Excellent location, great bar, nice cozy rooms
Staff at the check-in should be more friendly. After I checked-in, I couldn't understand the attendants handwriting for my bedroom number. When I went back to ask she didn't even look at my face and answered sounding she was upset with a simple question. Sometimes hotels make a big effort and expense to please you and one simple bad human interaction ruins the experience.
The staff was nice, hotel location great, prices a bit expensive, but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Wifi was a bit iffy.
Gym space. City scape bar (although expensive) most staff were friendly
"Free breakfast" from the free buffet you have to pay an arm and a leg for the fresh stuff. My first room before I moved was very below standard.
The picture shown on the booking.com website showed the wrong picture for the room we reserved. We thought we would have a couch and sitting area which the picture showed but the hotel didn't even feature a room that looked like that with two double beds. False advertising with pictures got the best of us from this website.
Noisy at the lobby and the bar.
the staff of Restaurant abd bar were kind
the staff in front desk was not kind
The bathroom in my hotel room
Rooms were big, bed was comfortable and overall very clean
No Hot Tub in the swimming area
answer from staff, restaurant, position
A Wifi not so good into the room, but a good business center!!!
I enjoy everything about this hotel. The location is fantastic right next to the brown line and Of course my Favorite "Mconalds". This is not your ordinary holiday inn.. The staff,,,,everyone is amazing and knowledgeable. Please visit for breathtaking views and outstanding guest service.
The only thing I can even say remotely inconvenient is the route to the actually hotel. It can be confusing to new guest.
The location, pool, and staff really made the stay great for my kids. The room and hotel were in great shape as well, this is a great spot for long weekends with kids or young couples on a getaway.
Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza River North is an excellent hotel! The staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, had an awesome view of the city, and you can't beat the price for downtown Chicago! I would recommend anyone staying here if they are visiting Chicago or need a quick weekend getaway!
Cioncierge the best! other staff very helpful as well.
Noise due to train and construction... also the tub stopper did not work in one room, so had to take a bath in the other room, (we had 2 rooms for the 6 in our party).
The person who checked us in was very professional and nice. She did an excellent job.
The check out crew (two people). Very hostile.
The location was excellent
Wifi was slow
Location relative to downtown and public transportation. Comfort Amenities Pool Exercise Room
WIFI was not working most of the time.
Location was good, updated room, good view of the city
Place was great. In a nice area great views and friendly staff
Water pressure in our room was awful
The location good for me and the bed was comfortable and the loppy is good also the food awesome and they have nice views
The room so small ! I was booking king room but they give me small!!? Also the they are some nosy in next room I didn't sleep good that night
The Parking has improved.
Parking cost is expensive.
A Big Step into a bath for the shower Should have more moderate ie walk in shower Water pressure not great
Nice location for the River Area and has a nice view from the bar/lounge on the 15th floor.
The room was quite dated and significantly smaller than most hotel rooms. The room had window with a view of concrete wall 6' outside the window. The room was directly next door to the staffs cleaning area and it is easy to hear the staff come and go all night long. Definitely stay somewhere else next time in Chicago.
Only one night - would like to go back
Great location Friendly staff Modern rooms
Dining/food options are not great (including breakfast), instead find options outside of the hotel
It was affordable but still close enough to downtown sights. Great, upscale atmosphere with friendly staff. Comfortable room.
The Wi - Fi and overall cell service in the hotel was terrible.
