Standing more than a century in Washington, D.C., this beautiful hotel is just a 7-minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station. An on-site restaurant with Starbucks coffee is available.
Score from 582 reviews Excellent
In the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., a short distance from monuments, museums and the White House, this historic hotel features luxurious accommodations, along with a first-class, full-service...

Score from 270 reviews Very good
The receptionist made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to help us. The tour bus stopped right by the hotel. The rest of the staff were always ready to help.
Restaurant and room service was friendly and good, but pricey.
Beds uncomfortable, lobby layout difficult to navigate. Bathroom obviously updated but still had peeling wallpaper and sink not thoroughly cleaned. Light bulbs out, bathroom fan didn't work. Overall disappointing. For the Hilton name and the price, I expected much better.
Room size Sports Bar
We loved the buzz of the hotel. Always something going on. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. The beds were the most comfortable I have slept in for a hotel. Great to have a coffee maker in the room. Lovely spacious bedroom.
Just a bit further from White house and Lincoln Memorial than we expected as we walked all the time though we could have used the metro. The whistle blowing for calling taxis meant we could not leave the window open but we had requested a room at the front and could have used air conditioning but prefered not to. Minor things.
Beds, toiletries, coffee
No slippers as in other Hilton hotels, no bathrobes. No fridge in the room
Nice facilities great location
Toilets are little crampy though well maintained & shuttle booked to the airport at the concierge didn't show up had to take a cab
Very friendly, great view from our room, close to Metro, restaurants, and stop for 'Hop on Hop off Bus... Right at Hotel. Would recommend.
Location. Food services. Fast check in/out.
Room carpet. Noisy air conditioning even at low fan setting.
Nice and clean room , friendly staff , beautiful ambiance as you'd expect from Hilton hotel.
No WiFi in room though only for 14$ per 24 hours, disappointing!
Fast check-out! Just to push a button on the phone
Door to toalett impossible to Close. It was stuck all our stay
Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Nice view.
Too far from Metro. Husband cannot walk far. No shuttle. Had to take taxi often. Thought Metro would have been easier to get to or hotel would have shuttle.
Lovely bar, comfortable beds, helpful staff, excellent breakfast.
Poor shower, hard soap provided instead of shower gel, very poor hairdryers in the room, construction taking place at hotel so woken up at 7:30am.
The room was great.
Wi-Fi in room for charge 13.90 USD per night. They have a free WiFi at lobby.
Room was clean and big.
Far from The Mall and we used taxi.
Staff and everything worked well
Long walks to the rooms ie more conveniently located elavators would be welcome.
Terrace at night. Drinks in sports bar were to expensive. Should offer at least brewed coffee for guests
Beds were marginal
Good location to enable us to walk each day to the monuments and the Smithsonian museums. We were lucky with great weather. Staff extremely helpful sending business documents. Also waitstaff were very attentive.
We mentioned in our booking "pay by cash" and "no deposits will be charged". But receptionist made his transaction (price for room + 200 usd insurance + 100 usd deposit) from card without asking us. It's not fair, we think.
We upgraded to the Hospitality floor and because DC can be expensive, we appreciated only having to purchase one meal/day outside of the hotel. There is a public bus stop just a few steps from the hotel. We purchased a Metro Card and learned to navigate the City using the public transport systems (including the underground from Dupont Cr). Overall, if given the opportunity, we would stay there again.
We are avid sports fans and the in-room satellite coverage didn't broadcast all the playoff games we wanted to see. The alternative was to go to the lobby or the sports bar.
Near a very good number of fine restaurantes; large room; tour busses stop on the corner.
Large rooms with comfortable bed (was in king room). A good base for Washington if you are active and enjoy walking.
Unusual that a hotel of this standard doesn't have free wifi in rooms or a mini fridge.
The hotel was beautiful, nice location, comfortable bed and great outdoor area.
Expensive, parking was a nightmare and I used the iron that was in the room and it had something on the bottom of it and ruined my husbands shirt. Booking.com rep told me this was a smoking hotel and when we got there they stated they havent been a smoking hotel for about 4-5 years. I always stay at Hilton's this was my worst experience.
Best location to walk at night. Safe, wonderful area. Loved the location.
Not near a metro, long waking distance to memorials. Didn't like taxi drivers called to hotel. They had none working meters. Liars... Use Urber then after. Worked perfect
