Beach and walking distance to luxury shopping and dining.
Breakfast while good, was standard fare with nothing exciting. View from restaurant fabulous!
Great location. The 7th floor restaurant with the spectacular view is great for breakfast. The staff was great.
It's definitely time to upgrade this facility. The lobby is showing it's age and needs a new look. The wi-fi comes and goes. Why buy flat screen high def TV's and not provide a high def signal? The analogue picture is barely watchable.
The location is great. The beach is right across the street, very easy to get to.
The cleanliness and room service left much to be desired. Definitely not worth the price.
Proximity to the beach. Great Staff. Excellent location.
Bathroom needs attention Rooms are small Food is overpriced, and not enough options.
This is our second visit to this hotel and we will definitely return on our next vacation in the States. Our thanks especially go to Arron and Chuck in the Restaurant, the service they provided was second to none.
Tub needs no slip tape
Position to St Armands. Free parking ( $12 per day at Orlando Holiday Inn ) Fabulous view from ocean facing rooms. Rooftop restaurant good value.
Having to come home!
Not for young people
Excellent food in the restaurant. Cleanliness Proximity to the beach
Rooms a bit small No microwave in the room
- Location - Beach towels (and the return thereof) - Fast and easy checkout
- When we returned to the Hotel at 22:00 hrs on Sat night the bar was already closed.
Amazing location, it is over the road from a great beach, what more could you ask for! very friendly staff thank you for a great night stay
The beach location could not beat. Sad that the rooftop dining has such a poor dining choice. It was very nice for breakfast.
The staff was not helpful in providing any information about surrounding dining, attractions or any information.
Shopping and Beach so close!
Bar could stay open a little later!
Location, bed was very comfortable
Old/ little out dated, bathroom small
The location was excellent. Very nice pool area with small Tikki bar. Breakfast was good and the view was incredible. Good parking available. Large rooms with fantastic view. Nice balcony area.
It is a little dated. The bathrooms need updating and could be a little cleaner. Would be great if they offered chairs and umbrellas for the beach, even if it was an extra charge. Bar service was slow and the drinks were weak.
Cost, especially compared to other oceanfront hotels. Breakfast room upstairs with a view. Perfect WiFi, water pressure, TV and AC, all the basics are right The location is unbeatable with the Atlantic Ocean across the street and St. Armaud's Circle an easy walk. The balconies were you can hear the sea and watch clouds, rainbows and thunder. Yes, even the storm are picturesque here.
The "cityview" is not really a view of the city unless you are on upper floors. That's kind of untrue in the ads. The beach towels could be easier to access. You have to get them at the front desk.
Since this was going to be the last Holiday Inn I ever stayed at, I was really looking at the whole picture. I was pleasantly surprised and will consider Holiday Inns in the future. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Kudos to PHIL! We though the breakfast buffet was tasty and reasonable.
Although the hotel was exceptionally clean I felt the hotel as a whole was dated. Not enough counter space in the bathroom.
We spent a 3 days mini vacation at the Holiday Inn on Lido Beach and were positively surprised. Great service (Fast Check-in, Dog friendly Hotel, very clean refurbished room, perfect buffet Breakfast, beach towels, parking and Wifi provided at no extra cost, Restaurants at walking distance) We liked our room overlooking the city as we only spent our nights there, and the city lights were much better vista then the darkness of the beach at night :) Sarasota has a lot to offer, the Ringling Museum's European collection is breathtaking. We can't wait to get back when the Opera Season starts.
Only one little thing :( On the third morning my wife asked if we could finally sit by the window, overlooking the beautiful beach at Breakfast. A blonde Waitress said again what she said the mornings before: All seats are window seats in this restaurant! And she rushed us to another table in the middle of the room. Instead of this repeated bad joke, she should have offered us to wait a few minutes until another table opens up. It seems that only she was on the rush. We were on vacation, without the need to be stressed by a stressed Waitress. Besides that, there was nobody else waiting for tables that time, it would have been very easy to wow us. Our Server Chuck, on the other hand did a wonderful job and made us almost forget his unprofessional colleague's bad service skills.
Fabulous location with a great view of the beach and short walk to St. Armand's Circle.
Satellite TV went out twice for extended periods of time due to storms.
We travel as much as our schedule allows us to. This hotel is our favorite. Directly across from the most beutiful beach you can imagine - soft white sand, aqua blue water, sand dollars and breathtaking sunsets. The 7th floor breakfast with a sensational 360 degree veiw of the ocean is worth it all alone. The rooms were clean comfortable and quiet. The staff are very helpful, pleasant and amongst the best we have dealt with. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking some sun, beach and a nice swim in the ocean.
No complaints. We stayed 6 night and do not want to go home.
Great location, fantastic bed.
Thought it was a little pricey for the age of the facility..
Great location. Lots of parking and very nice staff. Clean,
older facility with some outdated and worn looking features.
Great location. Panorama breakfast room. Sea view from the room.
Price where breakfast is not even complementary Overall look and feel inside hotel: quite old infrastructure.
close to the beach
dirty bath, nedd to clean soap scum, sheets was used already with hairs
