The room: very clean, well equipped, very comfortable bed, very quiet despite facing the 101 (windows must be of excellent quality!). Pool looks nice (we did not use it), pretty noisy though since it is on the 101 side. The breakfast: not enticing at all, even the bread tasted bad... Unless you like oversweetened sticky pastries, already made omelets and miniature beef patties waiting in a plastic cupboard, you'd better skip the breakfast and find a better one elsewhere in Carpinteria or Santa Barbara (easy!). Cafeteria atmosphere does not match the standing of the room at all. |

The only problem was the bad communication between bookings.com and Holiday Inn Express. The reservation sent by bookings.com to the hotel did not match the dates that I had reserved. Fortunately the guy at the front desk gave me a room even if the reservation he received from bookings.com was incorrect. |

I arrived early and the nice woman checked me in early. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The continental breakfast is always a nice bonus. The only thing wrong with the room was that the door frame was out of alignment and you could see out through the 1/4 inch crack at the bottom of the door and frame. |

very disappointing that when I checked in, the hotel tried to charge me a $22.00/night higher rate than I was guaranteed by bookings.com. Only when I showed them the confirmation email did they reduce the rate with no appology for the mistake. |

the hotel was clean and roomy, the continental breakfast was good, except the coffee was awful. Overall we would recommend this hotel to friends and stay here again The coffee and the dining area was a bit cramped |

nice bed. clean and nice bathroom. Ok hotel. Nice for the price. Not that far from santa barbara, but it wasn´t near of the main attractions. No place to eat near to, just a market (Albertsons). |

Am Zimmer kann man nichts beanstanden. Zimmer war sauber, komfortabel, relativ gross und ruhig. Flachbildschirm-Fernseher, WiFi. Frühstück typisch amerikanisch (schmales Angebot: Bagel, Cornflakes, Obst etc.), aber im Vergleich zu anderen Mittelklassehotels eher etwas besser. Kostenlose Parkplätze. Highway ist um die Ecke, ca. 15 Min. Autofahrt bis Santa Barbara. Unser Hauptziel war Santa Barbara, es war aber völlig ok für eine Nacht in Carpientera zu übernachten, da es mit dem Auto nicht weit ist. Personal war beim Check-In etwas kurz angebunden, aber Freundlichkeit des Personals war uns nicht wichtig. Die Lage kann ich nicht beurteilen, da wir nur eine Nacht da waren. Mir schien aber, dass drumherum nicht so viel los ist (keine Innenstadt-/Restaurantgegend). |

Frühstück war gut (2xMüsli, 2xToast, Muffins, Käse, Marmelade, Butter, Obst etc.), Bedienung beim Frühstück unheimlich freundlich und hilfsbereit, Restaurant beim Hotel ist vielleicht etwas teurer, aber sensationall gut Preise sind in der Gegend doch etwas überteuert |

Holiday Inn i Capiteria er et ok mellomklassehotell, antakelig bygget på 60-tallet. Det kunne nok vært noe oppusset, men rommet var romslig, badet fint, sengen bra, og det ble servert en enkel buffet-frokost. Stedet har et lite svømmebasseng. I resepsjonen er det to PC-er. Til stranden er det antakelig ca 15 min; til sentrum ca 10. Santa Barbara er ca 13 miles unna. |
