Location. Staff was great and very apologetic. King bedrooms nice. (We spent the first night in a room with 2 queen beds- not as spacious.) Everything is new.
Elevators were not working. A member of our party got stuck in the elevator for about 30 minutes. On that day we had to walk down 12 flights in a hot steamy stairwell. Construction noise beginning at 8:30 am. Dust and fumes. Extra small bathrooms.
The elevator was hot, construction was loud. The restroom too small. No mini fridge. Parking was expensive. Way to much money for the room.
price of parking
Location was excellent. Staff was polite and friendly despite many frustrated guests owing to problems caused by renovations (see negatives) Spacious rooms Nice breakfast
Hotel was undergoing major renovations (probably why we got the low room rates) causing many inconveniences, e.g. Different keys for hotel room and elevator, Elevators were very slow & some not working Pool and gym a lot smaller than shown in photos
Bed is comfortable, large room
Brand new completely renovated room. On site parking.
Speed bumps in the parking garage were too thick.
Staff,terribly rude and not supportive
Rooms freshly remodeled and staff was very helpful . Location just steps away from everything .
Parking was little expensive and agents don't inform you of the 35.00 parking fee
The only thing i did not like was that they were renovating and that you had to check in and out on the 10th floor which was horrible when you have a lot of luggage and no carts or bell boys until you go to the 10th floor to check in. We had to unload our truck, i atayed with the luggage at the main entrance while my husband parked the truck, then he had to go upstairs to check in, find a cart/ bell boy, come back down to load the luggage, then go back up.
It was good to sleep in a new room on a new bed
The hotel was under construction. This information could have been revealed to us before we arrived. It was a hassle to register on the 10th floor. The space was small and overcrowded with guests. This made it very uncomfortable. Due to heavy traffic on the 10th floor we could not enjoy the pool as it made us feel as if we were in an aquarium. I doubt if we will return. Overall we did not enjoy the stay at the Wyndam.
Loved location in the heart of the French Quarters, just steps from Bourbon St and Canal St.
Building under construction, but that will pass.
Hard to get around with all of the construction at the hotel.
No air conditioner. Malfunctioning
Not told of construction at time of reservation. Paying to park. Confusing check in. Stifling hot room that took hours to cool off. No staff to help with luggage and only signs to direct.
This hotel has a perfect location, it is in walking distance of everything..especially Bourbon St. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time.
The $50 incidental fee which was never mentioned on the site. We got the money back once we checked out but that is something the hotel should inform you of before booking. Also parking price is rather high at $35 a day.
staff was very nice, great location
needs out door pool, halls were hot
The location was perfect for everything we were in New Orleans for. Easy to get in and out! Close to everything. We will be back!
The location was good, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was large so we didn't feel cramped.
The property was under construction so the check in desk had been temporarily set up on the 10th floor. There was a large tarp blocking off the lobby area on the ground level and during the day there was jack hammering and other construction site noise. There was also construction in the driveway so at all times there was scaffolding and workers to maneuver around. There was a large patch of mold on the ceiling just outside our room and the hallway smelled like a litter box.
Location in the quarter.
It took nearly an hour to check in - some computer error. The elevators were slower than molasses. The security catch was broken. Housekeeping said they would inform maintenance but was still broken when we checked out. We realize that renovations were in process but it was a real inconvenience. Our room had no number on the door. And a room service tray was left in the hall all day.
the check in time, which was at 4pm and check out was 11am for the price should have been able to check in at 12 and out 11
I liked the location and also the staff was very nice. Their resturant had very good food at a reasonable price and the staff there was very good as well.
NOISE! Jack hammers, dust, access to elevator. Very aweful!
The room was clean
The elevators in the garage weren't working so I had to walk down 4 stories. The upon arriving at the front desk they starting using jack hammers on the lobby and they were so loud that you couldn't hear the lady at the front desk so the process to much longer to check into a reserved room. The again the elevators 3 out of 4 weren't working and we had to stand there sweating for 20 minutes to wait for the elevator to come down to the lobby all the while the jack hammer never stopped. Once I was in my room and the had a man on a scaffolding scrapping the paint off of the window of my room for 45 minutes. Would not stay there again.
