Built in the 1800s, this boutique hotel is in a downtown location in Boston’s historic Bulfinch Triangle. Contemporary rooms provide flat-screen TVs and there is an on-site option at Finch Restaurant....
Score from 280 reviews Very good
Denzel front desk staff great he checked us in early our room was ready. Very nice staff even breakfast attendant.
Lots of bars nearby for the single traveller
Very convenient to the Garden, North End and Haymarket.
Very slow check in - room was not ready and waited 45mins. lots of bars and nightlife around so it was very noisey
very friendly staff, really helpful and proactive welcome message on the notepad in the room, from "Esperanza" close to public transport (North Station) and to trolley route
colour of the walls in the aisles gryish- yellow, sad
This is a party hotel. Fun, raucous, adventurous.
If looking for relaxation and peace, find somewhere else
This hotel was ideally situated for our needs, very comfortable. The staff were brilliant and the breakfast was equally very good.
I just must point out that when I booked I was expecting to pay on arrival, however they charged me, thus incurring a late fee, interest and sterling conversion on my credit card which when I had booked for four of us was quite a bit extra. Naughty when they say in all probability it is free cancellation and you will pay on arrival. Other than that vey very good.
Buffet breakfast included in price - unpretentious and quick - ideal for fast get out for sightseeing! Free Wifi - no bull.... great for planning and communication. Good spacious bathrooms.
Minor point - corridor decor is a little tired but the rooms are fine.
Nothing. Very run down area and very run down hotel, so unlike the Holiday Inn Express company.
The carpets were all fraying at the seams, and the decor was very drab. The breakfast was ok, but it finished dead on 9.30am with nothing left. The view from our bedroom was a dilapidated brick wall with rusty scaffolding. The title of the Holiday Inn Express Boston Garden would have indicated it was surrounded by Gardens to normal travellers, but the Garden was an Arena for Ice Hockey fans and when we arrived by taxi at 11.30 pm we couldn't believe that this was a holiday Inn Express, it resembled a hostel for drop outs.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast although in a small area was well organised and had several choices - all we needed. The hotel was opposite the tourist bus stop, the train station and near some shops and restaurants
The view from the room but we had asked for a quiet room so were given one at the back. Preferred that to a room with a view but facing the street.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was our first trip to Boston with our teenage children. The staff were wonderful to us.
Dimly lit hallways, very loud guests at very late hours made it hard to sleep. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and there was also a small kitchen. Breakfast was rich and delicious! The hotel is close to North Station, so you can easily reach any point in and out of Boston. I would definitely recommend it!
My family and I read lots about the review prior to our reservation, it went beyond our Expectations especially we had a good and cooling airconditional in our room and good breakfast provided by the hotel. Never forget about the friendliness of all hotel staff who are very helpful in meeting our need. A very special thanks and appreciation to hotel staff who called us when we left our luggages on the street which the driver who picked us up from hotel has forgotten to load into the vehicle. Thank you very much and you made us feel at home! Vince & family from Singapore.
Maybe we will return to this hotel in the near future with a improved price ;-)
Perfect location for TD Gardens event.
WiFi was terrible and don't like plastic cups to drink from and to pay 400. a night you expect better.
Staff was attentive, caring, and polite.
Room HVC was a little noisy.
Very helpful. Well situated for tourists.
We were on 5th floor and the corridors smelt bad.
the bathroom and bed were clean
the location was scary and the room was dismal.
Central Location ideal for sightseeing and travel to airport
Room too small, unable to empty suitcases. Lack of hangers and drawer space
Close to towncenter and airport
The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The bathroom had enough room with the proper amenities anyone would need. The wifi was fast and had a strong signal.
It was very noisy and there was considerable street noise all night. Perhaps newer windows would keep the sound away.
quiet and clean rooms, nice staff
the area (north station) is quite ugly. Drug addicts hang around in front of the hotel. I would not dare to leave the hotel at night.
The breakfast was outstanding even though you eat in disposables. The young serving us was brilliant.
It's a bit musty and old even though they have revamped it
Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for sightseeing.
location, wi fi
lobby, parking ($40/day), cleanliness was poor
