Worked with me in my time of need
Close to the train tracks so a bit noisy. Rooms themselves quite noisy. The first morning we were woken by a child open and closing the door in the room next door. The staff moved us immediately without question.
Location for the prive
The bedding are too rough!
Location is good!
$37.00 per night to park is ridicules.
Very comfortable bed. Close to the mall
I have nothing negative to say. We loved it all!
The location of this hotel was the selling point for us. We considered others that were cheaper and further away but so glad we chose this one and walked everywhere!
Location was perfect and every one from the maids to parking attendants were friendly.
Close to just about everything.
We parked the car when we got there and the next time I got in it was when we left. We were able to walk everywhere or take public transportation (bus or metro).
Adjoining rooms only had one door so you can hear EVERYTHING going on with guests in the other room. its a little uncomfortable as it sounds like they are in the room with you. Staff was great when we complained and moved us but even in the rooms without connecting doors there is a weird sound transmission thing going on near the windows.
Location is great.
Restaurant food and service was very slow. Staff were great.
Convenient to National Mall.
There was lots of noise - other guests in the hallways were loud after 10:30 pm and the was construction noise in the room above us.
This hotel was in easy walking distance of the Mall and a metro station. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious.
The line of the train outside my room, wake me up early morning, looks like that I was in the train station, it is funny!
A parking fee of $37/day, which we were not told about in advance, was exorbitant. Booking. com should have indicated the high price.
Tons of add-on expenses/taxes. (probably not their fault) Did not know it was $37+ per day to park. Booking.com should mention this!
Nearness to mall
I have never paid so much for a hotel room - just a Holiday Inn. it ended up 410$ per night!!! apart from the location, nothing else can justify this high price. supply and demand in Washington, I guess.
The walls are so thin that we can hear other guests in the rooms next door. There was also construction with a loud pounding noise all day.
within walking distance of museums we wanted to see
Only gave us one bottle of water Wish there was 2 chairs in room
Keruig coffee maker Refrigerator
This hotel is directly in the City Center and in walking distance to the Airport Express Shuttle Bus which is a cheap way to get downtown
Not exclusive to Holiday Inn but paying $37/night to park a vehicle is absurd. Never heard of such nonesense and should be included. Will never stay in d.c. again because of this.
The facilities themselves were excellent. Very clean, probably cleanest i have ever visited. Cordial staff is always a plus.
No microwave in the suite.
Customer Service was great in that they dealt with our power problem quickly, with a smile and even gave us breakfast
I could hear teen girls next door much of the night--not real loud but enough to wake me up a few times. I could hear TV on other side.
Clean, convenient, nice atmosphere. Holiday Inn is usually my first choice in traveling.
I was shocked to find out there was a $37/day parking fee (apparently this is normal for DC). Park on the street for free during the weekend. Also was charged a "DC hotel tax fee" of $17 when we checked out that no one told us about upon check in.
The hotel was within walking distance of the Smithsonian museums and other must see landmarks. Very friendly staff and super comfy bed!
