Convenient location to restaurants in downtown Great Barrington, and proximity to my business in Housatonic... Helpful and friendly staff at the desk and breakfast area...Supply of towels at the pool. I chose the hotel for the pool. has so much chlorine that my skin smelled of it after two showers. That amount of chlorine is unnecessary, and I suspect a bit dangerous. I would like to have had a swim on my second night, but the I did not want to repeat the extremely unpleasant experience. I suggest an immediate replacement of the coffee pot in the room. It was dirty overall from age, and that was disappointing. I had intended to use it. The person who cleans the room would not have been able to clean the old machine properly. It is not her (I doubt there is a man doing this job) fault. Provide a second blanket for each bed, and include a thinner pillow with the current choice. The price is too high for this room in November. I was here on business and I see that I could have stayed at your competitors for much less.

Good hotel. The beds were comfortable with clean duvets. The breakfast was good and handy to have right there. My room was supposed to be non-smoking but the smell of smoke permeated the room. I couldn't change the room because needed my room to adjoin with elderly in-laws (who also thought my room was very smokey). There is not much sound barrier and noise easily carried from the room next door.
