Very close to the bus stop, safe location. I was lucky to have my room on the highest floor of the building. The bed is ridiculously comfortable. I barely could wake up and leave my room. Could rest in the bed all day long. The shower has quick hot water. I didn't bother waiting for hot water.
The price is too high. However, it's not an hotel's fault. Every hotel in downtown KC is overpriced in my opinion. Other than that, the room is quite small. Lack of space was the biggest problem.t
Friendly staff, best hotel shower I've ever had
Champagne they served on entering. Comfy bed. Close to P and L.
Small bathroom. It was a little expensive. 150 one night and 180 the other. Fri and Sat. Not a lot of food or snacks available complimentary like other places.
Nice update of a classic downtown venue.
Ice machine availablity lacking
The building, the decor, the comfortable room (615, a bit small but very charming), sparkling clean everywhere, very warm and helpful staff, lovely balcony bar and lovely restaurant, great location near Power and Light.
The location was very convenient. Beautiful lobby. Staff was very helpful.
Double shower was misleading. Two shower heads right under each other, not on opposite walls in shower like expected. Valet parking only.
staff were a amazing, took me 2 minutes to check in and I had been given a complimentary champagne. nice views from the room too. nice breakfast in the morning and the lady also helped with finding the tourist attractions in the local area. I especially would like to say massive thanks to the check in lady called marla who was kind and very nice, keep up the good work marla. you made it a great place for me to spend the night at. highly recommend this hotel.
- localisation - touch of history - large enough rooms
- no refrigerator - view from the window (no view...)
The modern colors and feel Two different types of pillows on bed Parking garage across the street Access underground from parking garage Location
Spring sticking out of mattress Noise in ventilation system Vending machines only on main floor No pool
The staff was helpful in recommending a local restaurant for dinner before the concert at the Sprint Center as well as providing us with a coupon. Also enjoyed breakfast on them!
Not a thing.
I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. They were very courteous and helpful. The history of the hotel intrigued me. The bed was comfortable and shower was great. The room could have been cleaner. There was a shoe under our bed.. no it was not ours.
The room could have been cleaner. There was a shoe under our bed.. no it was not ours. The bathroom had hair in it, not ours. The coffee pot still had water in it. There was dust on the shelves.
Ambiance; beds incredibly comfortable; décor very art deco; made me feel like I was back in time during Great Gatsby period; Very very cool!! Most of the front desk staff very pleasant; One exceptional room service attendant brought me more than what I asked for. Wonderful young lady.
Parking cost; Young man at front desk next day for checkout. Needs a vacation probably. Clearly does not enjoy his job nor takes pride in what he wears to be a rep for the hotel. May want to rethink his appearance and overall attitude if he is going to work with the public at the front desk.
Location Breakfast Bed
Size of room Quality of room Pillows- horribly fat
Location, old style building.
Really...mold all over the shower!
Location to the Sprint Center
The price for the size of the room. No refrigerator.
It was close to the power and light district
We were in a room right by the elevator. All night we heard the doors opening and closing. I thought I paid way to much for one of the worst rooms. The shower head was broke and wouldn't stay in place. And the shower would leak all over the bathroom floor.
The view was amazing and the room was really neat.
The bed was hard and I could feel the springs. I also found a dried contact on the bathroom counter.
The room was large enough to comfortably accommodate 2 young children. Front desk staff very friendly.
Very small bathroom. Only two very small.trashcans in room. Having to pay for parking every time we left hotel parking lot across the street. Why don't they validate? No late check out option without paying for a half day.
Location. Location. Location.
We could hear guests talking out in the hallway. We could hear guests talking in the next room. A few of the electrical outlets weren't functioning. Outdated equipment in the fitness center. Our room was located next to the stairwell and we heard every time the door leading to it opened and closed. Compared to other hotels we've stayed in, the room was very small. The view of the alley way and roof top unit wasn't pleasant.
Great location in proximity to power and light.
Parking was a little rough, could have spent more on a hotel with own parking garage. Fitness center was poorly maintained.
This is the 2nd stay at this hotel. This stay was just as bad as the first. We wanted to give it a second chance because it was close to the places we were going. The ice maker was broke..again and the ac unit was not working properly ...again. Definately not worth the almost $200 I paid for the room..each time. We will not be back!
Mixture of old and new
