Score from 25 reviews Wonderful
Friendly staff, great breakfast, close to conference area, Great price
Noisy refrigerator, heating unit KNOCKED all night. I woke up every 2 hours
The complimentary breakfast was outstanding.
I can not say that there is something I do not like, this is just my first time of being in the hotel. However much I love that serving food be much chipper, that would make patronizing the inn more attractive, for academician like me.
Location was very good. Parking was tight. Breakfast was nice.
It cost $551 for two nights which was more than airfare for two of us to fly from NY
Noisy heating system
Everything. Especially the Breakfast.
a kind staff who adjusted my groom transportation reservation and also another kind staff who ordered a meal for us arriving late at night
nothing was uncomfortable
Lobby beautiful. Breakfast great selection. Eating area was roomy.
Mattress too soft. Bathroom very small!
Children running the halls at night.
The first room I was given had soaked carpet between the bed and the bathroom wall. I called the front desk to report it and was moved to a room a few doors down the hallway. The bathroom in this room had long black hairs on the tub and the toilet. I cleaned the bathroom myself at which time I discovered that the bathtub did not drain properly. Each time I showered I ended up standing in several inches of water. Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel.
I liked the breakfast. The business center was easy to tap into to print documents quickly. Location was great! Room was clean and quiet!
I did not like the fact there was only one staff member running the desk. There would be guest checking in which takes a few minutes and other guests with questions. The guest questions have to wait too long or they just give up and get mad!
*The location is pretty close to downtown area and the university of Georgia. There's a bus stop within a walking distance from the hotel's entrance. *The staff is very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was done quickly. *The Wi-Fi in the room was very reliable and fast. I was always connected and had no problems. *While breakfast was almost the same everyday, I still found it to have enough variety for everyone: it had a fridge full of dairy products like milk and yogurt of all kinds, cereals, oatmeal boxes (quaker), eggs, sausage or bacon and a large assortment of baked stuff, in addition to fresh juices and a pancake machine, with all additives like jam, peanut butter...etc. There were also coffee and tea making equipment. *The room is pretty spacious and the bed was so comfortable. TV had a lot of cable channels but I really didn't watch a lot of it. The room comes with a mini-fridge, coffee maker and a microwave. *There was a vending machine on the same floor. *Free newspaper was supplied daily on weekdays and one for the weekend delivered on Friday.
*There were no dining options on-site. Only breakfast was served. *No staff assigned to help you with luggage.
Grounds and landscaping was nice. Entrance and dining area was very nice. Breakfast was good. Price was good.
We were confused on how to get from our room to front desk and dining hall. Did not like parking on side and going in side door. Should be an entrance from hall to front of hotel. We walked each time around the building until last morning and my husband discovered elevator. Confusing. Our bed was not comfortable. Seemed worn. Room was a good side. We thought it was a good value for the money. Thank you for breakfast.
Lower rear entrance
location free breakfast good coffee comfortable bedding
renovations in progress, but needed ran out of UGA orientation gifts parking can be difficult
Cleaning staff provided extra towel for room with no issue. Breakfast staff was very kind. Breakfast had wonderful variety, best breakfast we've had at a hotel. Pool well maintained. Hotel close to down town area, but felt safe while staying there. Fridge and microwave in room was a nice bonus, especially having young children. Good channel selection for television.
Entrance to hotel not easy to see from road, missed entrance a few times. Internet reception a bit spotty in room. Hotel has one washer and dryer. Dryer was very slow, took almost two hours to dry one load of clothes.
Clean, relatively inexpensive, nice breakfast, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Website routed us to the regular Holiday Inn two blocks away. While I understand the properties are related, the email confirmation should route you to the actual property you reserved, not a sister hotel.
very friendly staff, greatlocation, walking distance from down town Athens and the Campus, nice and clean, very nice gym....wha,.t more could you want
Great location in the heart of Athens. Visually pleasing common areas. Staff was amazing. Lobby well lit and pleasant. No slowdown of wifi
The hotel had a horrible smell like a broken sewer line in the walkway to the lobby: Same issue last year. The layout leaves much to be desired. First floor is almost underground Vending machines are virtually non-existent without going on a scavenger hunt for soda. Weird to have snack machines on one floor and beverages on another. Easier to get in the car and go to the local convenience store. The hotel had an overall dank, dark an musty smell like reserving a room in a basement in an old house. Overpriced for the facilities.
Close to city centre (walking distance) Great value for money Confortable beds Excellent staff
Weird neighbourhood (social housing around) Limited choice for breakfast
I left some pocketbooks and the brides veil and called back and they had been put in lost and Found and were kept for us until some friend of ours picked them up a few days later. Really appreciated that.
Not enough parking on Saturday night(there were 4 weddings in Athens that same weekend and the motel was booked solid) so that was the reason) but did finally find a spot with the help of security.
That I requested a room with a King bed, and had to settle for a room with 2 double beds at the same price.
The pool was closed and a sign was posted that indicated that it was closed due to the winter months. The Holiday Inn directly up the street also had an outdoor pool and the pool was open. Obviously there was another reason the pool was closed and I would have preferred honesty. I selected this location because it had a pool and I needed practice time before an event I was scheduled to participate in.
Great location, great staff, and the breakfast had great options!
Courteous and helpful staff
Too noisy @ night of my stay, a lot of young people slamming doors, running up and down hallways and talking loudly. Hard to rest with all of the commotion.
