Location, cleanliness, comfort of beds
Location was excellent. Right downtown. We were able to walk to all of out shoopin, eating and entertainment. Valet was quick and very friendly. Coffee machine in room, and great blend. The lounge across the street had good food, though not much selection for the restaurant being closed. Was a little disappointed.
Our room was so small, and we thought we would get 2 queens, but ended up with 2 full size. We a tight squeeze for 2 average sized women bunking together. Bathroom was quite small as well. Restaurant in hotel was under renovation, but did not say so on the website. Luckily there were very moderatly priced restaurants very close, within a few blocks.
By far... The BEST holiday spirited motel we have ever stayed in. The king bed was very comfortable. Room service staff was fast and efficient - pleasantly surprised over the size of serving and very cost comparative. The recreation area was outstanding. A large selection modern equipment, exceptionally clean and friendly staff. Salt water pool, eucalyptus steam room. EXCELLENT...
The cost of breakfast buffet on 23rd floor restaurant was too high for selections offered. Cost of internet "In room" was too high and surprising that a charge was required.
Sound of water in the pipes that woke us up several times during the night.
They booked it so there were no noisy neighbors, very relaxing. Liked lighting and the location.
Key cards didn't work, 2-first time and 1-second time after fixing. The tub needs caulking and a good grout bleaching. Wasn't as clean as it should be (missed areas). At Thanksgiving dinner I left the restaurant feeling like I would throw up. Didn't gave key card on me. The arrogant man at the end podium gave me the key, the men's key. I walked back and forth 3 times trying to get access. It was a good thing I didn't throw up all over the carpet in front of people. Uncomfortable and a little angry afterward.
Good, speedy elevators; decent room service.
No wine glasses; no refrigerator; no microwave; paper thin cheap robes; $27/day for parking; movies costing $18. No exhaust fan in bathroom.
Samantha at front desk and Shaun, the concierge and baggage man were terrific and went the extra mile in customer service. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Free internet in public areas, according to hotel literature. Waiters were happy to get us coffee to go (free with breakfast), even when it meant brewing a pot mid-afternoon (not free but very modest charge).
Room with 2 beds was a bit dated, esp. the bathroom: No exhaust fan. (Seriously? Even at "discount" internet room rates we expect better from a Hilton. Even Motel 6 has fan at 30% of nightly rate.)Continuous noise (pipes?) behind the wall went on all night long. Internet-in-room fee was unreasonably high but it didn't matter on this trip since we didn't need it.
Beds, sheets, and blankets absolutely excellent.
Bathroom shower not up to the price of the room. Found much better showers in cheaper hotels in Europe. A good shower with a top of the line shower head is really welcomed after a long day of travel.
Rude young man on reception. Told us nothing. We had to ask others if there was a pool etc. large charge for valet parking, with massive queues ling up on busy road. Had to give up after going around block 6 times - and self park further away. Wi Fi very expensive
The hotel was clean and in a good location
It's seems archaic that there is no free wi-fi when many cheaper and smaller hotels offer this for every customer
Staff were friendly and very helpful
Water heater went out so no hot shower until almost check out. Made for an interesting morning meeting. :(
All of it, the hotel and staff were exceptional
It was within walking distance to the Roseland theater.
Was supposed to have a fridge in our room and there wasn't one. Side table had melted chocolate on it. Napkins by the coffee maker were clearly used, but still left for use to use. No hand soap in bathroom, had to use the body wash soap instead. Bathroom door was a pocket door with frosted glass so you could see through when people were in there. No fan in the bathroom when taking a shower. Small room. Bed was supposed to be a King size but seemed more like a large queen, not full king.
location, very clean, fitness room.
Wi-Fi was not complimentary in the hotel rooms, parking very expensive.
The place is center of the downtown. You can walk to a famas farmers market in ten minutes.
There was no refrigerator in the room.
Size of room and bed
The location was close to the NInes where the wedding was. Thought they were too expensive and had better value @ the Hilton Tower. Most of the attendants tried their best, especially the cleaning staff. the outside concierge stood out for friendliness, interest and service as well. Unhappy receptionist the day we checked out, didn't attempt to be personable at all.
the weather was very nice and warm outside sunny. the lobby and hallways were exceptionally cold, frigid!figure you don't need to waste so much energy on airconditioning. hard adjustment to body temperature coming in from the outside. Portland a beautiful City getting cluttered up with a waste of drugged out humanity. many idle people hanging around, leaving their garbage and cigarette butts on the streets. The Pearl district and around William Sonoma, much nicer. The people hanging out in the Main Downtown area gave us and many other guests from out of town and country and a very sad impression of downtown Portland, there is a major evident alcohol, drug and lack of ambition problem there. we have travelled a lot and this is one of the worst we have noticed.
The location is right downtown, so easy to get around anywhere on foot.
Overly priced. You are paying to stay at "Hilton", but stayed at other not-so-well-known hotels during this trip, and got better value and amenities, i.e. free wifi, refrigerator, etc.
Access to transportation and eateries is excellent.
Fee for wifi.
Clean. Nice architecture. Top rate furniture
Small closet sized rooms. A bit claustaphobic.
Staff was a little stiff at times
typicaly comercial US hotel. No character. All cost cutting measures left this far from memberable.
Staff was super friendly. Younger gentleman working the front desk when we checked out even remembered my name!
