3bed 3 bath condo with loads of space. reasonable pricing. Billiard and game room in main building. Restaurant was fine also in main building.
Breakfast was poor. No verizon cell service but front desk allowed free use of hotel phones.
They were very accommodating and beautiful views of the mountains.
Restaurant closes to early on weekends.
The hotel was great! Complete kitchen with all the essentials. Bar and restaurant on the premises. All topped off with a comfortable room that had a fireplace!
No hot tub..
Service desk communication with staff very attentive personnel!
Buffet food was poor could have expanded hot items offered. Empty serving food containers not replaced or dried up due to not enough water under tray. Empty coffee pot with one attendant saying , Oh coffee machine broken? Please!
No phone service....I use Verizon
Close to Okemo Mtn (20-25 minutes) and 30-35 minutes to Killington/Picco. We had a one bedroom villa. Full kitchen. Very clean, and comfortable. A little dated but for the price a winner.
I stayed here with my husband and two young children while snowboarding at Okemo. Our two bedroom suite was very comfortable, clean, and spacious for a bargain price, which more than compensated for the 40min drive to the mountain. The kitchen was well equipped and the shop downstairs had some basic groceries, enabling us to easily prepare most of our meals ourselves.
I never got the WiFi to work, although I didn't really need it, so never contacted hotel staff about it. The fitness and pool facility is not connected to any of the living spaces, so requires a short drive. The pool was large and while the temperature was fine for lap swimming, it was a little cool for just splashing around. The air temperature, however, was definitely cold, as people who weren't swimming lounged around in sweats. The onsite restaurant was comically bad and slow. The morning breakfast buffet didn't open until 8:00and literally ran out of food by 8:30.
Kitchen was amazing!
Fireplace was not real. Wifi was pretty slow.
The location in Vermont is nice. While room was clean this does not overlook the number of negatives with the entire facility.
I could go on with a number of negatives but I will highlight a few. The room advertises a "fireplace" in the room. The truth is, it was a large night light that looks like a fireplace. The heat was turn off in the room when we arrived. We called the front desk and I took almost an hour for the maintenance person to arrive to turn it on. I understand that families vacation here. A young kid was running around in the room above us for 4 + hours. At 9:30 pm I called to complain. It noise continued for another hour. The fitness center and pool are in a totally separate building about a 1/4 of a mile away. It is shared with people that own vacation time shares in the complex. I HAVE A LIST NEGATIVES and WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION.
great place for a birthday party .... divorced parents, adult children ... plenty of room!
I would have like a hot tub somewhere ... but the pool was nice
Bed was very hard..otherwise excellent stay
road construction - not their fault
Bedroom loft, dining area, kitchen, pool tables
The room had a VCR and was very comfortable - lots of amenities. We wished we had planned to stay longer.
The pool was a distance from the unit we stayed in - would have required driving to that building. We were in a two story unit, which was lovely, but the bathroom was on the second story requiring a walk up stairs to access. The staff should ask if that is a problem when assigning the room.
This place was awesome. We were blown away! Had a wonderful time there.
The staff were wonderful and the facilities were terrific.
nothing we didn't like
From the time we arrived until we left we were impressed.roast beef dinner was outstanding
Value for money: for the amount spent, the accommodations and amenities exceeded our expectations. Privacy: we lucked out with an end-unit. Halfway through our stay, someone moved into the room above us, we weren't disturbed at all. Staff: friendly, helpful front desk staff, housekeeping and nice restaurant staff. Everyone was happy and friendly. Grounds: nice view of Mt. Ascutney, well-maintained pond fountain landscape feature and the pool facilities were well-kept. Breakfast buffet: little young ones eat free (under 2 or 3?). Perfect place for us with 3 young kids: down time at 2 pools, playground, arcade room, a good home base location for a week of exploring Vermont (many kid-friendly activities right in Windsor, short drive to Woodstock, Queechee), free daily movie w/popcorn. We may have lucked out getting a room in the main building on the 2nd floor as some reviews have suggested is the best place. From the outside, most other buildings looked comparable and appeared well-maintained. We'll be back!
The indoor pool was a little too warm according to the adults, but the kids loved it. The breakfast buffet was a small fee per person. We would have gone for a free basic continental breakfast. Food looked good though. No complaints about Brown's Tavern food. Don't expect a 3-star Michelin meal and you'll be satisfied! Would be nice to see some local fare on the menu.
The staff were friendly and helpful in recommending things to do in the nearby towns. The location of the resort was stunning. We could definitely see the appeal to skiers but it offered the most spectacular mountain view in the summer too. We loved it here and can't wait to get back.
This was a ski resort for many years but no longer provides this activity.
The staff was beyond nice and helpful. The kids loved the pool, and we loved all the hotel had to offer. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Having the full kitchen was great. It was close to hiking, and you could also hike on property. We will hopefully go back next year!
The continental breakfast was good, but the milk was bad and chunky. When I told the lady helping with breakfast, she sort of laughed it off. There wasn't any syrup out for the pancakes. I asked her for syrup and she brought it out, but it was about ten minutes later. In that time, my pancakes got cold and hard. Near the indoor pool area, there were two band aids on the floor. Those were there our entire stay, which was Wednesday through Friday.
Large suite and very comfortable. Room was clean.
The front entrance had a smelly pile of trash inside the entrance and it was there most of the first day. Bags full of trash, pizza boxes. (fire hazard and not with any hotel fire code.
Suite was very nice, clean and well taken care of.
Complex is in need of fixing up. Railings in disrepair and need of painting at least.
We rented an apartment just for one night, it was spacious, clean and well equipped. Staff helpful and happy. Although it was out of season fires were still lit and all facilities available. Would love to return in the fall/winter.
