Just needed an extra night to stay in because my flight out of San Diego was moved the following day. This hotel seemed to offer best value on the net in its class for the weekend.
Chose this hotel because it seemed to get the best value, given that it provided free Airport Shuttle services. However, disappointed to realize upon check in that the airport shuttle is not 24/7, but has limited schedules. Had to pay extra for cab. I was given a handicap friendly room, which was fairly indicated. Because of this, I was not too comfortable with the bathroom because showering meant the whole bathroom was going to be wet. Bathroom was also dimly lit. The hotel's location is near the airport, but quite far from eating places, unlike hotels like Grand Horton or Hilton Gaslamp where shops/ restaurants are a stone's throw away.
the location is good, close to little Italy. Horton Plaza. beds comfortable. get rooms on higher floors.
no decks, shuttle doesn't start till 6am. pool very dirty, not safe area for walking in evenings, lots of homeless folks about. needs to be repainted.
I like the room it was spacious bed was comfortable an when ever I needed something the staff brought it up right away
I didnt like the dinner selection at the restaurant downstairs and I hated I mean hated the fact that I had to pay 80 bucks for parking for 3 days an there was no other options for parking so I didnt have a choice
The staff made our accommodations as we requested and Felt very welcomed. Not too far from little Italy. Overall I had a great experience:)
The pool was smaller than anticipated, and the bar area did take longer than average waiting time for our food/drinks.
Valet parking attendants were very accomodating-note that public parking does not equate self park. Room amd sheets were clean and we were able to get good rest. Pricing was fair.
The location is a bit off the beaten path for walking and quite close to the freeway. If I were alone (i am female) i would not feel comfortable walking to/from the gas lamp to the hotel.
Valet attendants very nice and professional
Reception was rude. I booked a king room and he said all they had were doubles. On my reservation I had indicated it was going to be a very late check in with estimated time listed. The guy said well this all we have do you want it?
Bed is comfort
no gym and pool too small
How quick valet was
I didn't like that the hotel was hot and smelled bad, the bedding has stains on it, the bathroom was dirty and we reserved a bay view but didn't get it.
The staff was very helpful and genuine! I was pleased with the ease of check-in and being able to check-in early! Also they were able to hold our bags at concierge after we had checked out when we headed out on the town. It is tucked away from the Gaslamp Quarter and the harbor. Walking and cab rides is what we relied on for transportation because we took the train in from Orange County. The staff was very helpful in hailing us a cab and making sure that we knew where we were going!
It was really warm in the middle of the hotel on our floor, where the elevators are. That is my only negative comment!
Nice room with nice view - high floor - food value for money
Location - far away from the embarcadero and shopping area - staff not that friendly (except parking managers)
Great location. Very comfortable rooms. Very clean, modern. Staff gave excellent service
I liked the staff very efficient, friendly and welcoming. The workout rooms and pool were well maintained. The bed was very comfortable.
Because if the shape I the building itself, the rooms very very close together. The pool is next to the fwy and doesn't make for a very quite experience.
Very close to Gas Lamp District if you do not want to spend the money to be in the heart of it. The valet, reception and service staff is very, very friendly.
The hotel is a tiny bit out dated and wish it was a tiny bit closer to the Gas Lamp District. But still a great value.
I literally like nothing about this hotel except for maybe the valet guy. He was the only professional one there.
Night time front desk staff were terrible. Unprofessional, rude, as if we were a complete inconvenience. Both of them looking at my girlfriend and gesturing towards one another. I will go out of my way to make sure nobody I know ever stays there!!!
Enjoyed our stay. Staff very helpful and friendly throughout. Would stay here again
Disrespectful unhelpful staff. And if I needed to call the front desk for assistance? They would of charged me. The only thing free was the horrible wifi that didn't even allow my phone to access internet. Web sight lies. 30$ to park. Horrible pool. Bad location right next to a very loud freeway. Valet only-takes forever to get your car. No views. This hotel was abandoned. It did not seen busy at all. And now I understand, it is devoid of guests for a reason. Did not have a fridge or come with breakfast as was promised when I booked the room.I paid for a higher end suit and somehow got cheated into a lower end suit. They treated me poorly because of my young age. Acting as if I was going to trash this 300$ a night hotel room. They froze money in my account stating it was normal when no other guest had to put up with this outright punishment for, for what? For paying for an overpriced hotel room. I will NEVER come back to this hotel as long as I'm alive, nor will I recommend it. I have never been so poorly treated and judged based on age. Clearly me paying to stay the night does not buy me respect or consideration.
Breakfast included. Rooms are okay
No possibility to get an extra bed - staff isn't very helpful.
Nice view to the bay A request for a small fridge was answerd
No parking near the hotel Parking crevices cost 20 dolar a day and need a 20 minutes notice
I like the hotel ,it's very convenient to all the attractive things in San Diego ,the hotel was nice n clean ,staff r friendly helpfull with a big smile on there faces ,I will go n stay there again ,
The beds were incredibly comfy. The rooms and lobby were fresh, clean, and recently renovated. Close to downtown, but not too loud. It's about a 10 minute walk to the trolley
The toilet rarely flushed. The breakfast was good but carb heavy.
Rachel was awesome. Handled out concerns and then followed up to make sure we were taken care of!
Breakfast was weak. No lock on bathroom door. That bathroom door was a sliding barn door style and you could see into the bathroom through the crack! No vent fan in the bathroom.
I liked that they offered complimentary breakfast since they were renovating their restaurant.
The bed was horrible. It was too soft and killed my back. This was the only hotel I've stayed in where I hated the bed.
I love the walking distance to the little Italy , the acomodations were excelent, clean, very comfortable beds and the staff very helpful and nice .
