Score from 144 reviews Very good
Nicely laid out rooms with a reasonable amount of space. Amenities and furnishings quite extensive, including a microwave and refrigerator, though with limited drawer and closet space. Free Wi-Fi and a basic breakfast included in room rate. Walking distance to central Mountain View.
Location on an ugly commercial road. Room faced the street, so some limited road noise. Window not far from a bright blue light on the front of the building.
this hotel and it's personnel are highly inflexible. Extending check out with approx 2 hours (from 11am, which is already early) was not at all possible and would be charged an extra day. I am staying in hotels 100 days per year and usually find no problems with such request. There are more flexible and friendly hotels for a better price!
Kudos to housekeeping, this place was absolutely immaculate. Felt like I was the first guest in the place. This was my 5th hotel stay on this trip and it felt like I had won the lotto. The photos of this place don't do it justice (if you can believe that!).
I had a room on the main road. It was very noisy. I had to wear earplugs.
The hotel is centrally located for visitors to Mountain View. The rooms in the back are very quiet and my room was very clean and well equipped. Very friendly staff and decent breakfast.
Nothing, really. I had a noisier room in the front at first but was moved to the back without trouble.
location, cleanliness, staff
price was a bit steep
The breakfast was great for an express hotel. The staff was also exceedingly friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. Moreover, if you want to be in Palo Alto and Mountain View, the position of the hotel is excellent.
It was very easy to hear the street traffic, and I was bit concerned that I'd die in the elevator, which was about 7 months past inspection.
destination is good near supermarket, restaurant, US 101; no noise
Clean quiet friendly staff, some who were knowledgeable about the area, some less so reasonable price for a nice, clean room
Breakfast was ok, if you stayed away from the hot foods. Can't go wrong with cereal or bagels. And, especially if you are in the Bay Area, why can't a hotel start using low-impact, recyclable materials. Or at least provide a recycling bin! Stop wasting stuff by packaging ALL the in-room coffee stuff together, so use one sugar packet and the whole thing gets thrown away. And no recycling bin in the breakfast area for all those thousands of paper plates and plastic cutlery. come on, it's 2014!
Everything from room, cleanliness, friendly staff and excellent breakfast!
Smartly appointed rooms w/ tablets Great breakfast Luxurious bed
The breakfast was excellent with a good variety each day. I liked that there were a lot of choices. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Very quiet also, even though we were right by the elevator.
The air conditioning/heating unit is very noisy and isn't very efficient. It cycles on and off frequently. On this stay, it was quite hot, so we had the air on. It would run until the room was freezing, and then shut off, and wait until it was hot and stuffy before coming back on. Guess I'm not used to a system like this, as at home I have central air and don't notice the cycling and it keeps my home at an even temp. This was just hard to get used to.
Good location for concert at shoreline ampitheater
Small breakfast area.
Great location. Lovely bathroom and room. Excellent breakfast. Much better than most upscale hotels.
I was so turned off at check in that I said I would not stay there again. After check in, the employee said she would need my credit card agailn because they were going to charge $200 to my account until they were sure there were no damages to room when I departed. I usually stay at an upscale suite hotel and never have I been asked for that. I also was a travel agent for 30 years and never heard anyone say that hotel would hold $100 dollars a night as a deposit. Employee said that most hotels did not tell you that. I said that "she should not tell me that because it was very annoying if you were trying to get more upscale clients". I asked her if their clients were all so rowdy that they needed that policy. So disappointing when it is a very lovely hotel. No swimming pool though.
New facilities Very helpful staff Good breakfast
Limited parking spaces. I was a bit uncomfortable parking on the street.
New and fresh hotel.
Breakfast ends at 9.00 AM, although we could get breakfast later.
cleanliness breakfast new construction
No comforters in room -- just a bedcover that doubled as comforter and we ended up feeling cold at night. Construction near lift area
