I'm used to getting only what I pay for but, in this case, I don't reckon its a worthwhile trade off.
San Francisco seems to be an expensive town with disconcerting levels of homelessness and drug dependency. And begging.
Unfortunately, this hotel is not in a good part of town, but is slightly less expensive than many better-placed establishments. That said, just about the almost only staff I encountered who knew their jobs was an attendant in the hotel's parking garage, and he was excellent, the only one to deserve a tip, upon which they ALL seem to depend so much. Most if not all of the rest appeared entirely untrained and lacking any appreciation of customers' needs.
The bedroom was somewhat basic, and the wifi was as good as useless there. The bedroom's heating/cooling system was somewhat primitive in its operation too.
To summarise, this hotel seems, generally, to be run on a penny-pinching principles. I wouldn't stay again, even if I ended up paying a little more (which seems highly probable).
