    Everything was fine room-wise. And they even had HBO on the TV. So that was nice.

    1) The room I booked was advertised as a double room. I took this to mean it was a suite. Wrong! It means it is a room with two queen beds. That's what most hotels call a room with two queen beds... 2) It's not in the nest neighborhood and they charge you ten bucks to park in the underground garage. I have NEVER paid for parking at a hotel before, and I've stayed at many. True, it's just ten bucks, but its the principle of it, you know?

    Free breakfast

    Only get coffee or juice staff just don't seem to get it when you say no potatoes etc just a waste of good food

    The wifi signal was so poor in my room that I had to contact tech support and eventually I had to go to a McDonalds so I could access my company email and our VPN Network. The toilet in my room kept clouging so I had to go down to the lobby in the middle of the night to use the restroom.

    The staff were fantastic upon arrival particularly Natalie who checked us in. We ate at the restaurant also top quality I would highly recommend the steak it was delicious. Rooms were clean, spacious and with free wifi and air conditioning.

    Air conditioner was a bit loud at night when trying to sleep. Would have been nice to have a luggage stand in the room to put the case on. Only minor issues and hasn't changed my good opinion of the hotel. We would definitely stay again.

    -The staff was GREAT! The room was pretty and clean. I liked the decor. The bed was amazing!!! Parking was easy and safe. We were only there to stay over to leave for beautiful Catalina Island (Highly recommend, Booking.com has great hotels there.) The hotel arranged for a car. Really great stay. I would definitely recommend it and would stay again when traveling to Catalina.

    A young gentlemen Sergio who I believe works the shuttle position was really sweet and kind. He explained to us what to do out here in long beac, what restaurants are good and was really kind and patient with the group I was with. I would deff go back if there really good customer service.

    The wifi service was poor.

    Help and warm welcome from the staff Spacious and comfortable rooms, very well maintained Nice and clean pool (although a little small) and SPA

    Cleaning team schedule having some gaps : the 2 first days, room was not yet ready at 5pm (corrected later upon claim) Lack of a fridge in the room (wood casing still there but no equipment) Restaurant service too much simplistic and sometimes excessively long. No continental breakfast option

    I came to Long Beach from San Diego to take exams at the USCG Regional Examination Center (501 W Ocean). I stayed at this Holiday Inn for four nights during the third week of April. I brought my wife and two small children (4 and 2), who commuted to Disneyland during the days while I was testing. The hotel staff at this location was the best hotel team I had ever seen. Front desk managers Ivan and David were extremely accommodating- and allowed me to use their unoccupied meeting rooms to study. That was EXTREMELY helpful and thanks to both of them, I was able to pass all exams on the first try. The kitchen staff was unbelievable. The food that head chef (Justin- I think) put out was so freakin good. We ended up eating all of our dinners at the hotel lobby. AND the food was very very affordable. AND, kids under 12 eat free. I'll say it again- kids under 12 eat free.. and the plates weren't skimpy either. They were nearly adult-sized portions- and my wife and I found ourselves picking leftovers from the kids' plates after they were full. The courtesy drivers (Tracy and Sergio) were very friendly and efficient- I was never late to any exam. The shuttle vans were free, clean, and large enough to fit groups of 8-10. We also had the chance to meet the hotel GM, James, who was very pleasant and animated. The team absolutely adored him and worked very hard. James' vision for the future of the hotel was very inspiring. Its also good to see that Long Beach, in general, is booming. Its only a matter of time until the immediate area surrounding the hotel has more shops, restaurants and recreation. Bottom line- We didnt know what to expect from this hotel based on the neighborhood and booking.com reviews- but thanks to the hard working team, we were convinced that we did not make a mistake. We will definitely stay at this hotel again during our next visit to Long Beach and recommend it to our friends and family.

    Walking around past dark was not suggested- so plan to use your own vehicle or the courtesy shuttles if you need to get around at night.

    The staff were good and cared.

    That the hotel was under renovations and also no ramp to pull your luggage up. One had to carry them being older makes a big difference.

    we got there early (11:30 am) and the manager on duty pretty much told us that we had to check in until 3 pm, period! so we left and called the phone number listed on the reservation, it turned out I got transfered to a nice lady named Wendy, she was the head of the housekeeping, she took my name and phone number and called me like half hour later to tell me that she had a room ready for us, that was the only nice thing that happen there, will not come back there again. Of course I left a nice tip for the housekeeping and thanked Wendy, she was nicer than the manager on duty....

    the manager on duty was not very polite for that position, he should be doing something else, there was also some kind of remodeling going on, I think people should be aware of all this things before we do the reservations....

    I liked the overall room

    I didn't like the bed it was not comfortable to sleep on.
