Well locate for my needs in midtown
The room was clean and the staff (except for the breakfast ladies) was friendly and helpful.
Level C is for "Cave." Our floor was below ground with one window from a light well and pretty low ceilings. The room was too small for two double beds and the bathroom was pretty cramped too. We could hear the cleaning staff getting ready and moving around in the morning and the doors are loud. Our daughter loves staying in hotels, but after this one she decided she didn't like hotels as much. Centrally located, but not in the best neighborhood. Restaurant selection wasn't great. Definitely not what we would pay for that kind of room, but maybe it's NY prices. The breakfast is what you'd find at other HIE hotels.
Close to Penn Station
Expensive, but it's NYC
Very quite and comfortable, very good choice for breakfast. very pleased with location just off 7th Avenue. Would certainly recommend.
Not a lot of space for 4 adults with big travel bags !
Excellent location very near to penn station. Times sq and Empire state within walking distance
Lots of building works noise but likely just temporary
Lots of variety at breakfast but quality was poor compared to other hotels.
These days $350 a night, with a full breakfast included is a bargain in Manhattan. I've stayed in many hotels in this price range and the Holiday Inn Express is the best so far. The king room was small but well appointed. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Penn Station is three blocks, Times Square 10 blocks. We had a blast going uptown and downtown from this central location.
Realistically, for $350 in Manhattan it would be unfair to dislike something that I'd have at the W ($700) or Marriott Marquis ($650). Don't get me wrong, I love the W and Marriot Marquis but they are twice the money.
Great location and helpful staff.
Breakfast was great Patio was always clean Staff helpful and friendly
I used the stirrers out of the coffee condiments and they were never replaced the entire stay
Breakfast was very rich and good
Our matress was worn out
price clean staff location
Cleanliness and location and the free breakfast
that our room is at the very bottom floor
The location was close to Penn Station, subway and hop off hop in tour bus. Close to all transport. Having breakfast available gave a great start to the day.
Location ease of getting around. Feeling of safety.
Streets very dusty compared to up town
Not far from penn station, hot breakfast included was amazing, was able to leave my bags there while I did shopping in the city. Very good experience!
Very clean! Great breakfast! Pleasant staff!
Could not stay longer.
Location was great. Staff was nice free breakfast 24 hour coffee and tea.
Location near Penn Station. Able to take breakfast outside. Staff friendly and helpful. Room well supplied.
Room very small but this is NY. Wardrobe very difficult to use. Breakfast room VERY crowded and with queues. Only saved by being able to take it outside.
Clean, friendly, close to Metro. Many points of interest in walking distance. Reasonable overnight parking fee in vicinity.
Breakfast space very crowded. Noisy street at nighttime (litter removal, construction work).
Just one block from METRO 1, 28th St station. Walikng distance from Penn station. Easy access.
Breakfast place is too small, too many people try to eat breakfast at once, it is difficult to find sheet in the peek time.
THE BED BUGS GLOBALLY THIS HOTEL IS NOT CLEAN
We had a great time.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious.
The elevator was very slow and we had to share the elevator with the staff.
There was no refrigerator in the room. And the room was pretty small.
