Friendly staff. Proximity to the Wharf & attractions was excellent. Breakfast was good. Hotel in general was very clean. Room was very quiet.
I thought the rate per night was a little pricy for a Holiday Inn, but I guess this is what to expect in this location.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us. We liked it and we had great experience.
I think they charge too much for parking, which they should consider their rule of 12hours parking for less cost than charging 24hours fee for a 12 hours parking.
Easy walking distance from all the main attractions. Good hot breakfast. Comfortable, clean rooms.
Please note that there is no self-parking for this hotel. Parking is via valet only and costs $45 for a day (on top of the room rate). So, you will need to factor that into your budget if you are considering this hotel. This rate is similar to what other hotels in the same area charge - so it's *not* like Holiday Inn Express is gouging customers.

Close to fishermans wharf
Beds were poor. Place was not clean. Bathroom had a sewer smell. Breakfast was on paper plates. Elevators did not work well. It is a cheap hotel.
Location bed cleanliness

The room and bathroom were kept extremely clean and the location was perfect for sight- seeing. Pier 39 with the seals was easily reached and the street car to travel downtown was within easy walking distance. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby. Unlike some reviewers I found breakfast good and always got a table without any trouble.
There was no one outside the hotel to help with the luggage and I unfortunately had three heavy cases which I took inside myself and which I heaved over into the elevator as no one at the reception desk told me I could get a cart in the lobby. Luckily there were very nice guests who helped me with my luggage. The plastic cutlery, especially the knife, made cutting food a bit difficult.
The price of the room for 2 nights and the quality of the establishment was great!! The location was beyond what we had imagined as well.
The breakfast items ran out fast and very limited hot items.

Parking $45.00 overnight A hot flat iron I accidentally left in the room and discovered when I arrived home and called the hotel, I was told it was not found in the room!
Concierge Jesse was especially helpful. I appreciated his knowledge and enthusiasm ie. sense of humor with guests, he obviously enjoys his job. Thank you
Flow at breakfast kind of confusing with many people doubling back but i understand space restrictions.
Staff was great!
Would have liked coffee in the lobby area. The coffee machines in the rooms are not very good. Towels are too thin.
From the moment we walked on the staff were more than helpful and happy to do whatever we needed. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was perfect for my needs & close to a drug store, fisherman's wharf and other places of interest.
