Breakfast was excellent
Dinner (steak salad) was lacking. Beef was very gristly and there was very little lettuce on the plate. They did a nice recovery & replaced beef with chicken and brought more lettuce.
No hand bars in the shower. Find that a safety issue.
Spacious , quiet, clean rooms. Great pool area. Nice bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. Good location and parking. Free wi-fi and in-room coffee & refrigerator.
We loved the rooms, pool, nightly movies at the pool, free shuttle to universal studios.
Charge for parking, wifi was slow, and restaurant was expensive.
I do not normally respond to hotel surveys because I stay at so many of them, but I feel I really need to make people aware of some of the problems we had at Beverly Garland. I was travelling with a group of 6 people and we had 3 rooms in total. When we arrived ,we explained that we had not had much sleep in over 30 hours and needed rooms urgently, but we were told that none were available, even though it was late in the morning. Some of us complained and some of us offered more money and mysteriously the rooms were then available. The experience with the staff was not great, one example I was charged for my room as well as the room for other people in my party, even though I had explained that we were all paying for our rooms separately. I was promised an immediate refund, but this did not happen until a week later, not a problem for me , but I can imagine it would be for some people. It was still annoying as I had to keep checking to see it had been done for a week. People in our group also complained the staff were rude, but we didn't personally experience any rudeness . The room door key cards were a major problem for all of us ( in all 3 rooms). They would only work about 2 times out of 3, and you would need to go all the way back to the office to have them reprogrammed. We were blamed for this constant irritation, and told we were keeping them too close to our mobile phones, which was not the case , it would happen even when I did not have my phone on me. I thought the way the staff handled this situation and their explanation for it was exceptionally poor. I found the room and the restaurant average for a hotel in this price range.
On the plus side, the gardens are beautiful and the pool area is exceptional (even though we did not use it, it is very impressive). The shuttle is an excellent service to provide your guests and one of the hotel’s main assets.
The restaurant and bar were fantastic. The room was very comfortable ( we had a newly renovated one)
The in room coffee facilities needed milk and sugar. None available. Seemed a bit disjointed at times, due to renovation work.
the room we had was not available due to a burst pipe - at first we were just given another smaller room - this was not big enough - the hotel staff gave us an extra room with no extra charge and they also gave us free parking. the shuttle to Universal Studios was very convenient. Hotel had adjacent restaurant which what very convenient for dinner and breakfast
the hotel was undergoing farily extensive renovations - i think you should be told this before you confirm your booking. The noise was loud and there were a lot of workman and their materials everywhere from quite early in the morning.
Everything was completely amazing here! Unfortunately, I should have looked more closely at the fact that it most definitely is a non smoking hotel. Not even on the balcony. I didn't have to learn the hard way, just upon checking in.
It was near our family Restaurant was very good Kids loved the pool
Pillows were hard Beds so-so Parking was very expensive
Customer centricity, especially the person who worked in the Shop ( concierge?). He helped me to find a hairdresser in the nabourhood.
Great cozy feel, ideally located for business in Burbank or for nearby tourist attractions (shuttles available). Self park is easy and reasonably priced. Renovated rooms were super clean and comfortable. Nice property, relatively quiet being conveniently located just off 101 freeway. Easy access to Hollywood and downtown as well.
unprofessional staff at front desk, room was basic and out-dated,towels and linens were of poor quality, the shower wouldn't drain....not at all worth the money.
minimum facilities, no refrigerator, no microwave, even no paper cup.
the shuttle is great, and there is a good supermarket nearby room is quite cosy, my friends really love the pool as well
the toliet cannot work properly, and didnot fixed well during our three day living
Very good restaurant, good dinner and breakfast, service to Metro and Universal, Perfekt with a washingroom when you are out trevelling with children. Good pool area.
It was really closed to universal studios.
Right next to the freeway and at night you can hear all the cars.
Parking fee breakfast not included with the room price
Great breakfasts at the restaurant. Very clean and close proximity to most touristy places in LA. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free wifi!
I didn't like that there was no refrigerator and microwave in the room.
the free shuttle to universal city and metro eavery 1 hr is good. there is a supermarket raphls near the corner.
except the price
Perfect location to visit the Universal Studios. The hotel and the restaurant are nicely decorated and welcoming.
Nothing at all
free shuttle, late check out
wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom. We asked for a late check out and they said ok but our keys didn't work. They said they fixed them but one set for room 417 didn't work and my sister had to go back again to fix it.
