor due to a fire alarm. I had a hip injury and it took us about 20 mins to evacuate the building. What was disappointing is that no one came to see if any one was still in the stair well. I would think that the hotel would have procedures in place in case of a fire to make sure the building was evacuated. This happened not once but twice. We reached the 15th floor the second time, I could not go any futher because of my injury, lucky for me it was a false alarm. After second time, I had the hotel to move me to the second floor in case it happened again. Your evacuation procedures needs improvement.
