Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Alexandria Historic District    

The bathtub drain was fixed the next day after we told the desk about it. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Our room was dissappointing, Other Holiday Inn Hotel rooms offered a small refrigerator and a coffee machine. There was none here. Our bathtub drain did not drain properly our first night and as we showered, the water continued to collect in the tub. The bathroom faucet coninuously dripped, which can be costly for the hotel. The carpeting was spotted and did not appear clean. The windows were so dirty we could barely see outside. A small amenities bag was given to us as Priority Club members, but only for 1 person. Other hotels included 2 water botles and what ever else was in the bag was for 2 people. Also dissappointed that there was no complimentary breakfast bar as in all the other Holiday Inns we have stayed at.We did like the $10 discount on parking each day for being a priority member. Thanks

The room was very large and I was able to spread out a lot of work. Gwen has so helpful, just seeing me struggle in the hallway with my luggage (I was coming up from the garage) she insisted on helping me. Moe was a great help with directions and did his job very well.

Staff didn't seem very familiar with area for directions, attractions or distances to and from.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean everyday.

The hotel is tired. The rooms need updating. The curtains are dingy and 1 was missing from my room, the rugs have stains and thread pulls, leaky faucets, and the pool could use a paint job, the walls look dirty.

excessive cost of parking garage, especially when there is free street parking next to hotel. wireless internet access was awful. walls are too thin and no where near enough sound proofing, we could hear our neighbors entire conversations.

I enjoyed my stay in that hotel.

I liked the amenities and proximity to Old Town Alexandria. The hotel bar was great and relaxing.

I would have liked a faster wireless internet connection. It was very slow and close to dial-up speed.

The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and the location was great for us because we didn't mind walking from the metro. The rates were great and the rooms comfortable and clean. It had everything we wanted but the staff were PARTICULARLY noteworthy in a positive sense!

Taking the shuttle from the airport would have become a nuisance if we'd continued to depend on it, but walking from the metro for us was no problem. It was great having the shuttle, especially when going to and from the airport for traveling.

The cleaniliness of the hotel and the staff was so helpful in directing us to local restaurants with a gluten free menu for my daughter.

Location, facilities and staff

The staff was great.

No parking. Parking lot was closed. I had to park several blocks away from hotel. Hotel was under construction.

The rooms were way bigger than I anticipated! The bed was comfy, there was ample seating in the room & a desk for me to do my work.

Didn't like that the rooms didn't have refrigerators or microwaves. The bathroom was a little small as well. Also, the parking garage & fitness center was out of service while we were there. So, we couldn't utilize either & we had to either park at the crown plaza hotel & take their shuttle back to our hotel or find street parking.

Good location about 10 to 15 minute walk from metro to Washington DC. In nice part of Alexandria, handy supermarket right opposite, restaurants close by, and a 15 minute walk to King Street (the main street in Alexandria). Hotel itself had great rooms - big with amazingly comfortable beds, and was immaculately clean. Staff were helpful and shuttle to Reagon airport was useful both for the airport and the metro.

Breakfast was average quality and over-priced. And they have no idea how to make a cup of tea (it tasted of coffee for a start!). Would avoid and just head out for breakfast.

Breakfast way, way too expensive for what you got on buffet. Places like Microtel and Comfort Inn have a better breakfast--and it's free!

Perfect location for a visit to washington

Easy access. Allowed early occupancy. Put us in adjoining rooms. Extremely accomodating

The location is very convenient for those traveling to Alexandria area and the dca airport. The hotel is a good value for the area. The beds are comfortable.

The hotel is pretty dated. The self parking is in a very tight garage and costs $20.00 per night. Breakfast on Sat isn't available until 7 am, so if you have an early flight, don't count on it. The staff is borderline acceptable.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Restaurant was convient and very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location with shuttle to metro was great.
