Breakfast Layout of room
The location was easy to find and close to convenience stores and resturants. The hotel is under construction but I did not hear any construction noise. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms a good size. The hotel resturant was good. We had apps and a salad one night and tasted great. The complimentary breakfast was very good, eggs, bacon, sausage, vairety of breads, variety of juices.
The room had new furniture and it was spacious.
Hotel was under a massive remodel!! This was not conveyed in any way when booking. The first room we were sent to was not ready for use. Carpet adhesive on most of the door knobs. The toilet seat had splattered paint and adhesive all over it. Wall paper missing and some was actually coming off the wall. The tles in the shower was missing way too much grout. Obstacle course getting to the room. They were not ready for business?
The room itself was nice and the bed was comfortable.
It felt like we were going through a construction zone just getting to our room - very dusty and unkept. The back doors were opened to allow construction workers to enter, making it a very unsafe place. The price was way too high for the location and current state of being unfinished.
Breakfast buffet - delicious, clean, well stocked. Friendly staff with a warm welcome every morning.
Beds were comfortable. Very nice hotel bar bartender and continental breakfast was fine.
Extensive renovation and construction in hotel should have resulted in discounted rate. Wet towels left on back of bathroom door from previous guests. Loud construction going on at 11:00 at night in hotel lobby while guests were at bar. Front desk people not especially friendly.
Newly refurbished section, nicely done
Bathroom drain was slow; heater would not shut off; hallway rather dark
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely go back. They staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the beds outstanding in both comfort and attractiveness. The bathrooms are well equipped and also attractive. Best place to stay in Kingston. I give this hotel the thumbs up!
newly remodel room
its a small thing but no kleenix in the room
We were able to make a reservation a few days before holiday weekend.
Bathroom ridiculously small and had hole in wall next to sink. No plug easily accessible in room. Room shabby. We had stayed in this hotel several times over past years and it was ok, now has gone seriously downhill.
All the rooms have been renovated. Beautifully clean and comfortable. They had just finished the lobby as well. Pool, hot tub and inner courtyard were just beginning renovation but were still clean and people were using facilities. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
There was no indication of renovations. Initial room already had a guest in it and the staff had no idea the room was occupied. There was no hot water in the shower. We were told to take showers in another room that another guest showered in due to also having no hot water. The wifi was out of range in the room and the tv had very poor reception. We could have stayed at a higher end hotel for the same price in the area.
Easy access to Highways
Out of hundreds of rooms, only 30 have actually been remodeled. Hallways were dirty and old. I would place the value of the room we were given at $80-$100/night instead of the $165 we paid for a room like what was shown in the pictures.
Hotel was being renovated, we were not made aware of this until check in. The main parts were a mess. We were told we had a renovated room. However, the TV did not work, the AC kept making loud noises all night, the electricity went out for a couple of hours. There was also no shower door which made shower somewhat difficult because you had to stay cramped at the far side of the shower to not get the floor wet. The bathroom also did not have an exhaust so the bathroom fogged up immediately. We booked through booking.com, I would not use them again.
not a lot
room was old. Everywhere signs of small damage: floor, wall, wallpaper, ceiling, bath room. Bath room was not clean. This was our worst and our most expensive room in a holiday of several weeks. are the pictures on Booking those of the future, after the renovation plans? We felt cheated.
Still under renovations.
Clean n comfy beds
First floor didnt buffer the noise of ppl in parking lot. We were first room next to exit door
The room and bathroom were newly renovated. Very tastefully done and the beds were so comfortable. The linens fresh and clean, nice pillows. Overall great. The waitress in the on site restaurant was an absolute sweetheart and the young male desk clerk friendly and accommodating.
Location WiFi Beds comfortable
Under construction Key Cards didn't work Dogs in the rooms Dirty carpet
Easy on and off New York Thruway
Where do I begin? We drove up to the hotel and the first thing I noticed from our car were window blinds that were falling off the windows inside the rooms. We entered through a side door to a set of stairs. we opened the door at the top of the stairs to find FILTHY carpets, stained walls and ceilings and pieces of blue tape next to each guest room. My girlfriend joked that the pieces of tape were key to how many bodies were found in each room. We then arrived at our room and carefully opened the door. Once again we were met with FILTHY carpets along with stained curtains and nicked up, stained and broken furniture that had to be there since the 70's. We immediately checked for bed bugs and thankfully found none. HOWEVER (and this is where it gets good) this is a "Pet friendly" hotels. Turns out it is also "flea friendly" as within 15 minutes I have several bites on my ankles. Needless to say we left. We did NOT speak with a manager as we did not care what, if any other room was available. There was NO WAY we were sleeping at this dump. We attempted to find another hotel in the area. Unfortunately everything was sold out. We decided that we would sleep in our car in the parking lot (yes, it was THAT BAD). We woke and entered the flea bag in the morning to simply shower and change our clothes as we were attending an all day wedding. After we attended the wedding we drove 2 1/2 home even though we paid for the night OF the wedding as well. So to sum it up I paid $400+ for a shower and a changing room. DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!!! It is REALLY that bad.
It is close to the main Highways, stores but also quiet.
The room was just ok and I think remodeling would be in order.
Good pool and pay area
They started construction at 7:00am and woke us up. Very loud. I called the front desk and they did not help. I wouldn't stay there again until the construction is done. Breakfast was bad.
The food ( although we missed the salad bar) The Pool The Hot Tub Location Pillows
We needed more electrical outlets We come to this motel every year - in particular for the pool, hot tub and amusement area. Were were very disappointed that the air hockey was not working
Pool area was set up in a fun way.
