Shower head unable to be fixed into bracket. Impossible to wash hair with one hand. Staff must have known of this as the head was lying in the bath. Why were we given this room? One receptionist advised we could store a suit case for 3 days until our return. When an attempt was made, another said this was not possible, since 9/11! 13 years ago! Well yes, OK, but only up until midnight! Madness! Rooms small but adequate only if you have little luggage. Close to subway & souvenir shops. Bar hours irregular, 9:00 pm closure one night after we arrived at 8:30 pm. Ground floor staff extremely courteous & helpful.
The location is great if you want to be be in the lower manhattan area. Soho/Chinatown. 20 minute walk to the WTC. Transit, taxi. Lots if shopping and restaurants. Safe. And mostly - the hotel/room felt very roomy. Not like typical NY hotels in the price range.
Small gym, lack of hotel amenities common to NY in the price range.
We asked for a room with two beds but do to the unavailability of rooms we received a room with two beds on the smoking floor. The room was congested with smoke! The hotel should have been more accommodating!
no parking No free breakfast Very small room at a very expensive price Room is outdated Was place in a smoking room that smell like weed throughout the floor.
Great location, easy accessible and in the middle of Soho.
Old, dirty and trashy interior. Staff was not very well behaved. But for just sleeping and exploring the city this is a great place!
Perhaps the location was ok
Smelly room, loud noise coming from building airco, overall run down look and feel, rude personnel
The location is good if you want SoHo. The beds are fine, and the hotel cleaning staff are well-mannered and courteous. The room itself was clean but the carpetting absolutely stank of a foot-odour-like smell. (Repulsive)
The hotel clerks at front desk are not well-mannered. Asympathetic/nonchalant. The bathroom is from the 80s at best. Old-school tub and curtain, old tiling, no dispensers of shampoo, bodywash, etc. No water bottles in your room. Btw not a cheap stay. Ran me over $700 for 2 nights stay for a standard room with 2 double beds.
There was no hot water for the shower
Location is good. Easy to go everywhere you want to visit in New York. Kindly stuff.
Room is small. Not enough space for opening two 29" luggage.
The value for money is like everyghing in nyc
My room was clean, comfortable, and the bed and pillows were, as usual, for a Holiday Inn, the best. The room was a perfect size for a solo traveler and could see how it could be a tad tight for two. But, when I'm visiting NYC I'm hardly in the room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
I wish the restaurant/ bar opened earlier than 5:30.
The staff was great location was great every thing was great 1 thing I would change is check in time. To late after long flights to New York
Check in time is to late!
The location was very good.
The hotel is very tired! Carpets were dirty looking and old. Room was very small. Bath room was small, used soap was left, used containers were not discarded, no shower gel. The bed and pillows were too soft. I will not return!
Primarily location, great staff, breakfast buffet, comfortable quiet rooms.
The fact that the hotel has been sold and will not be a member of the Holiday-Inn family!
The location is amasing, in the midst of sohl and close to the lower east side. Bery easy to get around,
Problems getting in the room, keys didnt always work and at one point it took over 30 min to let us in oir room.. The staff was not very helpful when this happened.
comfort, room, bathroom, old, needs renovation asap
its not luxury but its a solid second place. It has all you need, decor is a bit dated and dull, but its clean, the staff are excellent and the location is fine, Canal St subway is 2 minutes away.
The security was a little lax, it is possible to come into the first floor foyer, with no hotel key, and there was a strange chap sitting in the their one day and no one asked him to leave

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Strong wifi everywhere in hotel. Good facilities, with very comfortable beds!
It was very expensive to stay there. The breakfast worked out as $50 for 2 persons.
+ locations + staff are very efficients
- Rooms are too small for king size bed - Air condition was very noisy
