Overall good hotel, no inconvenience at all, staff was extremely good. I made a good choice and happy about it.
Location, breakfast, staff, cleanliness, history of hotel
double rooms along Wabash have parking garage siren constantly - request back hall room air filter in room 801 needs changed
The front desk team was spectacular! They made the stay. Thank you for your attention to the customer.
Congestion about the elevator. It became a bottleneck at times.
I had used this hotel on a previous occasion and liked the location, quality and price.
There's always compromises to be made and the lack of space in the room was something I noted on this occasion.
breakfast small room with a big bathroom
1，staff's attitude; 2，breakfast variety
Room was clean and bed was comfy. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Breakfast was offered a bit late for those traveling early. Wasn't able to even grab a piece of fruit cuz I had to leave for the train station at 6:15.
Location is great! Few steps from Magnificent Mile! Helpful and kind staff at reception
Room was as small as a "Wagon lit"! You could define it a "Chicago Express" and not an Holiday inn! You don't have the space to turn around the bed.. Breakfast was unbeliveablly crowded in a very small room. People did not know where to sit so they were eating everywhere in the lobby...it was a horrible show! If you choose this hotel for the breakfast included, you could find a better place in the hotel nearby and have breakfast in some bars around. If you book through bookings you won't be charged ihg points!
Friendliness, eager assistance, great breakfast, close to just about every thing.
Overpriced considering the size of the room along with the window view.
I loved the location. Walking to one of my favorite spots, Oak St Beach was a breeze. The hotel was also very quiet and I loved that. The hotel is in a great spot for hanging out on North Michigan Ave as well as dining on the Gold Coast.
The room was a little small and my view was a brick wall. It was fine because I was only going to be there for two days and my plans were to be everywhere except the room. I think that on the next renovation they should explore how to reconfigure the bathroom so they can put in a proper closet.
The beds were good and the service was great. The continental breakfast was well past expected with eggs, turkey sausage, personal pancake maker, and then the expected like bagel and such.
The rooms are very small but not bad since we didnt spend much time there. Our first room had a hole in the matress that had a wire stab my fiancè in the leg and bruised her. The wire was zip tied down but it broke. They knew about it obviously. Then they sent us from the 3rd floor to the 16th floor. That room had a broken bedside light with the cap half way off, exposing wires. The bathroom also had a broken light switch face plate which could allow water onto the wires. The light was not GFI (for those that dont know, Ground Fault Inturuption is the plug that pops next to your bathroom sink when it gets a surge) protected, even though code says anything within 10ft of a water source has to be protected to prevent electricution.
Excellent location, very good value for money, ideal for a short city break.
Unfortunately our room was located opposite a garage door & every time the door opened an alarm sounded. Room was cramped.
Small room size, quiet inconvenient.
Central location, could walk everywhere
The rooms are small but you don't go to Chicago and spend all your time in your hotel room!
The hotel location and the helpful staff
The rooms are on the small side
Accessible gym & business centre - great location to walk from. Quality small room.
Good location for Magnificent Mile, less good for the Loop, Grant Park etc. Small but clean room Staff generally friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast poor quality food, served on polystyrene plates with plastic cutlery and cups. View of wall from room window. Expensive for what you get.
location and can you please add our stay in my reward points
Very well located for Magnificent Mile, very friendly staff, large touch screen in lobby
Room was a little small, but not a problem for our three night stay
The location was great! Close walk to Willis tower, Navy Pier and Michigan Ave. We were able to enjoy the downtown area. The staff was nice and friendly. The check in/ check out process was easy and fast. We liked the breakfast and the variety that they had.
We had an instance where housekeeping entered our room without knocking or introducing who they were. Then in the morning we felt rushed by housekeeping because they asked us 3times before it was even 10:30am when we were planning to check out. The Room was super tiny and the AC made a lot of noise during the night. The walls are definitely thin and we could hear everything in the halls like people talking and opening doors.
Courteous, friendly, helpful staff. Great breakfast.
The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice and shower was great. Nice to have a table for working on a laptop. Breakfast was very good and plenty of food and coffee even at 9 am. Staff was exceptionally good and right on top of every need. I would stay there again next time we're in Chicago. Very close to everything and walkable to restaurants. Even a short cab ride if going further out. I only gave a good on the facilities, because of the age of the building. I appreciate the history of the building and it was nice to stay there!
The elevators were a bit slow, but not a big deal. The breakfast area needed a little TLC from messy breakfast eaters, but this was already at 9 am, so maybe it was just a matter of product running low. The bed light was odd. Not workable to use. Could have had a pull out table from the bed in order to have a night stand. The air conditioning turned the heat on at setting at 70 degrees, but having it off, was comfortable.
Great staff and service, very comfortable beds and sheets.
Small rooms, very small closet, very long wait for elevators. This is just the nature of an older building, so I don't fault anyone for that.
Good location. Reasonably priced compared to many others. Pleasant, helpful staff. Decent breakfast included.
Could have used more floor space in the room.
Receptionist was not friendly, never smile, and rude. The dining area is small. The room area is very small. I do not recommend this facility.
