Excellent location: 5th Av., Broadway, Central Park. View from some rooms. Rich Breakfast, but rather expensive, too. - Had to change rooms twice: both were next to the service starcase: an awful noise started from 5AM, which deprived us from any sleep! - Window isolation is really poor: thus noisy and cold - Mess with billing: I was charged 1 night more, which I discovered by chance, then had to prove for 30min by phone that I didn't stay that night! |

I really liked it's location. Very near of Central Park, Theathers and 5th Ave. The room was very big and the bathroom very good! I liked every thing. The only point is that it's too big and crowd. But for me, it isn't a problem, because there are many elevators, and there isn't queue. |

the concierge was good and helpful We are frequent guests of Hilton properties worldwide... but this property dissapointed me extremely... i have never seen more rude and mean staff.. the house keeping department would enter our room at 9am without knocking.... they open the door and once the door is half opened they use to knock... this was absolutely appauling... we complained that our room was a connecting room and the next door ladies were soooo loud at 7am in the morning that we couldnt sleep well... very very dissapointing i hope these points get accross to the responsible person... |

Hilton New York is a reliable home away from home that lives up to the Hilton name. The registration staff and concierge staff are all professional, friendly and efficient. It's not the most luxurious but given the NYC hotel prices, it's definitly above average in comfort. There's no surprises, you get what you pay for. The best location for a first time mid-Manhattan tourist, it's within walking distance to everywhere. i.e.: theatre, dining, shopping, tour bus, central park. 1) The housekeeping staff were loud in the hallways (even in the morning when you want to sleep in), some did the minimal in the room. i.e.: Didn't always re-stock coffee & teas, etc. 2) The side doors to the hotels were always locked, you had to walk around to the main door, where the crowds were, all the time. 3) As well the taxi line up was forever long. (sometimes 20 mins during late afternoons to early evenings) Eventhough it has a driveway (not all hotels do), it was always chaotic. (not too orderly) |

location was exceptionally convenient to shopping, museums, central park and theatre district. Good restaurants and delis nearby in 7th and Broadway. room was small. No wine glasses provided and replenishment of coffee service had to be constantly requested. |

The location is good. I called ahead of time to make sure my daughter could check in earlier in the day since my flight was very late. I was told that this would not be a problem. When she arrived your hotel staff refused to check her in and she had to wait in a coffee shop for over four hours. This is unacceptable. Also the hotel seems too big to be managed well. |
