Bed Bugs in room647!
The price was the main reason I stayed here. The rooms were old. The carpet was stained. I wasn't aware that they hold a $100 deposit...so I was out of $100 to spend
Recently renovated room is clean and functional. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable - wasnt horrid, but not what I'd consider a "hotel quality" bed.
We we placed on the ocean-side wing of the building (far from ocean) that is literally 10' from an active bar/night club next door on the same level (2nd floor). I was too tired to be bothered, but the boom-boom-boom-boom of the loud club music played until after 2am... for some this would be frustrating. Also, the front desk clerk (nice asian woman) was polite, but really REALLY slow.
Staff is very impolite Mean not professional Don't care for customer
Staff service not professional Some need to retraining Be more polite Many are low character low class Not nice to customer don't care
Stayed in Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort and Marriot Courtyard and have to say that Hokele Suites came out best!!!! Best value for money. Loved it! Will recommend to friends.
Kitchen was a plus..was able to cook daily. Next trip girlfriend will come so meals will be cooked when I get off from work .
The fact that Parking was a first come first serve. I wasn't too thrilled about walking for several blocks.
The Staff were great. We arrived after a long and tiring flight and a stressful drive, as David, The Driver, had not driven in the USA, on the right-hand side of the road before. It was very hot, we were exhausted, it was nice to be able to rest in air-conditioned comfort after our long trip. The kids were happy to have a two-bedroom unit with a little sitting area to stretch out. We all came together for a night-cap before going to bed. The Hotel was so close to the Restaurants and shops, a short walk and you are right amongst it all.
Low price, decent location, convenient access to a convenience store
Pretty terrible customer service with apathetic staff-problems were responded to with excuses and deflections, not resolutions; poor condition of room with peeling paint, chipped tile, and oddly placed appliances (cabinet door blocked by fridge door, toilet too close to door and t/p holder); non-functioning A/C; dripping shower faucet; sewer smell emanating from bathroom; lack of parking and spots are only assigned on arbitrary "first come first served" system based on when other guests check out. NOT RECOMMENDED
Convenient location. Daytime reception staff very helpful.
Hotel needs a revamp of rooms. Kitchen and bathroom very old.
convenient location and affordable price.
Need to inform in advance that parking lot is limited and you may need park other pay-parking building.
Location close to everything - food, beach, entertainment and shopping
Virtually all the facilities - suites are obviously very old and not like the promo pictures - primitive bathroom with no window or extraction fan or space to put any clothes/bathroom gear anywhere - the shower was very claustrophobic, old and water flow inconsistent between hot and cold; kitchen facilities virtually non existent and needed to ask for more plates, cups, cutlery, glasses etc etc and no space to move - no iron or ironing board; very noisy through the night even though on the 9th floor; weren't fully aware that internet wifi was available in the lobby and was an expensive option to have in the room; television reception poor; air conditioning loud and clunky (3 separate units in the 3 room apartment we had); pool towels worn; having to pay $US10 a day for a convenience fee ie for one free DVD a day; coffee/cold water at the poolside (we don't drink coffee) and wifi but not being told about the wifi by staff - we were there for 7 nights as 3 adults - apartment was very small for that amount of time for 3 people - not spacious as described in the promo; no coffee/tea sugar milk provided as in all other hotels we have ever been in in our 40 years of travel... no value for money we paid and it was not a cheap place either but unfortunately we needed the 2 bedroom unit and there are not too many of them available on the strip; loud club next door with brawling occurring in the middle of the night on several occasions...
I liked that we had alot of room a kitchen an balconies with beautiful views of the city life. It was close walking distance to all the shopping an culture. An city life.
Well I booked it because I thought my villa at turtle bay had been canceled. An then I pannicked an booked hokele well when we explained we didnt want to stay the whole time we ended up paying for two places an only me an my daughter so I wasted alot of money due to being at turtle bay an only really being at hokele two nights we got in a day late an I paid for many nights with no one ther so . that was sad. But if I would have had more family we would have been setting pretty.
Very near to public transportation, beaches, shopping. Front desk employee Michael was a daily show! Hysterical!
Pool right in lobby. First room had an air conditioning problem, which resulted in a wet rug. They were totally booked so I had to stay overnight in the room. They more than made up with a great upgrade the following day.
Staff was great!
The check in staff Chris
Had reserved a studio with 2 beds a while back but upon check in was advised that none were available, the only option was to upgrade to a one bed apptt (newly renovated) for additional charges. The appartment available was over a flight of stairs that we had to carry our luggage with no elevator, the room overlooked a very noisy bar that had late night revellers, the apptt had a very bad smell throughout, no ac in the bedroom only a fan. We also did not have parking available in the hotel, the only option was overnight parking for $30 at the overflow recommended by the hotel.we ended up parking on the street two blocks before the hotel and walked.
The location was great.
Coffee was only on welcome and then needed to pay for it. It's only coffee!
Walking distance to all local restaurants, shopping and Waikiki beach walk.
The restaurant in the hotel has the same menu daily..Its smells..
Parking was full the whole time I stayed here. It was not very satisfying.
All the staff were lovely, rooms were cleaned very well daily, TV had good option of channels.
Accommodation very basic for price and in desperate need of updating, air con unit so loud it was difficult to sleep at night, balcony & 'view' embarrassing (ours looked right out onto someone else's - no privacy), restaurant was serving food that looked reheated and very cheap (we couldn't bare to eat there), the pool is very small and doesn't get much sun - the images on the website made it look far better, and the key to our door worked one in ten attempts.
Location was very suitable for going to the beach and shopping malls...
The room assigned to us was very small and not good value for the money. the kitchenette too tiny and dated, the dishes and cutlery very sparse...
