Ease of check in / out "Can do" approach of staff

Length of time to wait for a taxi Had to phone a second company I would have thought Holiday Inn would have terms with a local firm to ensure a quick service.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was large, tub, water pressure was perfect. Staff very accomodating. Location close enough to town and shopping.

For the price of the room, breakfast (at least continental) should have been provided. We watched a movie (PG - Family) that was advertised at $4.99 and when we got the bill it was $17.00. The clerk said that was the correct cost of the movie and we had to pay it. NEVER AGAIN - beware!

Hotel beds were comfortable, breakfast good, with priority coupon, desk personnel very helpful and friendly. Work out room and pool nice.

The party that went on late across the hall with 10+ people in one room. The person at the front desk personally visited that room several times to try to quell the noise after I complained. Eventually the noise stopped.

Plenty of parking space and the reception area looked promissing when we arrived. However, all promissing elements of this hotel are forgotten due to the dreadful experience with the hotel's pool, which was no less then horribly disgusting!!

The room we stayed in with two small children was very outdated and it smelled like a basement. The absolutely most horrific thing was the pool, though!! It smelled like a mix of vomit and sour feet; it was so extremely distingusting that I have seriously considered contacting the health authorities. The pool not only stank, it also looked dirty with hair and strange things floating in the pool itself and on the floors next to the pool. What a pity, as one of the major reasons for choosing this hotel with two water-loving children was the pool, and we had looked forward to jumping into the pool after a long ride to Cape Cod. However, I wouldn't allow my kids to get in, as I was afraid they might get sick. I had jumped into the pool, but jumped up after 4 seconds because of the smell and sticky feeling on my body. I showered for half an hour afterwards, trying to get rid of the stinch. It was way over-prized compared to what value we got for our money, not being able to use the pool!!
