Score from 1568 reviews Excellent
fast wifi, location, gym, breakfast
The ''business center'' in in front of the door. You cannot work there for more than a few minutes. It is cold - I was there during the winter
Just about everything, and all at a very affordable price.
The clothes closet was too small and most of the space was taken up by the ironing board and iron. But that's a very minor gripe!
Everybody was nice and friendly, location puts you close to everything, they gave me a late checkout when I asked.
Not the best view unless you get a room on a high floor. Some of the lower rooms give you a view of a construction site.
It was great to find a clean, comfortable place to stay in a very safe, convenient location that was close to everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful during our two week stay and we have no complaints.
The breakfast options were okay but it would have been nice to have them rotated a little more over the fortnight we stayed. Most cereal or dairy options had sugar added. Fruit salad or unsweetened yogurt would've been great.
The hotel is very good for the place of Manhattan. If you want shopping, enjoying life of Times Square/Broadway, this is the very place you should want. The staffs are nice and helpful for us. The breakfast are good too.
The living room is near to the 36th street. There is a bar nearby and cars passed by. For the bar's reason, it is very noisy. You could hear the music and their laughs in midnight.
Nice property on herald sq & within walking distance to major attractions.
They can improve their breakfast spread & cutlery.
Good location and friendly staff. Contrary to what was confirmed in the booking they do offer complimentary breakfast. Also, they allowed us a late check out.
Nothing to complain.
Location was perfect
Breakfast, room service too slow
Excellent location to major attractions in Midtown Manhattan. Hotel staff helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Room was quiet.
Need to ask for room on 5th floor or higher to get any type of view. Continental breakfast was adequate, but we chose to eat at restaurants close-at-hand for better selections.
(1) Stayed there for 10 nights and everyday the staff would leave our room spotless clean, thumbs up!; (2) Impressed by the good quality of the WiFi; (3) Location is truly excellent, just 10 min walking from Empire State. And the area is filled with lots of nice places (e.g. Spoon & Fork) where you can have a good breakfast bite.
(1) Several times our room cards wouldn't work and we had to go downstairs every time and have our cards replaced. Staff didn't seem to be too apologetic about that; (2) The hotel's payment system had some sort of glitch. There were multiple sums being debited or credited off our credit card before the bill got finally settled.
Spacious rooms, very clean and well maintained hotel Excellent staff, best place to stay when in NYC.
Wifi was excellent, breakfast had a good variety but paper plates and plastic knives and forks were not ideal!
Holiday Inn had cancelled our transaction due to a credit card problems. Understandable that they would have to cancel if there was an issue with card, BUT no one contacted me so I cud rectify the problem. Turned up in New York City with no booking. Was not impressed. Was told they tried to ring me and THEN told they didn't have my details.
Fanstastic, Friendly, Helpful Staff, Comfortable Bedrooms with huge beds (we booked a KingSize), Fantastic Location.
Breakfast area far too small and breakfast unappealing, but there are so many alternatives within walking distance so recommend you go out.
We ordered and payed for a room with a view. But did not get it. When we asked, they said that they could not guarantee the view or control if other guests stayed longer than expected. I found this incredible bad and arrogant service.
We really liked the location of this hotel, it is within easy walking distance of many attractions. Our room was very clean and quiet for such a busy city, and was excellent value for money. The staff were very helpful and the complimentary breakfast was very good.
The room was on the small side, but was fine for us. Typical of New York I imagine.
could walk to Times Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, key attractions yet away from the hustle bustle. Continental breakfast included.
Hotel on a perfect location, near empire state building, grand central. It is clean, rooms not very big, but well furnished, and pretty quiet.
When you book the room they offer you an option for a kingbed, or 2 double beds. However this option is fake, in reality the hotel make you pay USD 40 per night extra for 2 double beds.
- The bed was super comfortable - Friendly staff
- False fire alarm at 3 a.m. that freak me out - No friedge - No bathrobe
Great staff, complimentary breakfast, superbly clean and modern room with virtually no signs of wear and tear and excellent wifi. Great location too.
We had a 6th floor room at the back of the hotel and the large complex of external airconditioning ducts and fans down below us were quite noisy even with double glazing.
Room was clean and bed was very comfortable.
3 rooms were booked with King size beds. Only 2 were available and teh 3rd was one with 2 beds. we were not advised on arrival. We were also told that the hotel was totally booked and no king bed was availabe. This was very disappointing.
I booked & paid for double king room for two nights. When I reached they said the room is unavailable & gave me one king bed room with the original price. That was very bad and an act of fraud. The hotel exclaimed that it's booking.com problem not theirs but it was me who paid the price.
just two blocks away from work
Pillows can be fluffier and softer
Staff service was terrible, so unkind and rude.
