Very good,

“ The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not find one person from the housekeeping to front desk to the shuttle drivers that were not courteous and willing to help out with any questions or concerns. The hotel was clean. ”

Staff was excellent, very helpful!. Can't go wrong with free breakfast. Computer usage and printing of documents was free and hasslefree. Another bonus! Parking wasn't free, but it was half of what I'm used to paying. Bathroom was teeny tiny. Just big enough for one person. Lack of ventilation fan was disconcerting. Elevators were SLOOOOWWWWW. Annoyingly slow. To make matters worse, there is no convenient stairwell that isn't alarmed so when you are on the 2nd floor, there is no other option to go down a floor without waiting for the elevator. LAME.

I liked the fact that it was a city-feeling hotel, old school with modern touches. The hotel was on the hilly part of downtown San Diego, overlooking the City itself with a distant view of the Harbor; along with a walkway extending outward with table and chairs for outside sitting to catch the incredible breeze. I liked the personal touch of a "sail boat" greeting card, which everyone signed, placed in the hotel room. The location was outside downtown San Diego, on a hill that was very steep (not good for older/eldery individuals), also in an area that was a bit downtrotten. However, this was part of its charm as well. Best for business travelers and people passing through.

The hotel was close to everything and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Trish should get a mention. Nick was great on our final night there too but there were so many others. I can't say anything nasty here

I liked that the hotel didn't look at me weird when me and my partner asked for a one bed room! I didn't like to have to pay for parking that should be covered in the hotel room

The hotel was located near the Gaslamp Quarter which was the main reason for staying there. The walk to and from was short and very enjoyable. The room was located on the street side and a bit noisy from city traffic. But the room was excellent and clean.

Location was good, walking distance from the Gaslamp district. Windows let a lot of noise in from outside, including voices. Bathroom was worn out. The hotel included a charge of $1 in my bill for usage of safe in my room, which had not happened. They removed it after my request, but just the fact they've done without asking is not a practice you'd expect from someone serious.

The staff is oustanding and always willing to help. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The courtesy van to pick up and return to the airport is a plus. The hotel's location for whatever you want to do in San Diego is perfect, especially for Balboa Park. Nothing.

This was my 18th hotel in 30 days and was the best. The gaslight district is a short walk and there is heaps to do in the area. The staff went out of there way to advise on things to do. Special pat on the back to Jen who obviously takes much pride in the hotel, doing her job well and making sure all visitors are happy. The taxi stand is at the hotel. There was always a cab there if it was needed. Complimentary shuttle is also available at all times. There was nothing I didn't like. It was a great stay.

Breakfast was great Staff was not friendly. I asked if they would mail my already stamped postcards, they said no. I asked for cart to bring luggage up from garage, they said we have none available. We paid $16 to park where we had to walk up with luggage over and over.
