Wi-Fi Access to Metro Friendly staff Breakfast Pool
We booked last minute, but the check-in desk was open until 11 p.m. That was great. The room was clean and the pillows were so comfortable. It was walking distance to a great Movie Theater and the Metro. We added $10 and had a great breakfast of bacon and eggs in the morning. It was nice.
I was sad to hear that this location may be torn down at the end of the summer. What a shame.
That smokers were on the same floor as non-smokers and the smell lingered under the door and into our room. The next 2 nights I put a towel at the bottom of the door to keep it out of my room.
The room location and setup. Very noisy and damp. Right above the utilities and a/c conduits. The smoke detector was defective and making high pitch beeps through out the night. Thank God I had to move out the next morning to another hotel.
We were given room with two baths and good space for young kids to play around
Location Breakfast and unfriendly staff Old furniture and carpets
- breakfast - Staff
- no AC for two nights--hottest two days in DC to date
I did notice that the comfort of the mattresses and the sheets on the bed related a good night sleep.
I heard that the hotel was due to be tore down in the future so money for renovations was not seen at work. The actual location of the hotel was in the cloverleaf off the freeway, with local amenities not within walking distance, save for a few eateries and the AMC theaters.
Location and value of money
Breakfast is poor and selection of food is limited.
It was within about a block of the metro
The bathrooms are extremely small. The air conditioning didn't work right and the last 2 days of our trip, our room was very warm.
Bathrooms are very small
It is a large concrete soulless building surrounded by highways.....we stayed there for convenience rather than quality. It is what it is.....very convenient.
The entry/exit road to the whole complex is obviously a late addition to the large crossroads at one corner of the site. This rendered entry and particularly exit awkward at a set of not very well sited traffic lights.
Nice room, good bar with great food
It's a odd location and tough to get to
clean at all.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious and extremely inexpensive and nice proportions. Close to Metro. Room was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.
We liked everything.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Went out of their way to make sure our questions were answered. Especially regarding the Metro. We were given directions to the Metro office at the King St. Sta. so that we could get senior passes. We were good to go! The dining room staff seemed happy - and as a retired HR person that is a good sign.
Bathroom was on the small side.
The staff was extremely friendly especially the staff at breakfast.
The only negative was a staff memeber when we checked in called us a lair about smoking, didn't like that otherwise great stay.
The staff went out of their way to assist in any matter. Offered to drive us to the down town Alexandria to get metro tickets, offered to take us into Alexandria for dinner and pick us up. Great location one block to Metro for trip into Washington D.C. with option of two lines trip was 25 minutes. Old Alexandria is a nice side trip from Washington with interesting places to see. Free trolley drives up and down a main street. Nice breakfast hot which you can buy into at 10.00 a person when booking, it is worth it, great variety or you can get something from the menu. Beds were very comfortable bathrooms small but updated. They did have a pool which we did not use. Had a very nice small bar. I think it was a good plus value for the money.
Pillows were too hard---
The staff was exceptional, very accommodating, helpful and polite.
The hotel décor was a bit dated, but for the price, location, and amenities for the children, décor did not matter.
Metro (Yellow Line) is right across from Holiday Inn. Kids eat free. Starbucks and Ruby Tuesday are close by if you want a change from their Restaurant.
very friendly staff. close to a metro that brought us directly in down town DC.. Pool for my son!
pricey. taxes was added per night stayed. not sure why it was calculated that way but the bill got pretty high
It was our first time staying at the hotel, we were very pleased. The hotel was still new and clean. The room was adequate for 2 adults and 2 small children. The water pressure was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The staffs were friendly. The breakfast was good, no complaint. The location was great, 2 mins walking to train station. It was near restaurants, coffee shop and movie theatre. By far we really enjoyed staying there and would recommend to anyone.
Beautiful decor....friendly breakfast staff.. Location to metro and additional food and movies was great
Absolutely clean, no bugs.
Great place, very close to the metro station
