Great location, access to River walk and near many San Antonio attractions. Nice lobby area. Comfortable rooms and beds. Pool looked nice but the weather was cold and rainy.
Wifi didn't work very well. Breakfast buffet was good but it wasn't free.
room was clean.
a tiny bag for ice bucket. a micro wave and refrigerator was to be in room as i expected, they were not. Bar opened at 4 p.m., I'm on vacation, a bloody mary would have been nice.
The decor was great and the staff were super friendly!
Cleanliness of the patio tables and the elevator cabs need to be cleaned regularly. Also a restaurant would be nice.
The staff was helpful in everyway possible. The pool area was our boys second room. Did I mention the staff was excellent! (I wanted a better view they switched my room no questions asked and overall great customer service!)
Rooms were a little small. But no issues.
Somewhat stylish inside the lobby area.
After key failure to my room, I stood at elevator to go back down to front desk from the 7th floor. As soon as the elevator doors opened, I noticed the phone on the wall behind me. The front desk clerk was rude and insisted I should have used this phone. Yet, she needed to issue me a new key anyway??!! When I finally got into the room it stunk really bad, like someone forgot to flush the toilet. It also had a strong musty smell from the carpet. The next front desk agent listened to my complaint and got me a new room, which was acceptable.
Room was dirty bed sheets were not clean
Location was great, bar was great, food was great.
There was no fridge for left over food.
Great helpful staff from top to bottom. Hotel bar had the best prices in the city. Easy access to the museums.
Not sure why they think having the rolling stones staying there once 40 yrs ago is a selling point.
Fitness center, patio
Room was very small. Huge winding pathway to get to hotel room. Could hear every person that came down the stairs with their luggage. Outrageous taxes hidden on to price. Expensive parking. Overpriced breakfast which should be free for what you pay. Terrible pillows and outdated hotel. Way overpriced and overrated for what it was. Not a great experience.
The tropical feel and being on the riverwalk
charging for parking
Staff was always helpful with everything including getting a taxi ASAP. The hotel was clean and the walkway was beautiful.
Person at the front desk was helpful in getting our reservation made.
Someone dropped the ball on our reservation. Booked it from an online site, but either the hotel or the site lost the reservation. No one took responsibility for the problem.
The staff was incredible. They were very helpful and great with directions. The lobby was so beautiful, it was a great place to just sit and hangout.
We got lost in the parking lot in the beginning...then again we didn't ask where it was and parked in the staff parking lol. The rooms looked small but we were only there for one night, so I felt like we didn't need big space. Had a little problem with the TV but got it fixed right away. The hotel is basically a mile away from all the excitement of the Riverwalk but I very much enjoyed the walk. My husband was a bit,
I like the look of the hotel. I like that it was off the river and within walking distance to everything we were there for. I like the tiki bar its a nice friendly atmosphere. And if it wasn't so cold we would have lived the pool and the fire pit. We had a great time on our anniversary date. Other than the morning wake up.
The showers weren't so great. We hardly had hot water and tried to move the knob as much as we could to get hotter but in middle of shower just got completely cold.. So not great. Then on Sunday morning at 7 am. We were awaken by noise from another room sounded like someone was rearranging furniture til about 10 am. So if we wanted to sleep in we were not allowed. Told the staff about it and all we got was an I'm so sorry we don't know where it could have been coming from. And I also dont like that they charge $18 to park your car in the lot. You're already paying to stay there why do you need to pay additional to park...
It was clean and close to the riverwalk
I left a $120.00 pair of shoes in the room when I checked out. I called and of course no one turned them in. I guess the people that clean rooms there are not very honest
Beautiful rooms with nice views. Very comfortable rooms and beautiful grounds.
It can get noisy. If other guests are in hallways, opening and closing doors it can be very loud.
Excellent gym. Better than Marriot SAT Gym.
It is a reasonable walk to the main Riverwalk action. Lobby is nice-looking.
Size of room and bathroom were very small even for two people. Finishes were sloppy like wall paper and paint, looks like dozens of coats of paint applied over the years. Parking is $18/day and was not mentioned until check-in. The arrival experience was unsatisfactory, with a long line of vehicles trapping others in. There is not much of a restaurant, so other than breakfast food options are very limited. It was the the busy holiday season, but the cost was way too high for the value received.
The staff at this place are very friendlyand they do a great job.
It would be nice if it was closer to the action on the river walk, but a taxi is very cheap, so I always left my car parked at the hotel and took a taxi.
The lobby was really pretty and nice and staff was mostly friendly. It was right next to River walk but you had to walk a long way either on walk or on streets to get to main downtown.(1/2 to 3/4 mile) Breakfast and parking however were not free.
The friends we were traveling with found a cockroach in their room on the wall. Staff didn't seem to be too concerned but came and checked it out. Tub wouldn't drain and they didn't get it fixed. We paid $18/day for parking in the lot and it was full on New Years Eve for a party that only cost $10 for party goers to park. Security just told us we couldn't park up front, and garage will not hold big trucks (too tight to move). We finally left keys at front desk and they valet parked us for rest of time. It was farther from River walk then we thought. We Would Not stay there again.
Over priced poor quality breakfast buffet. Also the WiFi availability was virtually non-existent in the room.
The amenity of having a lounge/bar inside the hotel was very convenient & safe along with live jazz very relaxing.
Wasn't given the room booked upon arrival, however the staff was quick to fix the following day giving the correct room along with complimentary drinks.
The staff was fried and very helpful when we asked questions about how to get to certain places. The bed was very comfortable and Mangos breakfast was amazing. We upgraded to a fun pack Wich paid for parking almost all of our breakfast and gave us trolley tokens.
I think parking for this hotel should be free since we are already paying to stay here. But other than that we really enjoyed it.
Circa 1960 rooms that need a renovation badly. No restaurant after breakfast, just a snack bar staffed by folks who seem incredibly bored. Located in a dark, sad part of town with no nearby restaurants. Over-priced.
