Not far from Old Town and was a great place to stay while visiting DC. Gregory, the lifeguard on duty, was really attentive and made sure everyone was relaxed poolside.
The breakfast staff was lacking. Not enough people for weekend service. Stayed five days and on one of the mornings we waited 20 minutes before we were given menus. Food was ok, basic breakfast selection. No buffet, menu orders only.
The staff was friendly and professional
I had to come to the front desk 3 times, check out a day early because of the conditions.
Location EXCELLENT! across from grocery story, walking distance to old town and often available parking on the streets.
coffee shop in hotel too high and only one size styrofoam cup. Pub chips AWFUL! don't get them for but steak very good. garage door closes late in evenings without notice. Automatic handicap doors broken.
A very nice hotel for a good price. Also the maintenance department is excellent. I had a very nice staff member immediately help me retrieve my keys that I accidentally locked in my car. Thank you!!
The staff was very uninformed about local restaurants and transportation. They also couldn't accommodate making change for a $20 bill which I thought was odd and inconvenient.
comfortable bed and chair, nice view of courtyard and pool
misleading advertising of location being in historic district, no freezer, no coffee in lobby, had to wait until late afternoon for room to be made up, and then only after calling front desk
We liked the facility, the staff, and the beds were very comfortable.
Having to pay an extra $20 per night for parking was not appreciated, and not having a breakfast option in a hotel this night was surprising, though I knew that before I booked.
Everything was clean, well presented, and comfortable. Bed was especially comfortable and clean.
Staff was great. Short walk to King Street or take the hotel shuttle.
Facility is getting a bit old. Shuttle hours not convenient.
Location was great, rooms were nice and everyone was really helpful.
Wifi did not work in room. Had to go to lobby or sit in certain areas of hall. No complimentary breakfast. $12.95 per adult for same breakfast others offer for free. Parking pass never worked.
Clean large bedroom, plenty of room for a porta-crib, reasonable walk to King Street...ate a nice dinner there and walked along the Potomac back to the hotel.
The air conditioner in the room was a little noisy, I wished the pool was open later and earlier in the morning, $20 for parking knocks down the cheapness, the staff isn't like dying to help you with anything.
Location, Friendliness of Staff
Room had no blackout curtains so had trouble sleeping.
The hotel looked very classy. My kids were stunned when we checked in. I told them we were staying somewhere cheap and they were shocked that we were at such a nice hotel.
The maintenance man banging on our door at 8 am and the parking garage in a dark, scary and smelly basement
1. the convenience of having a supermarket just across the street
1. The not so friendly front desk staff (some of them) 2. The unsympathetic restaurant staff who demanded 3.50 USD for a cup of hot water. 3. The stank of stale pet urine in the room
The location was awesome. We could walk to most places and driving to other locations was only minutes away. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We had a room on the 3rd floor at the very end of the hall. Long walk to elevator but was worth it.
location, shuttle bus to both King Street and to the Airport, comfortable, Giant Food right across the way
typical Holiday Inn, reliable but not special...but very nice nonetheless
Couldn't find my reservation Maid opened my door at 8:00 and didn't apologize when I saw her in the hall. Called down to the desk to complain and they asked me if I had put my door placard on...really? Terrace closed until 9:00am Pool closed until 11:00am
This hotel was wonderfully quiet , my room faced the back parking lot and there was no street noise, and no hallway noise either. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, staff friendly and helpful, my room had its own thermastat. The pool was nice too.
The windows had 2 layers of curtains, the sheer ones closed all the way, but the thick ones that actually block out light could not be fully closed.
The room, beds and bath were good, as was the location and price.
The guy at the front desk was not very friendly or helpful.
Location was decent. Close to Old town and DC.
The staff was terrible. Very broken English. Trying to find someone to help was a nightmare. Parking garage key never worked and they woudlnt fix it after repeatedly trying to explain the problem. I will not stay here again no matter how good the location is. The staff ruined it for our family
The closeness to all attractions
Room 464 had no wifi. Rest of hotel did. Front desk said they didn't know why
Rooms were spacious.
The $20.00 per night parking is TOO expensive.
Location, location, location
Bar not open long enough.
Location was excellent.
I thought the room was furnished by Walmart - very sterile. The café service in the lobby was slow and the food terrible.
Location, restaurant, comfort, airport shuttle
We have a brand new vehicle...onstreet parking seemed a risk when there was an underground garage for hotel guests...oh, but that was $20 per night! A bit of a surprise, and not in a good way. We decided to pay...the garage ceiling was extremely low for our vehicle and we pulled in with fingers crossed. We did not use the vehicle during our stay, but on the day we had to leave, I actually needed to get out of the car and direct my husband out of the parking space and up the incline making sure the pipes or ceiling didn't do damage to the roof!
I like the convientness of the National Harbor from my hotel also the cleanliness of the room.
The tub faucet was unable to turn off completely. It had a steady leak from check in to check out.
