Score from 1564 reviews Excellent
Although the accommodation was quite some way from down-town, the facilities were excellent and hotel provided free transport down-town. good value.
morning coffee was late
rooms are very clean and large. Quiet, so you can have a good sleep.
Location is poor, feeling un-safety nearby.
The pool was awesome, and within the pool area there is ping pong, foosball bumper pool, a small basketball court (just a free-throw area) and even a small rock climbing wall.
The wifi wasn't very fast and difficult to connect to.
The activity center was great for our grandson. We came down for Legoland, but I think he enjoyed your pool area even more. The lifeguard was great and very helpful.
The internet was very slow.
Too noisy, close to intersection, cooling system like thunder
Beds and pillows were excellent.
Air condition was too noisy.
Comfortable, shuttle service very convenient, breakfast buffet great, clean hotel, beds are very comfortable. The manager took good care of us on wednesday night when the shuttle was late and provided a taxi for us. Walking distance (15min) to Union square fine restaurants.
Air conditioning not calibrated (too hot or too cold) . Staff a little cold but efficient at the front desk.
Cost. Access to 'T'. Friendly staff. Pool.
Very nice place, friendly and helpful staff, close to city. PLUS - great free shuttle bus service - they even picked us up in the city when we were tired of walking! And great rec room for the kids - couldn't get them out of the pool! We'd stay here again.
A little bit out of the city, but close enough to get public transport - But for the price, it was perfect.
Business computers worked very well
pool was excellent
elevator was loud
Room type and pool area
Room Restaurant staff
Position Part of reception desk staff not very customer oriented
The room is big and comfortable
The towels in the bathroom are not soft at all! It's time to replace them.
Staff under trained , poor hospitality , not welcoming servicing, and poor breakfast options ,
Helpful and friendly staff.
Difficulties in access Internet in a room
staff ranged from polite and competent to rude and ill-informed
The complimentary wifi is absolutely hands down a nightmare. I know this seems unfair given that it's complimentary, but in 2014 free wifi at an hotel is a bare minimum for me to even consider it. I spent a week frustrated with interrupted and impossibly bad video calls with my kids back home, not to mention the frustration it is to actually depend on proper internet connection to work and it constantly being unavailable. The location is absolutely terrible. This hotel is located in Somerville, which is quite possibly the ugliest town in America. I ended up hating Boston because of this. The hotel is located maybe an hour walking of the actual city centre, and being in Somerville you actually don't feel safe walking around that area that much. You also end up depending a lot on the hotel shuttle or taxis to go anywhere. Hated the room I was place on, which was on the backside of the hotel, near a sort of elevated plateau with ventilation shafts which made a lot of uncomfortable noise at night. Someone should definitely measure the decibels on that area of the hotel. Last but not least, did not like the slightly cocky way that I was told I couldn't late checkout on my last day at the hour I suggested. Perfectly fine with my request not being able to be satisfied, but there is a courteous, polite and generally nice way of engaging the customer in the conversation, and that wasn't what happened. I ended up here because the three hotels my company has corporate rates with were fully booked. All in all, and for several different reasons, avoid at all costs - both hotel and the area where it is located, Somerville.
Friendly personnel, clean room
holes in window frames, noise from outside
better than expected location only 2 stops to central Boston. Good food Good facilities
wifi wasn't great but not end of the world
The facility was nice, location not so much. Price very high due to graduation weekend.
Flimsy toilet seat
Convenient and clean.
1) Not clear how to book breakfast on website and couldn't book it on arrival. 2) Desk staff - some good, one particularly unhelpful and rude. Couldn't even be bothered to make eye contact and was completely uninterested when I was trying to inform him that the cigarette bin outside was on fire!! 3) Wifi claimed to be high speed but in reality less than 0.5Mbs.
Nice arrangement and quality of furniture. Bathroom s beautiful. Amenities (although no time available for me to use) looked inviting.
Staff at registration desk wasn't friendly, not a smile from anyone. Bath mat was soiled with blood. Staff did respond promptly with a clean one.
Toilet made frequent gushing sounds throughout the night and day
