The restaurant and clean room.
Small bathroom and bed was hard. The room is small. It's not worth 194.00 at all. I felt like I was staying in Motel 6.
Staff very friendly. Also many nice things like complimentary shuttle to airport, free parking, free Wi-Fi.
The room was cold, not up to the January weather.
I enjoyed my stay. The staff was great. The breakfast was delicious!!
The rooms are really small. I did not like that the bathroom light does not have it's own switch.
The view, the location, the shuttle and politness of staf
The noise of AC
The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The heating /ac system was old and mostly keep things either too hot or too cold. The window was useless since it faced the window of the other tower with no there view and no privacy. The radio was of very poor quality.
Staff friendly, helpful and responsive
First morning breakfast buffet cold and unappetising. Had choice from menus second day which was a vast improvement. Last day chef cooked eggs to demand which improved buffet experience. No hot water for showers on second morning of stay
Good location to city Onsite bar & restaurant
This is my second stay at this hotel which is perfectly located just 10 minute walk from down town Austin. It may not be flash looking but it is clean with friendly staff.I only had the breakfast which was an excellent value buffet and the kids eat free. The beds were clean and comfy . It also has a small cosy bar which opens late.Never had any issues and I will happily stay there next year.
Nothing major but perhaps a lick of paint and some new carpets in the corridors.
Great friendly staff working hard to make up for their old hotel.
Needs a refurb... In poor shape. Poor value for money.
Very loud, directly at Highway 35, Hotel has seen better times, price-to-performance ratio simply not right, way too expensive.
It have avan for transport
Attitude and behaviour of the staff
Eveything was good except for old furnature n carpets which make the hotel looks older .it will be great if they have a breakfast different every other day . I true appriciate the help n co opeartion n courtesy of help desk ladies : Shea Alia Amanda Jahki And shettel driver james Thanks alot
Old furnature n carpet really need to be changed
A bit old style
The staff at the Holiday Inn is very helpful, friendly and professional. They offer a shuttle service to & from the airport. My room was neat and clean and I had a good night sleep. I recommend anyone stay at the Holiday Inn Austin Town Lake.
The location right on Town Lake and close to the activities downtown is amazing! The breakfast was great as well, but although the room was for four people they would only give us meal tickets for two people (which didn't make sense even after we talked to two different people about it).
We got woken up in the middle of the night to REALLY rowdy people in the hallway. I also don't understand why they don't have a hot tub? They do have a pool (which was really cold) and it was in a great location, but a hot tub would be totally icing on the cake!
Really needs a renovation. Extremely poor value for rates charged. Never again.
Great location, comfy beds, and quiet atmosphere considering it was a weekend downtown.
I waited 5 to 10 minutes in an empty lobby for staff to stop personal conversations and acknowledge me. When i arrived in my room, the heat was blasting (its summer in austin). Im just glad i didn't have to go to bed right away.
The location was perfect for getting around Austin and going to the airport. The staff was courteous and helpful. Free parking.
I agree with other travelers that the hotel needs some serious renovating
We found a side street that they converted all the houses into little bars. It was pretty cool walk from one place to another. Had outdoor sitting areas, it was really nice.
I wish the pool stayed open later. You would think being an adult you could swim later than 9:00 PM
Location on lake. Staff was great. Delayed a day and staff was very helpful with changing reservations. Bar is small but service is great.
Name says Town Lake and it's not really "downtown" but it is close. Just a long walk to 2nd Street.
Loved everything except the swimming pool. Great view
We don't own a pool. The Pool that a hotel has should be the focal point of all visitors. Why hotels do not see this is beyond me. A supreme pool would guarantee visitors year round. Hear me loud on this. Your pool was not deep or big. My daughter and myself chose to not even use it.
With Town Lake right out the back door, it's a lovely setting. Very convenient to downtown, the Capitol building, 6th street etc. It was really great being able to use the shuttle service to get back and forth. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful. Rachel, the Manager was really great helping us to plan our shrt trips around town. We really enjoyed our stay.
The restaurant is overpriced and more like bar food not really a family style restaurant. Food was good though.
Everything. Staff and facilities were excellent.
