Scenic location, boats and a cruise ship passing by. Friendly airport transfer staff. Complimentary transport 4x/day to&from a downtown shopping plaza with restaurants and entertainment.
Restaurant menu limited, nothing planned as "Special of Day", just the constant portion-controlled food choices.
Friendly staff helped with early check in after cruise and printing boarding passes as well as info on nearby restaurants. Beds are very comfortable and request for extra pillows was promptly filled.
Bed was very comfortable but down comforter was too warm & made sleep difficult.

Room service was very good and the food was great. My steak was cooked perfectly. My room had a view of the harbor,which was very nice.
If you are going to charge for a large bottle, even though there was a price tag on it, you should at least have small bottles as a complimentary since San Diego water is tastes horrible. Also, the fridge was not even turned on and there's no telling how long it would have taken to get cold.
Liked the weather and the cucumber water in the lobby
i reserved a room with marina view. after checking in we were assigned room #420 with no view whatsoever. we went down to the front desk and were told we could change rooms for a $5 charge. I was embarrassed, as the room we moved in to was also a lesser expensive room as it was on the other side of the building. This experience left a poor taste in my mouth for the remainder of our stay.
Great staff Decent bar Nice rooms Great view This is an older hotel that has recently undergone renovation. The entry is modern and sleek, the staff immediately available and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The view of the bay, while ours was not the VERY best, was still a beautiful view overlooking the bay from the Coronado bridge (we didn't have the downtown skyline, but many rooms do).
75 DOLLAR UNDISCLOSED PET FEE Because we are in negotiations to open a new restaurant in San Diego, we find ourselves traveling there quite a bit. We have, recently, stayed at the Westin downtown, the Sheraton Harbor Island (30 seconds away from this hotel), and the Hotel Palomar (a Kimpton hotel). Our recent experience with these properties is that pet fees in high end hotels are a thing of the past. More than that, at the Westin and Palomar they brought dog beds and bowls to the room. They reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee if it proves necessary, but there is no upfront fee. They are also exceptional facilities, one and all, far superior to this Hilton The Hilton charges slightly less for a room, but then tacks the 75 dollars on top of the room fee making it significantly more expensive than its superior brethren. While we probably would have happily stayed at the Hilton again, we almost certainly won't as long as they persist in this outdated practice.

Paying for Parking
Clean room, nice view of bay and pool.
$50 per night charge for incidentals and parking is $21 per night. Fourth floor smelled like cigarette smoke, horrible odor!!!
They got us a reservation at noon and we checked in at 1:30 pm. Had a marina view! The room was very clean and had a lot of space to move around. This location is great for anyone that needs to be close to the San Diego Airport.

I Liked the Location and the Room
I booked thru Booking.com, thought I was booking the Room I selected. When I got to the Hotel, the room was Not the One I booked and had to pay an Increase for the Room I wanted. Parking was Extra, Breakfast, even Continential Breakfast was Extra. No smoking on Balconies or anywhere on the premisis. None of this was mentioned in the adds for the Site. I extended my stay for an additional 2-days, and the costs for that and the upcharge for the 3-day stay originally booked, came to an additional $700.00
The staff not helpful
I enjoyed the balcony one very room that overlooked the water. What a beautiful spot. We also took advantage of the lounge and restaurant for breakfast, more views!
The bed was not very comfortable and I did not have my best sleep.
New Cook/Food was excellent. The food alone would make me come back. Rooms were nice with plenty of room, bed/slept awesome, love the view and balcony. Front desk personnel were really nice. I don't think I have one bad thing to say about my stay.
I needed an escape. The Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island was the perfect place. Located on the marina, there is a bay view on one side and a marina view on the other. The view at night was both romantic and soothing. The staff were right on the spot with great service, seeing to my every need. I will definitely book my next hotel stay in San Diego at this hotel!

Lobby and staff were very nice.
Terrible location over entrance driveway. How can you market this room "with an outside patio and harbor view" when you sit right over the entrance driveway? Who would sit on this patio....no privacy..night .view blocked by entrance lights at night. Bathtub/shower did not drain. Black hair on the bathroom floor. (I am a redhead). Yuk!
