the lady at the desk gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner and she was right on about what was good.
The fire alarm went off, no one seemed to know why at the front desk, an engineer entered our room while we were in it one night, he thought the room was empty, the shower support fell off the wall when we went to use it. Every thing seemed to be under repair.
Good location near the historic downtown area. We were made very welcome and the breakfast was very good indeed.
The room and the hotel environs are in need of an upgrade. We felt that our one night stay was over priced by some margin!
Much too expensive
Nothing really sticks out just an average place.
You have to pay to eat a subpar breakfast so we ate out instead. Was placed in a handicap room that turns out was not exactly clean. The maintanence person should be fired. You can see where he rigged things like the shower head and floor tile. I should have paid a little more to get a better room closer to the attractions. Life lesson you pay for what you get. What's 11.75 room tax per day? This is not a resort! Will not stay there again.
The hotel is not as close in the historical district as they lead you to believe. When we got there to check in, the front desk clerk rushed us through our paperwork( he was very rude too) and gave us a key to a room on the third floor. Upon going to said room, my husband used the key to open the door and someone else was already in there!! Then, as we are going to the front desk to tell them what happened, using the stairs, on the second step, I fell and busted my tailbone! There were NO wet floor signs out, and just looking at the step you could not see it was wet. My husband said after I fell, he heard someone down stairs scurry out with the mop bucket. When we finally made it down the the front desk and spoke with the manager, she did comp us out one night of our stay, for which I was grateful, but overall had such a bad experience I would never stay again. They were also in the middle of a remodel, which was messy and noisy and I feel they should disclose that when you are booking the hotel.
The room was large and comfortable. Overall it was good value for money.
Renovations were being carried out which became inconvenient since some areas were out of bounds and an elevator was out of action for part of the time.
stayed in room 113, up half the night with doors slamming.
Conveniently located, hotel and room were clean and comfortable, staff was very helpful
condition of hotel was very good and they are even renovating. breakfast arrangements were excellent very good value parking
Wifi, didn't always work or was very slow
The location and room was great. Also enjoyed being able to have breakfast right at the hotel.
I booked a room with a King size bed and sleeper sofa for 2 nights. We arrived and I was only given a room with a King size bed. I complained that I was given the wrong room, but the woman checking me in couldn't explain why we couldn't have the room we booked and paid more money for. She assured me though that we could have the room at 8 the next morning. This didn't make sense because check out wasn't even until 11. The next morning I spoke with a different employee at the check in desk and he gave us complimentary breakfast for 2 days and a complimentary dinner buffet because he was unable to adjust the price of the rooms because I booked them through a third party.
Rooms clean, comfortable and staff very helpful
close to center of town walking distance staff were polite and friendly
Breakfast was great and staff was friendly and accommodating.
Would have liked to be a little closer to st. George street but the hotel is very close to the fountain of youth and the trolley will come directly to the hotel to pick you up.
Dinning room service was outstanding especially Michele & the cook that was on the morning of Aug. 28. Went out of their way to make what I wanted.
The cleaning cart was next door to our room when we went down to breakfast on Aug 30 but room didn't get cleaned. Even after one of the girls said she would come back at the time we were gone (3:45) Disapointing for a suite.
Location was within walking distance of Trolley and other attractions nearby. Breakfast buffet was good.
WiFi reception was poor. Being awakened at 0300 because of fire alarm. Was told that it was because dust from renovation got into alarm system.
Staff was great. If you asked for it they did their very best to make it happen and very quickly.
Internet was horrible. It was longer then a walking distance to the College and downtown so you had to drive and find a parking spot.
Nothing in particular was stand out. The breakfast attendants were very friendly.
Staff was not friendly nor helpful.
Close to old town which made sightseeing very easy. Had dinner at the hotel. It was very good food. Wait staff was very nice.
Our one room had ants which the staff took care of immediately.
staff was very friendly and helpful. we had traveled 8 hours with a one year old and staff very graciously allowed us to check in early. there was an issue with the door not working correctly but they had staff working on it and had it fixed in moments ( the batteries in the door lock were dead) room was clean and well maintained. good location you can walk to historic sites and is quick drive to downtown and beaches
very difficult time getting the wifi to work..super slow and difficult to connect to
Beds were comfortable and lighting was good
The fact that the staff who cared for the room was not very responsible. 1. There were missing pillowcases when we arrived. 2. Shampoo was never repoaced (very tiny bottles just 1. I had my 16 year old grandaughter and her friend and ran out the first night.) 3. The coffee machine was not cleaned and no new coffee was left for the room.
Friendly staff. Close to downtown. Clean and quiet.
Rooms looked very new and were very clean.
Probably the furthest hotel away from the main attraction area, thru the day the route was okay to walk but on an evening it felt a little uneasy and unsafe. There was a big black beetle in the dining area for breakfast, we watched it walk the whole floor then crawl up the wall by the cereal station. Breakfast was so overpriced at $13 per person, really not good value for money at all.
That it was near the castillo of san marcos and near alot of other attractions
It was small and it was dirty i had also asked housekeepers if they could please clean my room and wasnt done
