It was very convenient for the cruise port and it was clean and the staff were very helpful
Love it! Everything was great!
Great place to stay near the airport with van service
Air condition noise Aircondition blow Lousy breakfast Poor beds
Four different Holiday Inn shuttles arrived at the airport but none would take us to this particular hotel. Each one saying the next shuttle, the next shuttle. Arriving very late at night we were tired and after waiting nearly an hour decided to take a cab. Our flight details and requirement for a shuttle were detailed on our booking but one that would take us never turned up, and we saw no shuttle at the hotel coming or going the following day either.
Great hotel and a fair price, breakfast was substantial.
We requested an early check in from Bookings.com who confirmed that this had been approved by the property but when we arrived, the hotel knew nothing about it and could not accommodate our request.
great location .close to the beach.restaurant.super market .friendly staff .we will going back .
no bad comment
Smell of kitchen in the room
noise of the aircon in the rooms!
Very friendly helpful staff. Great place to stay, handy to everything.
very helpfull staff
fire alarm went off several times during the night
No matter where you go, no matter if your sheets are covered in roses or there are no sheets at all, it's always about the staff. They were wonderful and made my stay enjoyable! I would highly recommend Holiday Inn Express!
Two things I have to mention. First, there was a funny scent in the room I stayed in. I guess whatever they were washing before I checked in, didn't get to dry and ventilate in time. Though, once inside the room for a few min, you get used to it, so it wasn't that bad. Second, the wifi. For some reason, it worked flawlessly on my phone, but I couldn't get it to work on my laptop. It would drop connection every couple of minutes... Haven't had that kind of a problem when it comes to my laptop connectivity before.
I requested a quiet room which apparently at this hotel means putting you in the room right next to the elevator. It was so loud and noisy with the elevator constantly "dinging" all through the morning and night. Cleaning staff here take FOREVER to clean rooms. So, if you're planning on sleeping in - forget it. Further to this, they yell at each other while standing right infront of rooms (I had the *SHHH* sign on my door!) and down the hall to each other which is so infuriating early in the morning. They seem to spend more time talking than cleaning. Lastly - and my BIGGEST complaint with this hotel is the ridiculous amount that they charge for making phone calls in the room. I made a few phone calls that lasted 2-10 minutes AT MOST to Canada and was charged $300 over the course of 3 days!! They add multiple taxes to your phone calls including a hotel commission. I think that is SO incredibly sly and such a sneaky thing to do especially when I had asked previously what the tariff was for calling Canada. When I inquired about all the taxes and commissions that made a 2 minute call add up to $14.00 (for example) I was given the explanation that I had made an "international call". God forbid if anyone needed to actually call somewhere "international" that was NOT in North America! I used to always stay at Holiday Inn wherever I travel (which I do very frequently) but I will NEVER stay with any Holiday Inn again. This experience with the phone left such a bad taste in my mouth. Thankful to know this though as I was considering blocking rooms at this hotel for my wedding but will gladly take my money and business elsewhere. Such a disappointment and a rip-off. My room ended up costing close to $800 because of these ridiculous phone taxes! DON'T BOOK HERE!!!
Walking distance to restaurants
Was convenient for the tour we attended. Free parking was a bonus. Early start breakfast was a good inclusion.
We arrived late & were not able to take full advantage of hotel facilities.
Rooms were clean and well proportioned and had good air-conditioning- even if the unit in our room was a little noisy when working on Auto. Wifi worked fine not particularly fast, but did the job just fine for low demand applications.
No swimming pool which is a great pity. Whilst the lobby is air-conditioned the connecting hallways to the rooms on the upper floors from the lifts were very hot and humid suggesting an a/c issue here or a lack of a/c facilities. Slightly surprised that the beds were made with the top sheet over the duvet not under it
location, staff was very nice. within walking distance to restaurants.
the vending machine did not work. I could not get bottled water when I needed it. Had to go out. It did not work on two floors.
clean, free shuttle to the airport, kind personel, good location for congress center and shopping, spaceous rooms, realistic price setting, restaurants across the street
break fast was ok, but could be slightely better.
Close location to convention center, decor/design of room, excellent breakfast, some staff extremely friendly, convenient shuttle service from airport
Some staff members (night shift) at front desk were not helpful at all. I requested a ride from the Hyatt back to the hotel since it was too late for a lady to walk back. The gentleman at the front desk flatly refused to send a shuttle & did not even offer suggestions to remedy the situation (i.e., a cab). I also requested a bottle opener; without even searching to see if one was available, I was told to go to the local Walfreen's for something like that. The walls are very thin at this hotel as well, & sound from other guests carried over into my room easily. I also needed to utilize a tax free document provided by my university. Management (Gloria) flatly refused to allow this & required that I pay tax even though my university requires payment with personal funds, after which we will be reimbursed for the hotel stay. With a limited budget, the extra expense due to this was very inconvenient. In addition, when I arrived I was told that I could check out later than usual since my flight was not until 6pm in the evening. On the last day of my stay I was told I would be given up to 1pm to vacate the room, & that I can place my luggage downstairs until my flight time arrived. When I returned for my luggage, the room where it was kept was unlocked & unsupervised allowing easy access for anyone to walk in and take it. Luckily, no one did this (thankfully, since valuable items were found stowed in my luggage). Also, they had no procedure for identification of luggage; Anyone guest could have taken my luggage since there were several bags stowed in the same location with no identifiers. Overall, the amenities, room size, & service did not match up to the expensive rate charged. The hotel is very clean (great & friendly custodial staff), but service needs a bit of work.
Nothing to dislike, just a regular hotel. Hotel is on a bus route and public transport is fairly good and easy to use.
The throwaway society of the USA where all the breakfast things go in the bin and virtually nothing is recycled.
It was centrally located and the rooms were clean.
The beds and pillows were not comfortable and the hotel offers very limited services. Could not Sven send a fax abroad as they had no international line.
Cancelled our reservation without notice.
Location and friendly staff.
From a business point of view there were no cupboards and very limited open space to hang clothes. There was no dedicated kettle to boil water to make tea, the coffee machine was not adequate for such purpose. I was on the 4th floor and there was too much noise from the cleaning trolleys being pushed around on the 5th floor. My luggage arrived 3 days late from the airport due to a problem with the airlines, I had to repeatedly ask reception if it arrived on the third day I was told it had but when checking the delivery receipt found it had been delivered the day before, I should have been notified and should not have had to ask.
