Enjoyed the location for the most part, and the availability of restaurants within walking distance, staff was courteous and extremely helpful
Even on 15th floor the traffic noise was annoying, also room appeared to need a deep cleaning, and windows had a constant draft
algo costoso para su estilo ...
Lovely place to stay; the staff was friendly and helpful.
The size of the room was smaller than I expected, but it still was fine for what I needed it for!
Location only !!
Room is very small & no table or chairs The queen bed is too small
Good location. The breakfast was not so good, but it was reasonable for the price of the hotel.
-location is great -breakfast was ok -the room was clean -the view was exelent
-size of the room -the AC was noisy -we did not have a refrigerator in the room, but they brought us a small one
The rooms are extremely small for the price but the location is very convenient.
Great bed! Staff was very helpful considering our reservation was made for a different day. Our mistake. Breakfast was the best one on our trip.
Room was a little small Couldn't park in their lot our van was too tall.
The hotel completely fulfilled my expectations and more. Everything was great, from location, to facilities, to breakfast, to the room itself! Totally recommended!
The only thing I could "complain" about would be the elevators being a bit slow in the morning rush, but that's about it!
Very nice breakfast and very nice and friendly staff.
Rooms are too small
Great location, accessible to everything! Comfy bed and very decent breakfast. Some street noise, but generally enjoyed our upper-floor room w/ city view.
The room was really tiny. This was actually not a problem for us, but something other travelers might be concerned about. Staff did not make up the rooms every day, but they did provide us with clean towels and so forth.
The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful
Room so small I couldn't open my suitcase on the floor (someone on staff told us that the hotel rooms had been downsized since Holiday Inn took over - to the point that the cleaning staff has trouble servicing the rooms). Slow elevators. Horrible breakfast area. If the floor cleaner asks you "do you need anything" and you say "no, thanks" (thinking it means "anything special"), that just means she will skip doing your room. Let's be clear: the place is cheap. But a few days before I was alone before family members arrived, and stayed around the corner at a small design hotel. For only 30% extra cost I had 200% better lodgings, with minibar, room service, a nice lounge area, a bar and restaurant. If you are desperate, the cass Holiday Inn Express will do. At least the room is clean.
Overall good hotel, no inconvenience at all, staff was extremely good. I made a good choice and happy about it.
The location is wonderful for walking around the neighborhood. You are literally able to walk to most any place that you want. Trader Joe's is also right across the street. I like the fact that they had breakfast and free WiFi as well. The staff was very nice.
My room was small, which I didn't see anywhere in the description. I literally walked in and felt like I was back in a dorm. The room was clean, but the blanket that they put on the bottom of the bed had a few spots. It was also very loud. I heard many sirens (which could have just been apart of the busy night), but there is also a garage outside that beeps constantly when it is opened. Just be prepared for a loud, sleepless night.
Location, breakfast, staff, cleanliness, history of hotel
double rooms along Wabash have parking garage siren constantly - request back hall room air filter in room 801 needs changed
The front desk team was spectacular! They made the stay. Thank you for your attention to the customer.
Congestion about the elevator. It became a bottleneck at times.
Location to college of interest... Close to restaurants Safe walking area
Small rooms Only one guest elevator Unimpressive breakfast $49 extra charge for parking
I had used this hotel on a previous occasion and liked the location, quality and price.
There's always compromises to be made and the lack of space in the room was something I noted on this occasion.
location was great, rooms clean and quiet, breakfast excellent, price good for location compared to other hotels, can walk to transport and places to eat.
air con a bit noisy.
breakfast small room with a big bathroom
1，staff's attitude; 2，breakfast variety
Room was clean and bed was comfy. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Breakfast was offered a bit late for those traveling early. Wasn't able to even grab a piece of fruit cuz I had to leave for the train station at 6:15.
Location is great! Few steps from Magnificent Mile! Helpful and kind staff at reception
Room was as small as a "Wagon lit"! You could define it a "Chicago Express" and not an Holiday inn! You don't have the space to turn around the bed.. Breakfast was unbeliveablly crowded in a very small room. People did not know where to sit so they were eating everywhere in the lobby...it was a horrible show! If you choose this hotel for the breakfast included, you could find a better place in the hotel nearby and have breakfast in some bars around. If you book through bookings you won't be charged ihg points!
Friendliness, eager assistance, great breakfast, close to just about every thing.
Overpriced considering the size of the room along with the window view.
I loved the location. Walking to one of my favorite spots, Oak St Beach was a breeze. The hotel was also very quiet and I loved that. The hotel is in a great spot for hanging out on North Michigan Ave as well as dining on the Gold Coast.
The room was a little small and my view was a brick wall. It was fine because I was only going to be there for two days and my plans were to be everywhere except the room. I think that on the next renovation they should explore how to reconfigure the bathroom so they can put in a proper closet.
