Bed was really comfortable
Room way to small...maybe I got a small room compare to others
It was a very good deal for us. I recommend the place, if you pay less than 90 per night.
Another guest left a room-service tray (with food in the plates) in the hall and stay there for hours and hours...
The beds were extremely comfortable. I slept most of my trip. All appliances were easy to use and find.
The front desk staff weren't as nice as I would have liked.
The housekeepers were helpful
Front desk won't even look at us as we approached. Like we were bothering him while he was working on the computer. I also called at night and asked why the wi if was slow. Response was "I don't know. Wi fi is fine down here at the lobby." Not very helpful.
nice and clean rooms, comfortable beds
you needed a credit card and couldn't use cash for deposit, I had to call a friend to come help, if I was out of town I wouldn't have been able to stay and wouldn't have anywhere to sleep that night
Whenever we stay in Irvine area, we think about the Holiday Express. Our stays are always enjoyable.
Its like a five star hotel with very good value for your money. So clean and with friendly staffs. Location is great whether you're going to go shopping or just go to the beach. Very nice place.I love the breakfast buffet.
The maids were rude and inconsistent ; walking Into room early one morning, flipping on lights, and waking up sleepers. Next day not making up room until 5:00 in the way when we returned needing to get ready for evening. Refused extra towels .
This is my first time staying at a hi in many, many years and was quite impressed. Nice, updated, reasonably-sized room with "fridge" and microwave with good value, particularly when purchasing the "buy now, no refund" option. Doesn't work for all but it did me. Well trained staff except for one.
Each of the staff was professional and courteous (although one gent didn't know how to sign me up for the hi rewards program). However, the woman at the desk when I checked out was rude...as if I was bothering her and she was doing me a favor. Bad attitude, without a word from her. I believe her name was Marguerite. Please, train her or fire her as the last impression is also lasting...
They didn't give me my full deposit back. It's not about the money, it's about the integrity of the company.
The hotel itself was nice, our room was great.
Upon checking in, on the paperwork it said if you have a pet you could be subject to a $250 fine. I let the front desk attendant know that we do have a dog and that when we were booking the room, it said nowhere that pets were not allowed. She said that we could put down a $250 deposit during our stay that would be refunded if there was not any damage or extra clean up from our dog. We checked in to our room then at about 11:00pm as we had just gotten in bed and settled for the night (we had driven all the way from Utah and were exhausted) we received a phone call from the general manager telling us in very unapologetic terms that we needed to leave the hotel immediately because we had a dog with us and in her hotel that was not okay. I let her know that we had put a deposit down and the front desk said it was okay and she let me know that they were going to fire their front desk employee and that she "owned" the hotel. My husband took the phone and told her that we were not leaving. We had no where to go, we were exhausted, and the front desk had already said we could stay. Instead of being apologetic for their mistake in misinforming us, she said that she was going to call the deputy to help us vacate the premises then she hung up on us. I couldn't believe the unprofessionalism on many levels. Sure enough the deputy came and after we explained the situation he said we needed to work it out with someone there. Someone from management was supposed to come up, they didn'T. So, at 11:40pm we started to call around to stay somewhere where we wouldn't be treated so poorly. We were treated like criminals. We packed up our things and fortunately found somewhere to stay that treated us very well. It was an awful experience!
location and the beds are very conforable
to leave so early
-exceptional staff: looked like they were running under staffed, but handled everyone with a smile/friendliness and efficiency -couldn't hear fwy even though the view out the window WAS the fwy so it was QUIET from there :)
-couldn't think of a thing :)
Only one laundry room
