Location is close to the subway, and the staff was good.
Bathroom should have been cleaner. Our room was tiny, so if your stay is for a longer period, this may not be your 1st choice of hotels.
Location was very good within a two blocks walk from Wall Street lines 2, 3, 4, and 5 subway stop. Walking distance from the famous free Staten Island Ferry at the end of Water Street. A 24 hour Duane Reade was half a block across the street so that was very convenient. Room standard quality as expected for a Holiday Inn Express. Buffet breakfast was good and varied. The Latin lady that worked breakfasts during week days was very nice and cheerful, she instilled you with energy and good humor to start the day.
Two mishaps upon arriving: We were given a room right away after we arrived but when we got there IT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED UP AFTER THE LAST GUEST, receptionist apologized profusely and moved us to a new room. New room was good. We went out for some hours and upon coming back our door cards did not work and we found traces of tried forced entry in our door, dints in the metal door frame and in our wooden door, so we were expecting the worst when they could finally open the door. Nothing was stolen and again we had to be moved to a new room because our security concerns not because it was offered. On the bright side they threw in a 40% discount for that day rate
magnificent breakfast buffet included with room - major value! comfortable room great location - 1/2 block off Wall St., easy walk to subway, to 911, to Trinity Church
Centrally located, nice breakfast, overall cooperative staff
Slightly high price, very small rooms, limited facilities
comfortable pillows, check in/out was quick
short bed - NOT a King, no toothbrushes or toothpaste provided, TV volume went up by itself - making the TV unusable unless we wanted to keep pressing the volume down button or listen at full volume, room near the ice maker - quite loud
Everything - free breakfast was suberb.
Air con a loud but great otherwise.
localization kind personnel iron & coffee maker in the room relation price/offer
bathroom needs little renovation
Breakfast, guest service
Room was too small for four people. Heater was noisy and could not really sleep. Long wait during check-in.
• location • staff - they were all very friendly and attentive • comfort This hotel seems to be a very good value for the money. The area has a nice selection of restaurants and coffee shops in spite of being off the beaten path after work hours.
The price was expensive (for an out of towner everything in Manhattan carries a severe sticker shock). Also, the Wi-Fi was not superquick. Hotel Wi-Fi is always shoddy though.
The service during breakfast and staff at the front desk was great and helpful
The bathroom is too small.
The server at breakfast ( on Saturday and Monday - a lady from Puerto Rico) was excellent. She was very efficient, kind and friendly. Makes your start of the day very positive.
The server at breakfast on Sunday was blase! Most food items (juices, hot water, eggs, etc.), people had to ask for as she did not replace the empty items. She had an attitude. Talked on the phone most of time in the kitchen.
location (nearby metro), all you need is in the room, service
little room, breakfast (bread, industrial food) matress too hard.
Loved being in the Financial District in walking distance of so many great bars and restaurants.
Breakfast atomsphere was a pleasure! My mornings started with a warm greeting and an abundance of smiles from the effervescent kitchen lady. Desk staff were helpful and friendly! On this alone I would consider staying again.
Room was extremely small and lighting was poor. Natural light was unavailable- curtained window revealed a very dark dingy alley with dirty buildings and rusted metal stairs.
breakfast was great staff was helpful and nice free wifi location good
cramped everything-frontage ,lobby, room, hallway uninviting lobby , Mattress too firm but staff added a pad which made it bearable
The streets bazaar during the weekends and the location proximity to major attractions
The rooms are small and the breakfast area very crowded with limited seating.
Needed a better view
Nice staff, great location close to a subway. The rooms are very clean and bed extremely comfortable.
Small room. Because it is in the financial district, everything closes early so finding food at nigt can be a hassle.
location room size bed was good some staff very good
some staff - rude guests somking weed in the room next to us
good bathroom comfortable bed good help from staff at desk good location to financial district
small room expensive room rate, like all of Manhattan parking garage makes car inaccessible
Good location need to walk to the subway, but the bull is close too :) Food is acceptable, but not outstanding I would recommend it for short stays. Staff is helpful and happy. That is a good thing in NY :)
Expensive, just like every hotel in Manhattan. Small dining/breakfast room. Sometimes some guys had to wait for table. Our room was very noisy. When the climate control was not operating it started to get smelly even with opened window. I thought because of the carpet, but it is really subjective opinion. Room was so small.
Location. Price vs. quality. Staff.
