Marvellous period apartment, furnished accordingly. More suited to 2 people sharing but perfectly adequate for the 4 of us as we were staying 2 nights only. Well equipped and friendly
Somewhat noisy but we should have expected that with an apartment above a pub!! Beware- no lifts so caution if you have lots of luggage!
The fornitures were nice
The apartment was very dirty Wi-fi impossible to use Kitchen and toilette not equiped at all Area full of bums and toxic
Staff was helpful, the bar is cool. The room was brick filled and beautiful. Noisy at night, but so were we.
Loved everything. Better than I hoped for.
Staff was awesome. We were married at the Merchant Café, we have stayed there twice. Anything we needed was provided, love that every room is different and unique!!! Will stay there every time I have a need to stay downtown Seattle!!! LOVE IT!!!
Old style apartment with character and convenient for the sports venues.
Location, ample space
Poor security, lots of steps up to carry bags
The apartments are in a historic building very close to Pioneer Square. The location is the best, near to Pioneer Square station on the Link line from the airport, close to island ferries and King St Station for Amtrak. The Underground/Underworld tours are across the road, the Klondike Museum and Waterfall Garden also nearby. It's easy to get anywhere in town. For these reasons, the apartment would be recommended.
Saw no sign of the much mentioned Darcy which is perhaps why our opinions differ from many others. No-one in the bar downstairs seemed to have any local knowledge or interest, and were dismissive about the lack of wifi. In spite of it being advertised, there is no reliable wifi either in the apartment or the bar below. This was really important for booking tours etc as I didn't have access to a cell. The apartment itself is small, which is ok, but there is nowhere to put anything, no wardrobe or cupboard. The few drawers are full of linen. Floor space is limited so open cases on the floor are a nuisance. There are heaps of towels but no kettle, or iron and ironing board, and only one small saucepan and a frying pan. There are no instructions for the washing machine and tumble drier or TV. The bathroom floor hadn't been dusted in a while. The bed-head is next to next door's TV through a thin wall. The fitted sheet is oversized on top of an oversized waterproof mattress protector, but the bed is comfortable. Someone decided to vacuum the stairs and landings at 9:30pm. The wooden floors upstairs creak when anyone moves. If you have heavy cases, be aware it's a very long flight of stairs up to the second floor, and two long flights if your room is at the top. We felt quite safe but some people may be unnerved by the presence of homeless folks in the square opposite. Also, you have to pay in full on the day you book.
Proximity to downtown Size of apartment
No air con so very hot and stuffy. Had overhead fans and portable fans but very hard to cool place down.
Location is great, decor is excellent.
Stairwell smelled of excrement... what's with that? The room also wasn't cleaned when we arrived, much to the staff's surprise. Would have asked for a discount, but they had already charged us full price for the room before we even checked in.
Location was awesome, excellent TV with HD receiver was great. (tons of channels) Lots of character, good amenities.
Pioneer Square is a fun neighborhood with many new, exciting restaurants. The apartment was adorable and spacious. A very charming spot except for...
We had no TP and had to ask twice to get any; service is lazy. We asked at 5 p.m. on the first day for a resupply and did not get any until late the next morning, good thing I travel with pocket tissues. We had clean linens and the carpet was vacuumed but the place had not been properly cleaned in months. There was thick dust under the television, on the base boards, door frames, the ceiling fan, everywhere. The counter tops and furniture were sticky. The bathroom sink and shower and shower were hosting thick mold. "Service" was relegated to the bartender, the only staff person at the location. She was friendly, but was much too busy with the bar and restaurant to care about us.
Darcy, the manager, is fabulous. She went out of her way the make our staff perfect. The Bar staff was just as amazing. I would truly recommend this facility also because of the location.
The people were friendly and helpfull. The bar/restaurant downstairs equally so with a good menu.
Right in the city center. Lots of Space in Apartment. Good restaurant. Kitchen with fridge, stove and all you need foor cooking the wonderful seafood purchases you can make from nearby Pike Place Market. We have never met a more friendly and helpful staff anywhere. Thank you Darce, we'll be back
Location . washing machine and drier. Friendly staff
A bit noisy and not enough pots and pans. Also not much storage as even the drawers were full of general stuff
They were very helpful with a cancelation.
amazing location with a kitchen and a fair price.
The location was great for us as we were coming off the ferry from Victoria and being at pioneer square suited us as we had limited time
WOW oh WOW what a perfect place to stay in Seattle. Beautiful, comfortable, centrally located. authentic Pioneer Square apartment. Will be telling all my friends,
great staff, gave lots of good advice for food and getting around good atmosphere, perfect for a sounders game very friendly
there was nothing that i did not like and we will go back next spring
Darcy was wonderful! She went out of her way to ensure our stay was good. The location and historical aspect was great, and the staff very helpful.
Very cool atmosphere above a pub, but without the usual noise associated with an inner city pub. walking distance to everything in Seattle. Great hosts, good food in hotel.
Staff was extremely friendly and location was great! Probably could have been a bit more tidy but not a big issue. Had no problems with noise.
The bar is the staff, and they were very friendly.
The hotel room was shabby, but not dirty, not exactly clean either. It had a w/d which was nice and a kitchen which was essential for me. The bed was WAY OLD! The worst thing, by far, was the neighborhood. It felt very unsafe and I was very nervous about leaving my things in the room.
being in the haunted area of seattle and also getting to stay in a haunted building rocked. staff was awesome and Darcy was a great host.
night club next door, but wasn't too big of a problem,
