Location, it is very closed to train station and several good places to visit.
Small room, dirty air conditioner and crowded breakfast.
Place of hotel good. You can have free coffee at the lobby any time. Also , free tea at the room. Fast elevators , helpful service , working tv , a/c and wi-fi, nice shower are o.k.
Breakfast area is crowded and may be difficult to find a table between 09:00-10:00 a.m.
position and facilities
The spa was amazing
The room was small
Comfartable, quiet, location
we wish a high level
Terence at Front Desk was great!!! Very friendly, ready & willing to answer questions. Made a difference!!!!
Clean and close to the action of the city
The hotel was in walking distance to two subway lines which made getting around New York easier. The complimentary breakfast was fine, though a little repetitive. The staff were polite and the breakfast staff were very friendly.
The Internet was very patchy. The room was a little tight, but adequate. Take a power board with you, as there were few accessible power points in the room to charge electronics. Not keen on the disposable crockery and cutlery at breakfast.
It was a good location, a bit of a trek to Times Square but not bad given the price. The pancake machine at breakfast was the best but it's sad that's all we enjoyed.
So much just soured our stay, the room was just way too small for 2 double beds, there was nowhere to put the suitcases and no room to move past each other. The bath wasn't even the size of a bath and after a long day in the cold it teased us mercilessly with the promise of a relaxing soak, only to be unable to fit in it. The breakfast room is far too small for this size of hotel and the queues were ridiculous. I HATED the paper plates and plastic cutlery, just felt so rushed, not a pleasant start to our day, breakfast in NYC should be something special. The reception staff were always busy and had no time to spend with us, plus the front desk is way too high, such a divide was quite off putting. All in all, would not return to this hotel, would pay a bit more to feel welcomed, valued and have a good experience.
Easy access to Penn Station and surrounding tourist sights.
Breakfast area very small and squashed for number of people at hotel during this time. It was difficult to get a free table for 3 people.
It was my first time staying at this hotel and I really like it. It was a very good experience, very good location and very clean too! I do recommend this hotel to anybody.
The only thing I didn't like very much was the little space where we would have breakfast. It gets crowded very easily. However this was not a turn down, it's totally understandable when you realize you are in Manhattan. Knowing that, the hotel had trays that guests could fil it with their breakfast and eat at their rooms. That was really nice!
Staff very helpful. Rooms just fine. Everything worked and was clean.
If booked at a reasonable price this hotel is perfect. You are right in the middle of all wonderful things to do in New York. Breakfast is great, but be early it gets crowded...
You could hear through the walls very clearly. Didn't prevent me from sleeping however
The beds are really comfortable and there breakfast in the morning are good.
I got the room with the jacuzzi and when I first turned on the tub and let the water fill up I noticed there was a dirt ring around the tub. I called it in and recleaned the tub.
Pleasantly surprised as we went on other guests reviews. Very clean. Staff more than helpful. Minor plumbing issue. We told the front desk. By the time we went up to our room maintenance was already there. Will stay there again. Love we could walk from Penn Station.
Nothing negative with our stay
For the price we paid (about $100/night), it was an excellent place to stay.
The only negative I can think of, is that it gets REALLY crowded for breakfast.
The clealiness The staff was welcoming The breakfast was served on time.
Not having a small fridge in the room. The heat system was noisy
cant beat it for location! and as it is on a quieter side street youre not kept awake by traffic noise. the breakfast is ace :)
very basic for the money but perfectly clean and tidy
Quiet location, close to subway, nice food shop nearby, breakfast included (although we didn't like it). In the breakfast area you may have hot water/tea/coffee all day long.
Very small breakfast area, always overcrowded, people are standing around waiting for free table. Indeed the eating space must be at least twice larger. No fresh vegetable, quite disappointing for vegetarian or people on a diet. Mostly bread, buns which we did not like. We wanted two separate beds and put a mark in corresponding field on booking.com. When we arrived they told us that they had only rooms with a single bed and that we had not mentioned it in our booking. So if you want two beds make this note in request field. Be careful! You may be called on behalf of reception asking for your credit card number. It's a fraud. In the hotel there are multiple advertisements that hotel stuff will not call you asking about credit card.
The breakfast & of course, location. I studied and worked in NYC for over 10 years.
The cleaning. Bed sheets were not changed during a whole week. This was the first time I experienced this in over 65 countries.
Proximity to Penn Station, free breakfast and wifi, reasonable prices, spa bathtub and comfy King-sized bed and pillows.
No early check-in, bathtub in the middle of the room, 300 dollar increase from a regular night to NYE night. Greedy.
The location is convenient and not at a to noisy street. The room at 4th floor was without the usual sounds from the streets and guests in a busy NYC hotel. The outdoor area is probably nice in another season. Bathrooms alright and plenty of hot water. Free coffee was great on a winter day.. breakfast substantial enough.
Breakfast area was overcrowded almost chaotic and featured long lines of confused guest; a very international crowd with different ways to approach a line... I was stuck behind a very polite couple who never moved forward and finally decided to approach the line with less cultivation myself; Now I can tell the coffee was good. (If you find some corpses there it's possibly them ;-D)
TV in one room couldn't pick up all stations. Wifi worked for some in party and not others.
The convenience and good standard of facilities and helpful staff
the exorbitant price for basic small room
