After checking in we headed for the elevators which means turning down a hallway which passes Damonds restaurant. The carpet was packed with dried up mud and dirt and rip. Wasn't t my ideal of an entrance to a restaurant. In the elevator it smelled like hydraulics better yet burning rubber tires. THe room had no heat and while inspection the room and bed I seen something on a pillow. I pulled down the pillow case and found a huge stain as big as 2 mens fist of either BLOOD or VOMIT. wanted to throw up. Took it to check in counter all they said was sorry about that and will get us another pillow. Told them we had no heat in our room. They said yes that they have turned off the air but hadn't turned on the heat yet. They offered us a SPACE HEATER. But the man said not to plug it into same socket as TV it may blow. The TV was plugged into a portable multi-pluggin. Went to the rest room before we left so room could get warmed up and the toilet paper holder fell out of cabinet. It was cold that day I reach for Kleenexes and only 6 were left in the carton. When we came back the floor smelt like skunk but the hallway was warm ( to bad our room doesn't have any heat) of yea we have a space heater. Located the remote for the TV and it was held by cardboard and 2 pieces of electrical tape. We tried to locate another hotel to stay at but all was book in the area we needed. We had no choice but to stay there but never again. I want our $100 back. The place is a dump and the people need classes in customer service.Never recommend this hotel.
Location, quiet, clean and spaceous room. Good price. Downtown is few minutes only. Many diner / restaurants nearby.
Breakfast is poor, excercise room is a treadmill only.
Nice size king room with desk, comfortable chair/ottoman, TV.
No fridge or microwave. Room not cleaned Saturday 9/13, no clean towels. Room was chilly to cold the two nights, heater did not warm room, blew out cool air.
The pool, was closed and far away, the laundry also, people were smoking by the dozen outside, and all that smoke will come in the building and elevator. The breakfast milk was spoiled, and not on ice.
Location was excellent, only a short walk to train station. Food and pricing in the bar downstairs was very good. Staff were polite and helpful.
The breakfast (at a surcharge and not included in room rate) was a little disappointing. No in room refrigeration for my medication, although the staff at front desk were happy to hold it in a private fridge for me.
spending hard earned money on a hotel that needs to be torn down
The staff was accommodating and took care of our needs and concerns
Even though it's out of the facilities hands. There were people outside revving their motorcycles early in the morning, which awakened us.
very good access to interstate travel good location from downtown lots of choices to eat out nearby
other party traveling with us did not have all the same conveniences in their room
Most of the staff was very polite and for the most part welcoming. Especially the woman host in concession of the continental breakfast.
I didn't like the fact that a whole entrance was congested with smokers right by the door including staff. At any time of the day it was nothing to see a whole pile up of them. For a non smoker with 14 month old son it just wasnt worth the price when there were more hotels close by asking similar price. I would suggest posting signs to push the smoking range further back from the facility.
proximity to highway was good.
Plumbing problems / toilet over flowed and shower wouldn't drain.
No air con so room was hot and stuffy unable to sleep or relax
The Damon's restaurant inside.
Easy to get to. Staff friendly and professional. Close to state fairgrounds. Especially fond of lady in restaurant for breakfast. So pleasant to talk to. Will stay again next year most likely.
I was very disappointed with Damon's restaurant. I have eaten at a few and always found them very good. They did not have any steaks. In fact there were like three of the items from the menu that they did not have for dinner. Husbands dinner was tough and not very flavorful. I had ribs and chicken. Meat was tough but I did not like the sides so I ate the meat. We will eat elsewhere next time.
We were in a room on the side that faces I-70 and hear traffic all night. The pool wasnt inviting and the hot tub was closed. Would have been more impressed with better amentities during our stay.
For starters, the website lead me to believe we would have a nice breakfast in the restuarant on location included with stay. They failed to mention it was a continental breakfast if that! Warm milk, no orange juice, very little choice of food. The bed was hard, found a blood stain on our sheet, and the shower was terrible. A simple replacement shower head would be suffient. We have stayed in much nicer and more comfortable places for less money than I spent that night! I understand certain things are to be expected in an older hotel, but those things I have mentioned could be taken care of. Upon checkin, they changed my room quoting "going to upgrade your room". I would have hated to stay in the first room if ours was this bad. I believe this was our first time in a ramada inn and probably be our last.
Absolutely nothing!! Disgusting!
Bugs in room and very filthy I was afraid to sleep or shower! Dangerous location, people hanging outside our room all hours, smoking and partying. For $100 a night you would never expect these things- and all though they advertised it - the pool and exercise room were unusable - would never stay there again!
The room was very nice.
There was no stationery or local telephone directory in the room. The local newspaper was not provided for the guests. I had to go to the corner gas station to get a news paper. Advertising a free breakfast is a bit misleading. You should advertise a free "continental breakfast" not a free breakfast. I was expecting a hot meal as were some other guests that I noticed. In my opinion, this hotel did not live up to Ramada Inn standards.
It was very close to IMS. Staff were very courteous. Breakfast was decent. To all the people that are saying negative things about the location, it is not bad at all that is if you are not racist.
Nothing we have a good stay in this hotel.
I didn't like anything about this hotel
restaurant was great
lack of non smoking rooms available, as we have requested.
great desk staff
need a refresh
homeless thugs roaming around carpet dirty, felt unsafe
