Great for event at Georgia Dome! Everything was very nice. Things are all convenient to use in lobby. Restaurant buffet had good food.
Perfect location if seeing a show at the Tabernacle.
The location was great given it's proximity to The Tabernacle
After a two night stay, I left the hotel with multiple bites on my body from bedbugs.
This was the best hotel experience that we have ever had, due mostly to the amazing hospitality displayed by every member of the staff with whom we had contact.
Good location, nearly to CNN center, World of Coke Cola, Georgia Aquarium and Olympic Park. Clean room with microwave oven and refrigerator. Amanda is very helpful. Very nice stay.
The air conditioner is too noisy.
Location was great for what I was there for, the Ga Dome.We were just a few blocks away.
I wasn't happy with my final bill, for 2 nights it cost me 374.08.$20.00 per night Valet = $40.00, then they also add 11.52 per night Occupancy Tax= $23.04 and $11.52 per night state tax 8%( this charge I understand) = another $23.04.Watch the rates before you reserve room , ours was not $144.00 per night when I booked. Other than that it was a good place to stay.
The valet service was nice. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Three of the four lamps in the room did not work. One of those three worked for about 10 minutes and then went out. The bathroom did not have towel racks or a fan. Towels were on a shelf underneath the sink.
we arrived stressed from unfamiliar Atlanta traffic. Cynthia is her name I believe. She could tell we were stresses. Her first words were "I am going to make you happy" and it got even better. She made us feel so welcomed to Atlanta the chamber of commerce should give her serious acknowledgement. The rest of the staff were very nice also
we could not find a privacy sign in the room. Of course the housekeer found one for us.
The hotel staff were as nice as could be. One member went and got me a sweet tea because my throat hurt so bad. The convenience of being near the concert we were going to was great. We walked right to it from the hotel while traffic just stood still and horns blowing everywhere.
The room itself. We requested 2 double beds non smoking for an enormous room rate and received one bed smoking. (we had 3 people) We couldn't breath and actually wound up going to the doctor twice after our stay. My husband had to sleep in a fold out chair. The AC would not stay on which not only made it hot but made the smoking room a nightmare.
Located close to the venue I was visiting... Rooms were nice...Staff were great.... The breakfast buffet was very good....
Cable TV wasn't working... Alot of noise due to the concert downtown.... Only two packets of caffine coffee for 3 persons....
Location was great and easily accessible to all the family friendly venues in and around Centennial Park...the Aquarium, World of Coke, College Football Hall of Fame, etc. All within a short walking distance and we did so with a 3 year old (no stroller).
The main issue we had was our check in experience. Without a doubt, the worst I have ever encountered at a hotel. We waited in very long line for an hour and a half trying to check in (with an exhausted and fussy toddler=no fun). There were at least 30-50 other very frustrated and upset guests also trying to check in. A line stretched from the front desk all the way out the main door and beyond. Apparently, they had sold out all their rooms the night before for a concert at Phillips Arena (few blocks over) and could not facilitate new guests trying to check in. Rooms were not ready or cleaned in time and this was HOURS past when everyone was supposed to be able to check in. There were only 2 women working the front desk, who made no attempt to communicate with any of the guests what the problem was and why in the world the check in process was so disorganized and extremely slow. No announcement was made nor any apologies given for the ridiculous wait time. Very poor customer service in my opinion. If you are going to run a hotel in downtown Atlanta where there are constantly tons of people flooding in for various events/venues, a MUCH better system needs to be in place to handle this type of situation. This can't be the 1st time this hotel has sold out for a concert close by nor will it be the last. Get it together Holiday Inn! You're location is great. The other aspects of the hotel should follow suit! There were also no blankets provided in the room. All we had was a sheet on our bed and we froze all night long. No blankets anywhere to be found. Assuming this may have been part of the over booking the night before and they didn't have time to wash them. Also an issue that should not affect a guest for the following night.
The convenience was very nice. Most locations in downtown are easily within walking distance.
The hotel only had sheets on the bed and no other source of blankets in the room. The bed and pillows could be more comfortable. The hotel was located next to the park which is very noisy especially early in the morning. There was a fundraiser walk with intercoms which prevented sleeping in. The solid blind doesn't actually block out light either. The staff was very short with check-in.
The location was good
Check in was 3:00pm and we didn't get our room till 4:30pm. One of the elevators was broken upon arrival. The tv wouldn't come on and a staff had to come and found it unplugged. The ice machine on the 7th floor was broken. There was no shower curtain in the room.
When we arrived for check in the lobby was full of irate guests who had been waiting for hours to get a room. We waited an hour and a half and we treated so rudely by the clerk that I called the main office of Holiday Inn. It was a mad house.
Close to lots if things in the area- helpful staff when asking directions and suggestions
Friendliness off the staff in the bar/ resturaunt
Having to wait 45 min to check in with a line out the door. Groups of people in line no staff to.move them out of the way and request one person stand in line. The rudeness of someone who came to our room with a noise complaint telling us we were about to be vacated after we juat got back from a concert.
Our check in clerk Casey - awesome!!
I paid $400+ for a room with dog poop. The bathroom was nasty. I will never stay again.
Good place to stay if you want to be between town, the park and the arenas.
All staff ( except front desk ) were wonderful. The gentleman at front desk didn't know anything about anything. Very clean.
Location, small rooms, electrical problems which kept ice machines on several floors from working and when we turned on desk light it exploded. Something very wrong with electric! Had to call for towels, wash cloths and coffee each evening. Just not a good hotel
It is in a good location and the staff were very friendly. Also very quiet which is always nice. The people in the room next to me were evidently partying all night, but I didn't hear them at all so great walls!
If someone comes to the hotel to meet me or deliver me something, the front desk should send them up. Especially when they personally speak to them and I ok it. Also, the website said there was free breakfast. They did not have free breakfast. It was an ok hotel, just too expensive for the small room, no free breakfast, or the refusal of the staff to let people come up after I add them to the approved list. If I tell you the pizza guy can come up to my room to give me my pizza, you don't need me to come down to the lobby to retrieve said pizza from the delivery guy in your presence. That is just an idiotic policy. I also saw a woman that was waiting for her room to be ready that the staff refused to let up to see her friend who was also in the hotel after all approvals had been made. It seems like a very counterintuitive policy.
People were very kind and willing to help me when I needed it.
The pillows at the hotel are not comfortable at all. Some staff when I called they were in a rush to cut the conversation, like they weren't paying attention about my request on the phone.
Although the room was small, it was cozy and clean. Shower worked great (no temperature or flow problems). Had a refrigerator and microwave - didn't use the microwave, but having the refrigerator was great. No long waits for the elevators.
The room was small and the layout didn't make any sense. Although I was on the ninth floor, there was a street sweeper that sounded like it was right outside the window. Bathroom counter was small.
Staff were very friendly through the stay, and the breakfast buffet was quite good. Really, the staff were very friendly and kind and were the best part of the stay.
They were very disorganized during checkin which took too long. I felt like I paid way too much when I reserved my room though I did reserve it only three months out for a very busy weekend. The pool had some grime that really should have been cleaned.
location, helpfulness of staff and clean room.
