Within walking distance to the historic center. A grocery store located across the street. Free on street parking between 6pm - 9am. Very helpful/friendly staff.
My heater kept breaking down due to the faulty heater in the next door kept blowing up the common circuit breaker. Was offered another room but heaters in the other rooms were quite noisy. Unfortunately due to some kind of school trip a lot of kids stayed on my floor. You can imagine the noise!
The proximity to Old Towne, the wonderful selection of shopping and restaurants close by. The shuttle service from the hotel to Old Towne was very convenient and right on time for pick up and drop off.
The bed linens and towels were very stiff and scratchy. Not really comfortable to sleep on or dry off with.
Pristine room, timely shuttle
Inconvenient location. 9 blocks north of King street, hard to find location, irregular cafe hours, no restaurant for such a large place
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very close to Alexandria's Historic district
We stayed here for three nights. On the second day we left one of our metro cards on the table in the room. The card had a considerable cash balance, which was clearly written on it. On our last morning at the hotel we discovered that the card had disappeared after the previous day's room cleaning/ service. We described the situation to the hotel's manager, however the card was never found...
free shuttle to old town and the airport. Had a lovely room that overlooked the patio, Staff was cordial and helpful and place was spotless.
in room toiletries could be upgraded.
Size of the rooms were generous and location to Old Town
Parking fee and several times could not get in our out. I ended up parking most of the time in the street, that 3 hour time limit.
Staff was pleasent. Bikes are great to have access to.
Beds need updating. Get feather pillows.
ıce machine made lots of noise.you have to choose opposite side rooms.
Not far from Old Town and was a great place to stay while visiting DC. Gregory, the lifeguard on duty, was really attentive and made sure everyone was relaxed poolside.
The breakfast staff was lacking. Not enough people for weekend service. Stayed five days and on one of the mornings we waited 20 minutes before we were given menus. Food was ok, basic breakfast selection. No buffet, menu orders only.
The staff was friendly and professional
I had to come to the front desk 3 times, check out a day early because of the conditions.
Location EXCELLENT! across from grocery story, walking distance to old town and often available parking on the streets.
coffee shop in hotel too high and only one size styrofoam cup. Pub chips AWFUL! don't get them for but steak very good. garage door closes late in evenings without notice. Automatic handicap doors broken.
Entire staff - seems obvious value is placed on being friendly & helpful; clean room, pool
I tore my coffee pouch while opening bag, called office to ask for another, never got it. Parking "key" never worked right.
Location. Grocery store across street. Refrigerator in room. Free Wi-Fi. Extra charge fro taxes and another $1 per day for something (added approximately $41.00 per room).
Hot tub seen; not operating. No explanation. Pool difficult to enter & exit. Had stairs inserted in side of in-pool wall. Food for breakfast HORRIBLE.
A very nice hotel for a good price. Also the maintenance department is excellent. I had a very nice staff member immediately help me retrieve my keys that I accidentally locked in my car. Thank you!!
The staff was very uninformed about local restaurants and transportation. They also couldn't accommodate making change for a $20 bill which I thought was odd and inconvenient.
comfortable bed and chair, nice view of courtyard and pool
misleading advertising of location being in historic district, no freezer, no coffee in lobby, had to wait until late afternoon for room to be made up, and then only after calling front desk
We liked the facility, the staff, and the beds were very comfortable.
Having to pay an extra $20 per night for parking was not appreciated, and not having a breakfast option in a hotel this night was surprising, though I knew that before I booked.
Everything was clean, well presented, and comfortable. Bed was especially comfortable and clean.
Staff was great. Short walk to King Street or take the hotel shuttle.
Facility is getting a bit old. Shuttle hours not convenient.
Location was great, rooms were nice and everyone was really helpful.
Wifi did not work in room. Had to go to lobby or sit in certain areas of hall. No complimentary breakfast. $12.95 per adult for same breakfast others offer for free. Parking pass never worked.
Clean large bedroom, plenty of room for a porta-crib, reasonable walk to King Street...ate a nice dinner there and walked along the Potomac back to the hotel.
The air conditioner in the room was a little noisy, I wished the pool was open later and earlier in the morning, $20 for parking knocks down the cheapness, the staff isn't like dying to help you with anything.
Location, Friendliness of Staff
Room had no blackout curtains so had trouble sleeping.
The hotel looked very classy. My kids were stunned when we checked in. I told them we were staying somewhere cheap and they were shocked that we were at such a nice hotel.
The maintenance man banging on our door at 8 am and the parking garage in a dark, scary and smelly basement
1. the convenience of having a supermarket just across the street
1. The not so friendly front desk staff (some of them) 2. The unsympathetic restaurant staff who demanded 3.50 USD for a cup of hot water. 3. The stank of stale pet urine in the room
