I loved the quirkiness (tons of nautical-theme antiques), popcorn, new release movies to borrow, excellent fresh cookies in the afternoon, stroll to the beach, grind-your-own coffee beans in the morning, and excellent breakfast. Oh, and the guest soaps were great. The owners were wonderful.

My husband thought the room was cramped, and there was no network TV, so he couldn't watch the Golf Channel. (Too bad - HA!) There was a new toilet in our room, but it didn't want to flush. Coffee at breakfast was very weak.

Staff is very welcoming and does a great job of spoiling you. The Inn is wonderfully decorated and lots of fun to explore. We loved our stay and this was a great way to start our vacation. Can't say enough about how great the staff is and how yummy the breakfast is.

The bathroom facilities could be a little more modern, but this would not deter me from staying here again.

The breakfast was great and the decorating of the place is fantastic. It is very interesting to look at all the unique items found all over the Anchor Inn. The bedroom had stars painted on the ceiling. The location is right in the center of all the places to go in Lincoln City. It's a couple of blocks to the beach and we were able to go several times. There was ample parking for the guess but it did fill up.

The shower is a little small for my taste and the bathroom in general is small. It is just one of the things you have to put up with in an older place, on the plus side it had a nice small living room that was separate from the bed room.

We loved the quirkiness of the Inn, the wonderful hospitality of Kip, the owner, the delicious breakfast, the close proximity to the ocean.

The quality of light in the rooms made it difficult to read

Not much. The breakfast was generous. One of us had been ill and on arrival asked the guy on reception for some water - he told us to go to the pub down the road.

Although it is well described on the internet, we were not prepared for all the bric a brac about the place. The facilities were poor. The bathroom could not be described as such. Rules such as removing your shoes at night etc seemed unusual. Bed linen didn't look laundered. So litle room in the place, that by the time two suitcases were in there was nowhere for us to sit.

Much of it is like a museum and you want to walk quietly and not touch anything, but the facilities are amazing. I had a sitting room that was almost a step back in time with a 1940s style overstuffed sofa. Comfortable bed, slept very well and had a delicious breakfast in the morning. Would most definitely enjoy another stay.

We loved the welcoming fresh cupcakes, freshly made popcorn with an urn of warm melted butter on arrival. In our room there was fresh coffee beans to grind which made a beautiful cup of coffee. Our host even brought us half & half to store in our fridge. Much appreciated. The substantial breakfast was a pulled pork enchalladas, fried potatoes, salsa, cantaloupe, asparagus, tea and orange juice! That kept us going for a good chunk of the day! Very interesting place and welcoming staff/owners. Would definitely stay there again. Much nicer than the corporate chain hotels.

    Nothing negative to say!

So cool and funky! Loved the décor and our room was gorgeous, a suite. Very comfortable furniture and bed. Super-delish breakfast included and very sensitive to my food allergies. Short walk to the beach.

The feeling of being at a secret getaway. The great breakfast. Best omelet I have ever had. And I've had many. Staff so over the top to help you with the smallest need. The great comfort and quaint way it is laid out and the beautiful decor all around you.

I love how The Historic Anchor Inn felt like a bed and breakfast (the breakfast part was out of this world!) and was charming. There were one of a kind antiquities everywhere, which made the stay fun and entertaining. I wish we would have had an excuse to stay longer, because I would have loved just to hangout at the Inn, explore all of its nooks and crannies, and chillax in the well laid out rooms. We will be coming back! :)

I liked everything, so there was nothing to dislike.

The guest rooms are large. I liked that it felt like a small 1 bdrm apt. I liked the deocor and that your guest rooms have themes. I liked that you could walk up to the bookcase and pick out a movie to watch in your room. The breakfast the following morning was very good!

To get to the parking lot you have to go back onto main highway and enter into the next driveway. And the parking lot is gravel not paved. We were on motorcycles. Wish there was more seating in the back yard for dining.

This was our first stay at the Anchor Inn and from the time we walked into the lobby we were fascinated by all of the history and deco. The staff were very friendly and professional, we were upgraded to a large suite without asking. The popcorn and fresh baked cookies were available all evening along with free movies. We could not believe the complimentary breakfast nex morning, swedish pancakes (my favorite) and an enchilada dish that was amazing. We were so amazed with our stay that we called our friends and told them when they go to Lincoln City they must stay at the Anchor Inn.

I found the Historic Anchor Inn charming and inviting. However, it is not for everyone. The decor is eclectic and busy. I loved it! The free breakfast is outstanding! A hot, home cooked breakfast, with outstanding food, friendly service, and whimical decor? It was my favorite part of my stay. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it for couples and families with older children.

I knew ahead of time that the Historic Anchor Inn was not on the ocean nor did it have an ocean view. The distance to the public beach access was understated and didn't mention a significant amount of stairs to get to the beach. However, it is an easy, short drive to a public beach access. That was the only thing I didn't like.

This place is a cozy, homey little get away in itself. We felt like we were tansported back in time. Manhattans at the bar in the evening, a fire in the back with other travelers, breakfast in the morning couldn't have been better. We had a blast wandering around the hotel looking at the wonderful collections and the staff made us feel at home. I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be back and I'll be sending all my friends!

Delicious breakfasts! Marvelous, attentive, friendly staff! Such fun to look at all the items collected and displayed in the grounds, cottages, rooms and lodge.

The breakfast starting time might be earlier, for convenience of travelers needing to leave earlier morning hours. The showers are very small! Our bed squeaked so loudly it woke us up whenever we moved. Amount of price increase in last couple of years was quite a surprise.

Rooms were comfortable and each room had it's own theme. Breakfast was great and only a 10 min. walk to the beach. We will be coming back!

Funky place that its like being in an antique shop. There was a wonderful breakfast and snacks beside the fresh popcorn. It's also near things, the walk, the beach and quiet too since it is off the street. Bedroom and living room nicely separate by a tiny bathroom.

Hard to say probably the tiny bathroom but it served its purpose.
