the facilities were clean. The room was clean. Loved the balcony. Everything was great.
We didn't like anything. we loved everything
We liked everything.
The resort is absolutely beautiful. Our room was very comfortable, big and nicely decorated. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location of the resort is close to Disney.
Upon arrival we were informed that using the wayer park facilities is not included in room price. They offered us a reduced price and good deals if we would attend a 90 min " presentation " about the resort. The next day we went to this presentation (time share, of course) which lasted from 8 am to almost 1 pm. We were exhausted and upset afterwards because we had just lost half a day of our vacation time, and could not do any park that day. Our advice: skip the deal for the waterpark and run for your life when you see any of those time share sales people! It is a big trap and waste of your money for generations to come!
Friendly and helpful reception Staff. Friendly and helpful Housekeeping Staff Great having a swimming pool so near the apt.
Orange Lake is just too large. Easy to get confused driving round the complex.
I did not like having to pay extra money when I was told that it was a certain price through booking.com and then when I get the resort they charge 75 more dollars
The rooms were great amd big. The staff was super helpul
The bedrooms had a lot of dust. They need to clean better on top of the tables alarms frames and speacially the headboard.
Room clean comfortable large rooms beds comfortable we are a family of 5 and had plenty of room for at least 3 more people.
You are only paying for your room the Resort fee does not cover the use of the Lazy rizer or any thing else on propery all that is extra BIG dollars $300 more for our stay which is CRAZY!!!!!! On our day sleeping in they called at 9am to try to set up a sales meeting for there property after being at parks super late this was very frustrating espeically since they had already tried to set this up when we registered and we had said no. I will not stay here again even though the room itself was nice!
We were really impressed on how well maintained the resort is. The facility and amenities are all excellent.
The food wasn't great but didn't really mind since overall service was awesome.
There is no housekeeping. You have to do your bed and clean up your room. The rooms have old and dirty carpet. My room smelled like fried meat. Low water pressure on the shower and tap. We were very disappointed. I do not recommend it.
Nice facilities, exellent location
Check in advance prices on Disneyland/Universal parks web sites and only after that make decision where to buy tickets to there parks - at reception or at site - we overpaid at reception ~$50 for each ticket.
I sent a shipment of air filters to the hotel, however wasn't able to pick up during my stay. I've been trying over 4-5 emails to find my shipment of EXPENSIVE air filters. All I've got was we'll get back to you email from management. I WANT TO KNOW WHERE MY SHIPMENT IS. Plus, I don't know where you procure your pillows, but I've NEVER EVER in all my life slept on such uncomfortable and lumpy pillows. The front desk tried to waste my precious holiday time by selling me time share in a very un-nice manner. On top of everything, I have 2 mystery credit card charges for items that I didn't buy, and still unanswered by the management. I didn't enjoy the service and staff whatsoever. I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE. PLEASE FIND MY SHIPMENT
The close proximity to Disney was a great plus. A beautiful resort for a very reasonable price. Loved the pool and amenities right outside our villa.
My husband didn't like that there was no room service unless you paid extra for it.
Location, and it was very clean. there is a lot to do. the staff was very professional..
The air that circulate thru the rooms very noisy, enough to keep you awake. The wife said her bed was too hard. It would be hard to stay there again.
We stayed with a group of friends and had a wonderful! The facilities are top notch! We would definitely stay again!
Their were adult pools but other guests brought children to these pools.
the pool and poolside. The comfortable 2 bed apartment with all facilities inside.
The way the timeshare tour of the site is pushed. We had Josh enthusiastically greet us and when we didnt want to take the timeshare tour he insulted us and turned his back on us. Left a terrible impression about the whole resort for the whole stay. This resort was expensive, there was no customer service and we will never go back or recommend it. You pay hotel prices for apartment living.
Relaxing, quiet, peaceful, lovely patio overlooking the lake. These villas are the most, chilled to spend a vacation. Although this year someone was above us !
Okay so,last year we were in a one storey villa, but this year there was someone above us, I asked if it was the same price and was told yes,but in my honest opinion I do feel that this should be the same price as there was some noise. I did mention this regard to price and was told I should of complained, but we arrived at 3oclock in the morning could not focus on that. I was also told that even if you are in the room for 5 hours, you still pay, because you are taking up room time ... Not a good theory,in my opinion and I am a business person.
Time share sales pitch.
Nothing. Should had just rented a house.
After 4 hours of drive we arrived tired and hungry. We were given a $20.00 voucher upon check-in and told to go to the next counter to claim it. The next counter receptionist excitedly told us that we were VIP and were told that we need to choose 3 options ($60.00 consumable, 2 free universal studios tickets or 2 free resort mini-golf. Now, it is not uncommon for us to get free things like free drinks, discounts, use of scuba diving equipments and lessons and even upgrades like when we went to The Venetian Las Vegas and other 4-5 star resorts. I told them that I am an IHG rewards member and we were again told that we are considered VIP and will go on a tour of their resort (which we like) for $30.00 (which we accepted) and were given a schedule the following day. Upon arriving at our appointment the following day we learned that it was a sales pitch for a Time share and Robert, the agent, told us that he will just take us on the same villa where we were checked-in and not necessarily a tour of the whole 1000+ acre property. We complained to the lady boss at the time share center and asked for a refund and informed her that we weren't told that it was a time share thing upon check-in and that we were maliciously misinformed. The lady boss at the time share tour area was a bit rude and adding insult to injury told us that "You know nothing is for free" sarcastically. We remained calm but inside we were furious for the "SCAM" and that totally destroyed our vacation and my wife's celebration of her birthday was ruined. 2nd point. The wifi is ridiculous. It is intermittent and slow. Even the Time share agent Robert smiled and confirmed it. 3rd point. The pool is over treated with toxic smell of chlorine which irritated our skin and eyes. My eyes were so sore that I needed to use eyedrops to relieve the pain. There are lots more to complain but it will just ruin my day.
Convenient location and well stocked accommodation.
Our third visit to Orange Lake Resort in nine years, and decor now looking a bit tired.
Great location (Disney), good rooms and kitchen.
Totally awful pillows on beds!!! If you´re gonna stay just one or two nights and your purpose is going to just see Disney, you may miss this hotel´s services (pools, golf etc.). You should stay longer if you wanna use these opportunities. The hotel area is so huge to see it quickly.
Reception miles from actual apartment block. No staff to escort to apartment. Given really poor map of directions to the apartment, lobby staff at the building did not even know where the room was in the building. Very hard sell for property sales at reception offering cash back to attend a sales meeting.
All the extra hidden fees!!!
The location was perfect for the Disney parks we wanted to visit and the resort had a great lazy river and pools, crazy golf for the days you were parked out. the restraunts had great food. our villa was much bigger than we expected and had all we needed.
On returning from a whole day out at Sea world we found housekeeping staff had been in and had left our door unlocked and standing open, although nothing was missing it was unsettling to know it had been stood open all that time. We made reception aware of this.
Smelly room , mattress springs to sleep on
The resort was in a great location, 10 minutes from Disney and 20 from Universal. And the pools are awesome. The bars near the pool are also great, and drinks are reasonably priced. The beds are very comfortable.
The resort fees don't cover anything, you still have to pay for anything and everything you want to do at the resort. You don't even get daily housekeeping, if you want it you have to pay extra. The pans they provide aren't even non-stick. If you use all the toilet paper and paper towels they provide, you have to buy more. You can hear everything in the hallway, when other rooms open their doors, it sounds like it's your closet door and can get kind of creepy at night. There was also a huge gap under our door and we had to place a towel there at night when we slept to keep the hallway light out. As soon as you check in you are put into a sales pitch, you get all this great free stuff if you sit through a 90 minute presentation, and then they are rude to you when you don't want to do it. The front desk also didn't set up our room key so we could use it as a credit card, and then no one on staff could tell me accurate information about how to get it fixed. It is a cashless resort, so you have to use a credit card for everything. Overall the pools were great, but everything else was below par for a place calling themselves a "resort".
