The grounds were beautiful. Lovely view of ocean.
Service was not good. We had booked four months in advance and were not in the main hotel. We had to carry our luggage to the outlying building and no one helped. We are in our seventies but fortunately are physically fit. Next, when we wanted a room with a view, we had to pay over $200 a night to get a partial view. The wifi in the room did not work. It only worked if we walked to the lobby in the main building. There was no computer room. It was lucky we brought our iPads. We could understand that service might be stressed if it were the summer but we were there during the "off" season. We were disappointed.
Resterant was to high ended. Bar was not inviting and it felt like you were in the dinning area. No towels at the pool. Hot tub was not clean, water smelled.
the location of the hotel to downtown Bar Harbor was good as well as to Acadia National State Park
The room was outdated in design and did not have a fresh smell. Beds not very comfortable. Food was just O.K. in their onsite restaurant.
The rooms were very clean, nice location, felt very safe.
Had problems with the toilet and the a/c was noisy. Also the hostess did not come find us when our table in the restaraunts was ready.. I had to track her down.
Perfect location! Restaurant with the perfect view.
The 'old-fashioned' furniture; interior needs a make-over
The building we were in is a cast-off. It needs a lot of TLC.
No elevator in the annex building. Had to carry our luggage up to the third-floor. Unacceptable.
Key card failed two days of our 4 day stay.
Beautiful view pool and hot tub
Everything, easy trip back and forth to downtown and Cadilac mountain, along withe restaurants. Don't miss "The Chart Room" a couple of miles North of the Motel.
View was excellent, very attractive pool and jacuzzi.
No elevator to third floor. Kitchen closed at 10 PM, even though menu says till 11:00, bed not very comfortable.
I was a all around great experience.
Great location & public transportation stops at hotel
Bar is expensive
The location it wasn't far from downtown and our stay at Holday Inn was quiet and relaxing.
That a continental breakfast wasn't included. Didn't feel welcome to use the facilities at the hotel connected to the H.I.
The view, the bar, friendliness and efficiency of the staff at the bar and in the restaurant.
It was just fine.
Great location.great restaurant. the staff went above and beyond in all aspects. Would highly recommend this hotel.
The view and the grounds were very pretty for the time of year. Decorated nice.
No schuttle service ran for intown trips. Disappointing. A parking spot for the hotel was differcult to find some nights . The fire pit outside wasn't working. The weather was great at nights for it, but it was Never lite. Disappointing , because it was advertised.
Everything, if you want to relax this is the place. Employe's are all very helpfull the room service was excellent. The breakfast package was unbeleivable all you could ever want for breakfast and more. " A view that is spectacular ".
Can't think of anything !
The view from the restaurant was beautiful Staff members were friendly and courteous
Our room, in addition to being located in a smaller older building with a view of the parking lot, was situated next to the very noisy elevator. Every time the elevator was used (starting about 7 AM), the noise was loud enough to interrupt normal conversation.
Good size room with good facilities, nice grounds and if in the right rooms overlooks Bar Harbor. Double check with the hotel what the room offers prior to booking.
Too far to walk to restaurants but only a $5 cab ride. We paid extra on bookings.com for a deluxe king room but on arrival was only offered a standard room and had to pay an extra $40 per night to get what we booked. We paid for an upgrade twice. The rooms as listed on booking.com we're not recognised by the hotel.
The room was old with black stuff on ceiling and cracks. Dark and dingy. We had last room on first floor. People next to us had 6 people in their room and saw a lot of pets snuck in. Disappointed with quality of rooms cuz I took my elderly parents. Bar harbor was beautiful
betterveiw of ocean
dark in woods
Excellent management helpful courteious staff.
The first night we had an extremely noisiy night in an seperate building with road noise, when we talked to the manager in the morning, he promtly had us moved to the main hotel. After told we were celebrating our 50th anniversary our breakfast was complimentary by the dining staff.
Clean room, good location, quiet, bed very comfortable. Maid service is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.
WiFi access was spotty or unavailable on several occasions. Breakfast buffet was disappointing, as some food was overcooked, some barely warm, and there were no good options for someone with Diabetes or other dietary needs. For $17, you can find better meals in town.
The view was just what we expected. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck after walking through all the shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. The scenery was outstanding.
Getting hit up for an extra $40 a night for a room with an ocean view. Even after seeing the Booking.com confirmation the clerk said she would settle for $20/night. The issue was resolved at checkout.
