How the check-in person handled not finding my reservation, and the hotel staff not having my room ready. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Hal Leonard and share my experience and he followed up by sending me a fresh fruit delivered from the manager of the check in desks.
large room & (clean) bath room Conveniently close to the Santa Fe Opera
WiFi costs extra (and is not very stable) Parking lot is loaded in the evening The fridge is actally an emly mini-bar and not working.
This is a beautifully design resort. My huge room was larger than an apartment I had in college. Beautifully designed, comfortable furniture, large bathroom with separate tub and shower areas. Lighting in the room (which I am very picky about) created a great ambiance. Loved the extra large balcony! Enjoyed the buffet and pool area.
The balcony only had 2 small chairs with no back cushion and a small table. I would have loved a chaise lounge to better relax and enjoy the area. Also, while I loved the pool area I would have preferred more flowers or plants to soften and give a oasis feel. However, I am being picky here.
did not like pets in the rooms. saw one couple that had four dogs.
The clean atmosphere and nice amenities
Losing so much money at the casino. The machines were way too tight. I don't mind losing money if it at least keeps you entertained longer than just continuously feeding the machines and having no fun.
Location was excellent- close to Santa Fe proper but not in the midst of traffic. The pool was a delight.
Ron was quite
We had no view just the a/c units. It was our anniversary and we're disappointed in the room.all we could see was the a/c units for what we paid it wasn't worth it.very disappointed in it
The drive from Santa Fe to Buffalo Thunder was breathtaking. Expansive horizons, blue sky, mesas, etc. The resort was decorated with Native American artwork. Details of the inside architecture included the use of wood beams and beautiful floors. The pool was gorgeous. Breakfast buffet was complete with many choices and very friendly service. Overall, a great destination for any age group!
The bed was not as comfortable as some Hilton beds, but it was still fine.
The beds were comfy and the room gets so dark at night that you never want to wake up! The pool was nice tool Not many hotels in Sante Fe have a pool.
We went out for the whole day and our room wasn't cleaned! I'm paying nearly $600 for two nights it better be clean! Also the TV remote and the phones didn't work at first. There was some miscommunication with the staff so we had to call three times to get it fixed.
The room, restaurants and deli, cafeteria, and swimming pools. Bellboys and front desk people were very gentle. Keep them!
The facilities to the indoor swimming pool were open until 8:00 am.
Enjoyed the art work at the resort. Also the all the staff
Some of the staff were not too friendly. They need more customer training. The rooms need to be upgraded. New beds needed. Curtains were torn and broken. Too high valet charges. Not enough handicap parking. Buffet needs to be open for more days and hours. A better grill area and food upgrade is needed. Not the same service if you book through a 3rd party(booking.com) you are not given a good room location. This came from a person at the front desk. We vacation there every year, but this year is the last year we will stay there.
Beautiful room and quiet
Beautiful room and furnishings. Great staff at the pool.
Front desk help was very slow and uninformative (3:30 pm on July 2nd). The Red Sage food selection was very limited and didn't feature the advertised Southwest tastes as stated in the on-line site. The food was excellent, but the price was too high compared to most similar style restaurants.
The staff was very attentive and helped whenever they could. We did have problems though as my wife got sick and never got out of the room so our stay was cut short and we had to leave early. The casino had the cigarette smell but wasn't as bad as I had read in other reviews.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like, other than some inconciderate customers who sit down next to you and light up. I just got up and went somewhere else. Only one thing bothered me was the tipping, like for valet service was a little high. Sixteen dollars for getting your car just one time was exspensive.
Liked the art works and the décor.
the bath was small. the shower was third rate...curved shower curtain that leaked when the shower was on.
The decor is nice and the beds were comfortable.
This is a 4-5 Star hotel and the rooms are pricey. They do not offer free wi-fi which was hard to believe. I have stayed in 3-star hotels and motels that offer free wi-fi. Also, we had deluxe rooms and a suite which didn't even have a small refridgerator. We had to pay $10.00 extra for a very small fridge that had to be delivered to the suite. Again, I have stayed in Motel 6 where the room had a fridge in it already at no extra charge. You pay a lot to stay at this resort and then they charge you extra for everything. I was not impressed and I will not be in a hurry to return. I have had a much better stay at 3-star hotels in other countries. It appears that a lot of people stay for free at this hotel due to the Casino promotions, etc. Because of this the pool area was not clean, beer cans strewn about and very crowded.
Beautiful enviroment, hotel, surrounding area.
The food is very expensive and not very good. There is very little to offer in outside the hotel for any alternatives, unless you drive back into Santa Fe.
We got a great room with a balcony
The hotel couldn't control this but we had a fire drill at 1AM and were outside in our PJ's for 45 minutes and the pool and spa were overtaken by a group of unsupervised teens making it not very relaxing. We were on a staycation trying to relax in nice surrounding and unfortunately the pool, spa, and fire drill made it less fun. But the property and staff were great.
Nice hotel. Restaurants too expensive.
Too many children unsupervised at pool and hot tub. Kids running in the halls after 10pm.
Did not realize that the hotel was connected to a casino and would be dealing with loud drunk guests at all hours of the night. Also did not know that it was 15 miles from Santa Fe.
The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly.
The shower had absolutely no hot water. The food was horrible.
excellent staff, great views
20 min drive out to resort from Santa Fe
Everything was nice.
We missed the microwave oven and refrigerator.
