Overall it was a good place to hunker down for a night instead of riding further up the Gorge on my Harley on a windy, rainy night.
Entrance under construction was hard to find after dark. Also, I cringe whenever I have to pay more than $100 for a night's stay.
Helpful Staff & Location
Location, breakfast, helpful staff.
My grandson left his laptop there, and they had kept it safe, and written us a letter incase we didn't contact them.
It was bright, cheery, comfortable and the staff were excellent. It was very clean!
Breakfast was a little dull - eggs every day cooked basically the same way. Ok for price though.
They said it had been remodeled last year, so the rooms were nice. I hate paying a lot of money for an old, poorly maintained room. The full breakfast was good. Check-out time is 1 p.m.
The fire alarm wouldn't go off after 2 showers..it was the worst possible sound ever. Not at all relaxing. Other than that..not a bad stay.
Very nice facilities and great staff! It was 3 min drive from McMenamin's Edgefield (highly recommended as an outing!) The room was very quiet despite being fairly near the highway. The location was across the highway from most of Troutdale but this wasn't a problem at all.
Location was great for what we were going to do
The bathroom was very small
Clean, quiet, well-kept, great breakfast
Rooms are much much smaller then depicted on internet site.
Convenient location with food options nearby, great breakfast, very clean, friendly, very comfortable beds.
Wifi had trouble connecting at times. Directly adjacent is a small airport or flight school with small planes/helicopters coming in and out.
I was surprised, the entire hotel was booked with guests from a nearby concert we went to. I assumed since every room had a guest it would be reasonably noisy but it wasn't! We didn't hear a peep. My friend and I slept comfortably and the breakfast was delicious! The pillows are also amazing! It felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves and the staff was very accommodating.
For some odd reason there was a little pile of dirt under one of our pillows. Also the picture is misleading on the website because you assume there is an indoor pool, so that was a little disappointing, but the hot tub was nice.
great location. about 18miles from downtown Portland (mass transport bus #77 to 82nd and Jonesmore switch to the MAX train to points downtown..It's worth investing the hour to travel downtown due to traffic and parking costs.call 503 238 RIDE during business hours to get a live person to tell you how to use the system..Even though the Inn is next to a local airport, you cant hear the helicopters and the small airplanes if your room is on the west side...just turn your room ventilator on! Very clean...excellent housekeeping staff, which totally makes any stay worthwhile, good breakfast in the am and soup and cookies in the evening. Accommodating front desk staff as well..Comfortable beds, good water pressure and shower head, HD flat screen with decent channels Small workout room but very adequate for my needs and a small hot tub adjacent to the property in case your bones ache...Solid 3 star maybe 3.5.
One major drawback that would take an investment for certain by the property ownership..........is the naturally slamming doors to each room. It really is an alarm clock for those who wish to sleep late but are easily shaken from the loud closing doors.. possible fix could be to install a governor at the top of each guest door.
Easy to get to from freeway, friendly staff. Everything was provided, breakfast was very good.
clean breakfast great.
Our internet booking was unavailable to the hotel when checking in, but we got a room to s slightly higher price.
Large clean room. Excellent breakfast. Overall just a great cour night stay.
Very little not to like. Location is near a one-way street that makes it a little difficult in travel to the east or south, but that is a very minor problem.
The staff was very helpful and friendly
Not too huge, and located on the east side of Portland, so not in the middle of traffic and crowds. The hotel was clean and personalble, with a nice breakfasst.
This hotel was built by a different chain and then later bought by Comfort Inns. It's really good for what it is, but not quite up to the standards of properties that Comfort Inn builds from the ground up.
