The service and the luxury of the hotel
Everything about the place, the staff seems to genuinely want to help and appears to like their job. They also had information when we asked and were up to date on current events happening on the River Walk.
I really would have like to sit on my balcony to watch the parade. I realize now that reservations have to be made very early. I am considering making reservations for next year.
I liked almost everything about this hotel. It's location was perfect for our purposes. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were awesome.
Some traffic noise and rooms were close to the elevators and you could hear them throughout the night.
Decor, ambience, location. Great breakfast buffet
We booked on a VERY busy weekend. Line of cars for Valet and registration. We changed plans and ate an early dinner then came back to checkin. Due to crowds was a bit noisy until early am
special care from staff;,room service, housekeeping, and valet added to this wonderful christmas get-away in a perfect setting on the riverwalk
found nothing lacking in this visit
Everything but the parking cost
$39 per day valet parking is ridiculous
Location is good and hotel is a good size. Lobby is impressive and clean.
Hotel restaurant is horrible, cost for the room is severely inflated for the area. Resturant staff is inattentive and careless. Food is less than adequate for a international chain. We saw roaches while dining on the river, hotel staff was not concerned.
Friendly staff and late check out. Liked having the Fridge in the room.
Was directly on riverwalk
Excellent Location in Downtown area.
Location Staff was helpful
Room was too warm thermostat was not adjusting suggesting temperature is centrally controlled. Had to open the balcony door for some fresh air and dealt with loud train horns all night. Received UPS shipment during my stay and was charged for it. No real restaurant choices
The Hotel was clean for the most part and the people on the staff were friendly. My room had a balcony and that was nice.
It is an older hotel and the rooms were somewhat small. I didn't like the elevators because of the keypad system. The shower didn't work the greatest as the shower head was broken. The bathroom was very small.
When we checked in we were ask why we were there. Response: Celebrating our 36 th anniversary. We stayed there on our Honeymoon. The lady said she would send up a bottle of wine, and ask my wife what she preferred. We never got the wine.
The view from the balcony and the staff was excellent
To have onsight parking we would have to pay $37.00 per day. We had to park off property and walk to the hotel. There was also no continintal breaskfast. The room rate was $219.00 per day. For that price we should be able to park and have breakfast. I travel on my job and stay in alot of hotels for 1/3 the cost with these amenities. We have decided if we come back to San Antonio we will stay elsewhere.
Location was great and nice breakfast
Traffic noise on road side.
Being close to the river & the quietness!
The Billing..very confusing! Wasn't the only one with questions! Have stayed at Hiltons before never seen a bill like this! Couldn't figure out what exactly what was charged.
location room size staff are very nice
expensive parking no parking on site paid Wi-Fi is slow
I did like the location, space in my room, and restraunt.
I did not like that when we pulled up we waited 15min in the car for the vallet to approach us, when we realize no onw was coming we unloaded our own bags. I did not like that there was standing water in the tub while I was showering and soap scum on the soap dish. I did not like that room service promised within 30min and came almost an hour later and cold. I have been there twice and had a great stay but this past weekend may have been my last visit.
A bed condition was so comfortable and clean.
A lift system was too smart to easily reach to a right floor. Much simple system must be better.
The location is perfect, everything near, the views from the room. The room was clean.
We were a party of six and booked rooms for each one. There was a problem with the booking and apart of trying to charge more than was indicated in the reservation, they wanted us to re charge us the fees, treated us badly in the reception and two of the group had to share a room due to the inefficiency of the receptionist.
Balcony was covered in pigeon droppings. Could not sit in chairs, looked like area was never cleaned.
We had a birthday weekend planned but my boyfriend had something way bigger up his sleeve. Along with Russell, the director of operations, they planned a secret proposal. So if you are planning something special this hotel can get the job done. They were so nice and accommodating. Made this trip something I will never forget.
The city view side was a little loud for my fiancé. But it didn't bother me at all. I liked the sounds of a little traffic and people out having fun. But if you are sensitive to noise, get a river side room.
I pretty much loved everything about my stay here and it allowed me to better enjoy my trip to San Antonio
The only thing I didnt like was the long line to get in the night I got there
All staff very very friendly, courteous, and helpful. And absolutely love the large balcony with the room!!
All pillows too hard and full, put my neck at a painful angle.
